Pre theater dinner spot.
Beautiful view of the Chicago river on a sunny day. Perfect for pre theater dinners.

For a recently opened restaurant,
For a recently opened restaurant, we were pleased with food. Service was slow, and seemed uncertain at times. Nice menu though, and would return.

Before the show
We went to an early dinner before the theater. It was not crowded, we had a nice view of the river and city. The service was very good and they got us out in time for the show without feeling rushed. The food was very good. Walleye was well prepared. One of our group ordered a sandwich which was very big and delicious.
The honey goat cheese ice cream was heavenly!
Short walk to the Goodman and it was a delightful evening.

We had a window table overlooking the Chicago River and Wacker Drive which makes for an exceptional eating backdrop.
The place is crowded at lunch time but when we were there after the matinee, there was no crowd. Service is attentive and
friendly which is why I am a repeat customer.

We had a nice, quick pre-theater dinner. Service was very good and menu had a decent selection. I especially liked the corn/crab chowder.
Was a little surprised how empty the place was on a Friday night. And even with the renovation, it's not an intimate dining experience.

Good Choice for Pre-Theater Dining
Limited but adequate menu, some choices less than $20. Good service and great view.

Good Pre-theater spot.
Last minute theater tickets mean not much time to reserve a spot for dining. I had looked at numerous spots close to the Goodman Theater, and couldn't get in when we wanted to eat. Great Street was not busy and is only two short blocks away from the theater. The view is spectacular and there was no waiting. Server was patient when the 3rd person was a bit late to join. We had a relaxing dinner with good conversation - no shouting to be heard or smiling in that dumb way when you have no idea what your table mate has just said. I'll remember to do this again.

As always, a great place to eat with a terrific Chicago view!

Selected Great Street for its location and its view and it did not disappoint. Had a table by a window with a view of the Chicago River. Did nnot realize that they had a buffet it you were interested and everyone in my party selected this option. Plenty of variety including omelets cooked to order. Would I come back - definately!

Hidden in plain sight
Have gone past the hotel many times and was not aware of the 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the Chicago River. We enjoyed a flatbread starter followed by salads and fish and steak entrees. All of the dishes were prepared to our satisfaction. The wine was a nice find. We enjoyed the quiet environment making it easy to converse with old friends. This would make a great spot for watching parades passing on Wacker and State Street one story above street level.
