We spent my husband's 39th birthday here (it was our first time). Anduluca was such a pleasant dining experience. I'm a vegetarian and the risotto I had was wonderful. The cheese plate we tried was fantastic too. The bread was served with a delicious hummus and my sangria was very flavorful. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Excellent service; Wonderful food
We made reservations at Andaluca for our 16th Anniversary dinner. We arrived and were seated right away. The host then returned with a gluten free menu without even being asked (we had noted in our reservation that one of us was gluten free). He then returned again with two glasses of champagne and wished us a happy anniversary. What a wonderful gesture!
The service at this restaurant is excellent. Our waiter was attentive and could answer any question we asked, without being intrusive in the slightest.
The food was amazing! We had several small plates, a salad and several glasses of a wonderful wine. The small plates were so tasty and delicious that we decided to forego an entree.
It was a lovely evening!

A quiet gem
From the moment we walked in, this place was so wonderful. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and interesting. We ordered the fixed price dinner paired with wine. It was all fabulous. The place seems like a quiet wonderful secret in the midst of a bustling neighborhood. Enjoy.

Outstanding Food, Painless Price
The watermelon gazpacho was delicious, the scallops were tender and flavorful, and the creme brulee was a delight. Well done!!

We went to Andaluca for an anniversary meal and found that it was just perfect for us. The food was perfect. My husband loved every dish on the 5 course taster menu - including the chilled soup and salad, neither of which he would normally order. The staff had just the right balance of friendliness and professionalism, and accommodated my whims with grace - it's not easy to accommodate a non-fish, non-steak eater in Seattle!

Quality food & service
Service at Andaluca was attentive but not intrusive. One of us had the pris fixe tasting menu, and the other had choices from the standard menu. The soups were excellent, and gluten-free choices were plentiful (including the pris fixe menu as well as the soup du jour). All around it was a very enjpyable evening at a reasonable price for upscale food.

Great culinary experience.
Great culinary experience. Small dishes were great for sampling many items. Reasonably priced.

Wonderful 5 course dinner
The fixed price 5 course dinner was excellent. The melon-cucumber soup, the beet salad and the included wines were praised by all four of us. The halibut and the dessert were very good. The cheese course so-so. As an added note - Olliver's, the bar lounge of the attached Mayflower Park Hotel was a great place for a pre-dinner drink and visit. We will return and try the small plates portion of the menu.

Excellent and fun
We tried a number of small plates... more fun and interesting than only one entree. The asparagus, kale, and scallop small plates were outstanding. Our waitperson was very conscientious, concerned that we liked the wines we had selected with our various dishes. We ate early (6:30) and the atmosphere was very pleasant with soft music and lighting. We will certainly return on our next Seattle visit.
8/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
first dining experience
Our server was extremely patient with us as we took a while to decide on our meal. Mixologist made a special request drink that was wonderful. We had a wonderful overall experience as this was our first time at Andalucas.

Loved everything about the place
God place to take clients or a special occasion. Prices are good and food is awesome

FANTASTIC DINING EXPERIENCE!!!!!!
The service was fantastic, when we told them we were going to the concert they stayed very aware of the time and made sure we were done in time. Food was fantastic, I had King Salmon that was served over a bed of roasted cauliflower and the dish had so many taste layers it was incredible. My wife had a couple of the small plates-sauteed kale with a chicken au jus and pine nuts and then the eggplant, both of which she said were fantastic. Dinner was accompanied by a bottle of Washington Pinot Gris, which besides being very good, was also beneifiting from a 15% discount on all Washington wines (not sure how long that is on). All in all, WOW hardly does this place justice!!

Great Service and Warm Ambiance
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine selection, and the service. Andaluca is just the right size to be comfortable and intimate but not congested. It's right downtown Seattle with free valet parking too. We had two couples and added a late fifth to the party and the staff graciously moved us to a larger table. Will return to this experience.

As Always, A Delicious Dinner
One had the birthday prix fixe menu & wine flight, the other assorted small plates. While the prix fixe servings seemed small (that sliver of cheese to start!), they added up to exactly the right amount. Very good wines & pairings. The tomato sauce took the halibut to great heights, and the tiny julienned vegetables converted a non-ratatouille liker. On the small plates, the scallops were luscious and the potatoes with chorizo and eggs, amazing. The one glitch: unlike previous visits, the timing of plates from the kitchen was uneven. Sometimes we waited a bit for a next serving, though never too long, and once our new plates came before we'd finished the previous servings. Service friendly, helpful. Always a treat to eat here.

