Nice addition to downtown dining.
We were surprised by the location and the way the restaurant is laid out. They have a big area in the atrium for "al fresco" dining. The actual dining room was not being used. It is an interior space that looks out on 6th St. We sat at a table just off the bar looking out into the atrium. It was a bit odd but the view was fun. The look was quite good. The chicken Barley soup was wonderful. It was in a tomato cream base which is unusual. The food portions are hearty and the flavors nicely developed on the meat and sauces. Prices were reasonable for downtown dining. I would return.

Even though my wife and I arrived late and close to the time the kitchen closed, the staff was very helpful and cooked us a great dinner. It would have been nice for them to keep the kitchen open past 7:30 on a Friday night but I should have realized this when I went to make reservations and it would not accept anything after 7:00 PM. Overall it was a great experience and I can't thank them enough.

A Little Off the Beaten Path
We found this gem when traveling to Minneapolis for a recent convention. The grilled seafood platter was phenomenal! Service was attentive. We loved it so much we when back a second night during our trip and brought more people with us. Located in downtown Minneapolis business district in a high rise bank building (a couple of blocks off Nicollet Mall) - so the exterior ambience isn't all that charming but the food was truly outstanding. Unfortunately, there were very few guest so we hope they'll still be around the next time we come to Minneapolis.

Went for a nice dinner with another couple. We shared the meat platter and everything was delicious. Our favorite was the ground chicken kabob but all the meat was perfectly done. I would recommend the saffron, pistachio and rosewater ice cream for dessert!!!!!

Another wonderful lunch. This
Another wonderful lunch. This time to celebrate a birthday. The server was right-on with her suggestions. The harissa mayo with the walleye sandwich was just right; not too hot. The shrimp-curry wrap was very good, but could have used a little more shrimp. The server was correct-it is messy to eat! The omelet of the day was terrific.

I revisited Atlas for a business lunch last week and was very pleased to find the same good food and good service that I remembered. We ate in the atrium area which is a nice change from the confines of an ordinary restaurant. My salmon was excellent as was my guest's chicken dish. I plan to return.

We had the pasta of the day
We had the pasta of the day and it was so good I wanted to lick the dish to get every last bit of the sauce.
It was soooo good! Will definatly go there again.

Good place for a meeting
Atlas grill is one of those out of the Way downtown spots that works great for a business lunch. The indoor part of the restaurant works best for a quiet conversation and the food is simple fare , so everyone can find something they like. Service can be spotty, feels like a lot of turnover, but that's one diners perception. Hearts of palm salad and daily omelettes are two of my favourites.

I've been going to Atlas since
I've been going to Atlas since they opened downtown. It's one of my favorite restaurants downtown. I recommend it to business associates when they come into town and we also have had several group lunches there for work. Very friendly staff and very good food!

Dinner? Not so much....
Drinks - average to above average
Appetizer, calamari - very good
Dinner, pork loin - very good, salmon - average to below (overcooked with a can of spicy black beans dumped on top)
Location - easy to get to using skyway system, definite plus!
Ambiance - well, expected dining room setting but apparently there were no other reservations for that evening so they had "reserved" a booth in the expansive bar area while leaving restaurant area "clean" - not what was wanted or wouldn't have bothered with reservation (LOUD)
Recommendation - not bad if other places already booked but don't bother with reservation for dinner, apparently not on anyone's "go to" list
2nd Recommendation - if offered "1000 point reservations" by Open Table, don't use!

Always a good place for a business
The Food, Service are always good. The "open air" dining is a nice change for us in MN who don't get to eat outside once the weather turns cold.