Small restaurant, but good food
The restaurant is physically very small, which we weren't expecting. The hostess stand and bar are mixed in amongst the few tables and booths, giving the place a mildly cramped feel. Atmosphere wise, the decor and overall vibe were a mix between old-school lounge and modern.
My wife and I went there while on vacation in the area, and enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good, and the wait staff very friendly.
9/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
This is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I am a foodie and was raised by foodies. So, if you are wanting to have some of the best, well-balanced, complex flavored meals you have ever eaten, then this is the place for you.
9/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
We keep returning to Andaluca's for our special events year after year for the wonderful ambiance, great food and impeccable service. We have yet to find another restaurant that we like as much for a quiet romantic dinner. My husband tried the prix fixe dinner this time which was an incredible deal for a great price. I ordered off the regular menu and we were both happy with our choices.

Great for GF/DF diners!
Went here on a whim after a Symphony concert because they had a table. So glad we chose this place! I have celiac disease, & need to eat gluten/egg/dairy-free due to add'l allergies; my husband cannot eat dairy either, so we usually try to avoid those 3 major allergens. The staff was very accommodating, and the restaurant had a gluten-free menu. Our wait staff went to consult with the chef to come up with what I might be able to have (since the GF menu doesn't preclude dairy/eggs), and to my delight, we found out they could arrange most things on the menu to suit my needs.
Had some delicious grilled quail with currant sauce along w/ other small plates and nice sangria, then enjoyed the petite lamb chops. We'll be back when in downtown!

We were treated like royalty.
We were treated like royalty. We stumbled upon the "anniversary special," a 4-course meal paired with wines. The food was remarkable and the presentation eye-catching. Portions were not too big, nor too small. The staff was extraordinary - one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in the past several years.
9/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
the food was excellent, the server was attentive without being overbearing, and had a good knowledge of the wine/drink list. the decor is fantastic, really fits the mood of the style of food being served. i could see it being a little loud near the door, or cramped at the bar, but we had a booth with plenty of room and felt like we were in our own world in a fully-booked restaurant. just wished we had known restaurant week was coming up, since it was a little pricey, but even at full price it's worth it.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Wonderful meal before a performance at Paramount, on a Sunday evening. Our server was great, meal came out at nice pace, so we could make it to play on time but not be rushed. I loved the menu, it was Restaurant Week everything wonderful.
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Cozy restaurant with friendly staff
I was surprised about this small cozy little restaurant. But more so I was pleasantly surprised with the attentive staff and freshly prepared meals. Food was good and I enjoyed the experience.

Great Restaurant Week Menu
This restaurant was highly rated on TripAdvisor, so my friends and I decided to try it while on business in Seattle. We started the meal with paella croquettes, that were quite good, crisp on the outside, and not at all greasy. We each chose 1 of the 3 entrees on the Restaurant Week Menu. My companions' entrees, the braised lamb dish and mushroom risotto, were delicious, but I think my seafood caldereta, with its assortment of perfectly cooked seafood (calamari, mussels, shrimp, scallops, fish) was the best of the 3 entrees. We finished with 2 of the desserts: liquid chocolate cake and ginger spice cake. Both were wonderful and not too sweet but the chocolate cake was our favorite with its warm, gooey center.

Andaluca - 3 for 28 - "go now!"
The 3 courses for $28 during Seatlte restaurant week is outstanding. Started with the greens-and-squash salad, beautifully dressed and served in a pico style tower, that was delightful to eat and to deconstruct. She had the fruit-de-mer main dish with mussels and clams; and I had a fragrant, fulsome beef tagine in a sauce that would have taken me days to make with half the quality - it was a world class, intense tagine. Paired it with an Oregon Pinot Noir, but a Lemberger or a Rioja would have been just as well - neither on the per-glass menu. Desert was a liquid choclate something or other that just sends you into orbit; glad I had a little PN left to wash it down - sherry would have been better. Con: it's still too dark in Andaluca.

Good friends, good food
Very warm, inviting atmosphere. Our server was very attentive & personable. The food was AMAZiNG! I recommend the risotto!

This is a beautiful restaurant,
This is a beautiful restaurant, with excellent ambiance. The food is good too, but it didn't knock my socks off. I was there for Restaurant Week. The salad was excellent but pretty small. The lamb tagine was good, but needed something to amp up its presentation and some more vegetables and dates. The molten chocolate cake was certainly delicious, but kind of standard, I wanted some fruit flavor (cherry would be wonderful). The service is fine, very nice, but not at the level where one is almost not aware of, maybe because my server was a bit young. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, but entrees are pricey unless it is restaurant week.

Tapas and Other Spanish dishes
Good small plates and Spanish dishes. Website should mention free valet parking! Nice room and good service, tasty cocktails.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food and location.
Went with 7 for a birthday celebration. Love that there is valet service(and if you then go to a show it is cool to leave the car). Food was overall excellent and imaginative. We were never rushed. Only complaint was the in attentive service. We has been seated >15 minutes before anyone came over, even to take a drink order or say hello. No wine list until we asked for it. The restaurant was not full so hard to figure out the delay.
Couldn't stay for dessert as we had a show. Would definitely come back. Huge plus was the gluten free menu!

Among the Best
Andaluca is a consistently outstanding restaurant. The menu offers a perfect range of options from reliable standards (the paella) to creative surprises (lamb tagine). The cocktails are some of the best in Seattle (their Manhattan is perfect) and the excellent wine list is reasonably priced. Best of all, their servers are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. During Seattle Restaurant Week they go way beyond what most restaurants offer in terms of quantity and quality.
10/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
Tasty and diverse
We went for the first time during Restaurant Week. Even though there is a limited menu for this event, there were still a variety of dishes to choose from. The service was friendly and prompt. We also appreciated the complimentary valet parking.
10/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
My wife and I went to Andaluca for Seattle Restaurant Week and we were very impressed. We thought the food was delicious, and for a 3-course meal, the portions were perfect. If I were to only order an entree (what I normally would do outside of Seattle Restaurant Week), I would want the portions to be slightly bigger, but for this they were perfect.
The host allowed us to sit at a table away from the door at our request so as not to be too cold, and our server offered to go next door to the hotel to get a wine that wasn't on the list in the restaurant.
All in all a great restaurant experience.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Had a delicious and filling
Had a delicious and filling Restaurant Week 3-course dinner for $28. Several choices were offered for appetizer, entree and dessert. Selected the paella croquettes filled with Arborio rice, chorizo, saffron, peas, carrots, piquillo peppers; roasted mushroom risotto with kale, onions, roasted garlic, goat cheese; and the liquid chocolate cake with crème caramel gelato. Excellent service by Charlotte added to the enjoyable dining experience.

Everything was great about
Everything was great about this place, the food, the server, the ambiance. The only problem we encountered was that it took us just about 2 hours to finish our three course meal during restaurant week. The wait between dishes seemed a bit excessive for us especially since we had gone to other restaurants during restaurant week and it never took 2 hours to complete.
10/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
A different take
Again this restaurant surprises and delights you. We ate there the last night of Seattle's dine out, we didn't know about it as we are from elsewhere. The croquettes and tangine were delicately spiced and brought memories of Morocco. The service was attentive and unintrusive. The wine list was carefully selected and had some unique offerings at reasonable prices. All this and the general ambience makes this the go-to dining place for my wife and myself, whenever we visit Seattle

A lovely Friday night
It was wonderful food. The paella was really good. I've lived in Spain so was excited to find this place. The noise level wasn't an issue. Once or twice I couldn't hear what my dining partner was saying but otherwise was completely fine. Our waitress hovered quite a few times which was a bit annoying - cutting off conversations and the like. I loved the environment as a whole. It is a good find. I'd definitely go back.

Amazing dinner- and gluten free!
This place was recommended by the concierge of our hotel when we asked for gluten free dining options in the area. It was amazing... The server was knowledgable about the menu and the gluten free options, recommended great wine pairings with our meal and even gave us some olives in lieu of bread, which was really thoughtful. Everything on the menu looked great and we had a difficult time choosing... We were not disappointed in our choices of appetizers, main courses,or desserts (there is a GF dessert too, that is chocolately goodness). We will be back!
10/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great dinner with an old friend. Food was wonderful (albeit a bit pricey - prices weren't bad, but don't expect much on your plate!) but certainly not as pricey as some other places we went to in downtown Seattle! Waiter was super nice and helpful - everything we had was delicious, as was the half-bottle of wine we got AND the dessert. The ONLY bad thing was the table with young kids (really? who brings their kids to a place like this?) with the overindulgent parents who thought it was cute for their kids to be yelling and clamoring for attention on a Saturday night). But really, it was one of my favorite places I ate at while in Seattle....

Fine Dining in Seattle At It's Best
Always a great dining experience. The atmosphere and ambience are wonderful. The food and service is top notch
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
How hidden could a restaurant be when it is a half block from the Westin and around the corner from the Westlake shopping area? Apparently, very hidden, as we never heard of this place. Thanks to OpenTable, we gave it a try and were happy we did. If you want uniquely prepared food that, in many instances, is healthy for you, this is the place. Service was excellent. It is smaller than most restaurants, so be sure to get reservations. We were too full to order some of their desserts, which also looked terrific. So, we will be back just for dessert in the future.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
We choose Andaluca based on its reviews from Open Table and Trip Advisor as well as its location to Benaroya Hall. The ambiance is wonderful - love the fresco murals and comfy booth seats. Our server was excellent - great recommendations and attention - in fact, the entire staff was warm, friendly and very welcoming. Two of us chose the paella and we were so delighted with the abundant flavors and perfection. The presentation was beautiful as well. The cocktails are excellent as well ~ their sangria has a great combination of spices.
They are easily within walking distance from Benaroya Hall - we parked at the parking garage across from Benaroya Hall ($8.00 for the evening) and enjoyed the walk there and back.

Hidden but outstanding
We had probably walked by this place a hundred times, but never gone in. Then we heard about it from some friends, then again from some business associates. So, we thought it would be worth checking it out. It is easy to find, the service is really friendly, the food is very good, and different - Mediterranean with a bow towards reality. The wine was really good, as was the advice on what to choose. A little taster was available if you weren't sure. Really, really friendly. I will go again, and again. Probably become a regular. It's that goo.d

Tapas and more
Amazing tapas (small plates), perfect for sharing and sampling a new taste. The beet and goat cheese salad and the lamb meatballs were the favorites. For dinner we shared the lamb tangine which was perfect. Dessert was a spice cake topped with fruit. Wonderful dining experience.

One of my favorites
Love the Restaurant Week menu. Mixed drinks at Andaluca are really good. Nice presentation of the food. This isone of my favorite places for yummy food and a nice visit with friends, especially if I'm already downtown.

Lovely Italian Dtwn Seattle Restaur
We came in on an evening train from Portland and found Andaluca on Open Table. The host ,bartender and waiters were very warm and hospitable. The ambiance was lovely, soft lights, espresso tones in decorations and the temperature was very comfortable. We would come back again. I ordered the fall mushroom risotto which was delicious, however I was disappointed with the presentation of the entree which was brown with a frail sprig of herb perched in the middle. Especially at this time of the year when days tend to be overcast and dark, it is important to enhance the dinners experience with some type of vegetable with accent color in the food presentation.
11/7/2013 4:00:00 PM
We had a wonderful dinner. I had fish (which as an Alaskan I am very picky about) and it was delicious. The waiter was great. He spent just enough time with us and was very helpful with menu and wine selections. We will definitely return.

Dine Around Seattle gem!
Andaluca's participation in the Dine Around Seattle promotion offering three courses for $30 provided a great introduction to the restaurant. We had a concert at Benaroya Hall following , and it was just a ten-minute walk away. As a bonus, Andaluca offers complimentary valet parking, and permits time to include a concert performance. We were very impressed with the selections offered on the $30 menu. The seasoning of each course was perfect. We shared different appetizers and entrees, but we both enjoyed the molten chocolate dessert - - truly bittersweet, not heavy! We enjoyed exceptional service from a well-trained, knowledgeable, and very attentive staff. How well-staffed Andaluca was, allowing each to do their job comfortably and well.

Great dinner out!
Two of us shared the entire meal. Our server was terrific. We asked for the food to be layered in service so we could try everything separately which she did perfectly. The shrimp small plate is exceptional and the scallops were cooked to perfection. We shared the mushrooms risotto which was rich and hearty. We ordered the vegan dish that the server suggested for my vegetarian friend which was innovative and a big hit. The nicest surprise was the hummus that comes with your bread. It was the best hummus we've ever had! Thanks.
11/22/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was delicious, and the service perfect. Many thanks.

Wonderful meal nice evening
Went with a friend to take advantage of Dine Around Seattle. It has years since I was last here but based on the other night I will return much sooner! Food was quite good, nice variety on Dine Around and regular menu, service was fantastic - attentive, non-rushed, friendly, helpful. A great evening all around.

Andaluca - always excellent
The food was delicious and service excellent, as always. This is a professionally run restaurant with the highest standards. My only complaint was that white wine was served insufficiently chilled. We had the same experience in October as well and actually added ice to the glasses; yet obviously it didn't stop us returning - and ordering white wine again. This time the Executive Chef made the rounds of the tables - a nice touch - and with our effusive praise of the food and service, mentioned the wine temperature. She's looking into it. As always, the food was delightful. We are coming back in December just for the lamb tagine, which Chef said may not be on the menu in January. The two of us spent approx $120 with 3 courses and wine.
