This was our first time at
This was our first time at this new restaurant. It occupies the space which Vesuvio's used to occupy. We were warmly welcomed. Service was attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was outstanding. The quail lollipops is one of the best appetizers have ever tasted. The rabbit was succulent and tender. There are several menu items which are unusual such as the "tongue and cheek." The wine list is not extensive but the wines are carefully chosen and offers a range of prices. I definitely recommend the restaurant and we will return.

Favorite New Restaurant
While we have been to the location before, it all seemed new so things started off great. Our server, Dave, was helpful with a fun sense of humor. I had the scallops and oxtail while my husband had the tongue and cheek. Both were beautiful and delicious. We shared the habanero grits. They were very good but could have used a bit more spice for us. We will be back soon. Highly recommend.

Super addition to West Little Rock
Another great place for fine dining in West Little Rock. We had the tomahawk rib eye that looked like it was straight out of the Flinstones! They had several entrees (some unusual) and sides that we will definitely try. My husband looked online and decided on that before we even entered the restaurant -- and it was cooked to perfection. Next time will be trying the tongue and cheek! You'll have to go to find out. This place will be a regular for us.
Wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive and the chef made his rounds to check on things. We joked that they needed to provide samples for some of the menu items and next thing we knew, they brought them!

Wow, unique food. Loved the tomahawk ribeye, crawfish cake, and Ox tail. The sides especially the creamed corn were equally delicious. Everyone in my party of 5 loved their meal and we will definitely come back. Recommend highly to all foodies in town. Plan to try the quail lollipops next visit. We plan to reserve table 28 and support Arkansas Children's Hospital in the near future. You should to.

Table 28 definitely a contender...
We usually give a new place at least a month to gel, but I'd received two great reviews so we had dinner at Table 28 on a slow Friday night. The old Vesuvio's location is still small and somber looking, but since it wasn't so crowded we could hear each other. The food was terrific. We ordered the quail lollipops, spicy and good, lots of kale -- in a salad and as a side dish, and the huge rib-eye, enough for two and take-home. The "farm" category dishes are perhaps the most original looking and I'll return to try them. There seem to be interesting vegetarian options. The biggest negative from the Vesuvio days, the Euro dance loop, has been replaced with more mainstream piano jazz and Kenny G. Thank you. We'll be back.

New GREAT Restaurant !
This is a new restaurant that already has its act together. GREAT and creative food selection, wonderful service, and a relaxing and upscale atmosphere. The chef came to the table after the main course was served, and he is exceptionally personable. Other staff were knowledgable and helpful. Atmosphere is very nice (DON'T be concerned that the restaurant is in a hotel). We hope this restaurant will be packed every night, as (West) Little Rock needs to keep this unique restaurant. Prices are reasonable; wine list has promise. We will be going back-- often, we hope.

Great Martini list and great food
Our experience at Table 28 was great but would really like to have seen menu on line.
I would not recommend the Flank Steak it was not my favorite as for the fish my wife had was great and large enough for 2 people.
I had the cucumber martini that I would recommend you to try.
We had a great time with our friends and can't wait to return but be more prepared when
Ordering because of the price.

The food at Table 28 was stellar! First time to ever have Beef Tounge and Cheek and it was amazing. The chef touched all his tables at some point in the night and that attention to detail resonated in this food quality. Must see and must dine restaurant.

Great experience, except for...
The service, presentation, creativity of the dishes, and friendliness of the owner and chef, were all outstanding. My only question is why does the food need so much salt? To my taste almost every dish was significantly over-salted, and needlessly so. The other seasonings were perfect, and not only was little if any salt needed. It actually detracted from the cuisine. Further, there is the health issue--too much salt is proven to be very unhealthy. This restaurant is in the "stroke belt" of the United States, and the chef should be attentive to the risk factors for stroke and heart disease associated with elevated sodium intake. Take the salt out, and let the diners add it at their table if they must.

Fabulous and unique
We are so fortunate to have another great restaurant in west Little Rock. We love Vesuvio and The Pantry and now we have another "favorite". The menu at Table 28 is unique and the food is prepared to perfection. The review in the Arkansas Times lead us to give it a try and we were very impressed. Love it.

Great food even better service
My wife and I dined here recently to see if it lived up to some of the reviews. We both enjoy chefs who will try different things and we were not dissappointed. The blackeyed pea hummus (provided for everyone) was different but in a good way. we had the quail lollipops as an appetizer, which could be dipped in a blue cheese fondue, the fondue was great as it was not to thick, which added flavor but was not over powering. My wife had for an entree the lamb shank which was tender as it should be (and fortunately for me there was leftover for the next day). I had the tongue and cheek, which was a rich and tender dish (think really good roast or oxtail). Service was great and they were excited to be there. Definitely will go back.

Great Date Night
Table 28 is a great choice for a night away from the kids.

Interesting menu and a staff that shows interest in the success of this restaurant. Our table had the Tongue and Cheek, rated excellent, the Lamb Shank, which was huge, but delicious, the rabbit, also well liked. It's a tad expensive for its location, a Best Western Hotel, but worth it for special occasions.

A welcome addition to WLR.
The food is very good and nicely presented. They have a great selection of small plates and salads. The salmon was wonderful and DEFINITELY save room for the sticky toffee pudding. I didn't give it 5 stars because it was extremely warm in the restaurant. We had to ask twice to have the temperature adjusted and our server happily took care of us. We noticed a few other diners fanning themselves with menus. We were told that another customer had complained of being cold. I'm certain they were finding it difficult to accommodate everybody that evening. Also, this spot is brighter and looks much cleaner since it has become Table 28. I will definitely go back.

Can't wait to go back!
We had a great experience at Table 28 - our first time there. The menu is complex and creative, driven by small plate offerings. Particularly interesting are some of the meat options that you won't see often at other restaurants. My only regret of the evening is that we did not invite some friends to go with us so that we could see and try more of the menu! We will next time!

We did the Chefs menu with wine pairings. I was a remarkable meal and part of our total went to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Each course was delightful, the wines were delightful and the service was very well done.
We will return and we will tell our friends.

I enjoyed the experience of dining at Table 28. I particularly enjoyed the Tongue in Cheek, and the wonderful wine that I had with it. I look forward to trying more dishes in the future.

What a terrific find:)
I've been away from Little Rock for some time, and finding Table 28 might convince to visit more often. Our waiter Jonathan was so personable. Their cocktail with St. Germaine was exquisite. I had the Farro dish and my mother had the scallops. Both were outside. The absolute, over the top Sticky Toffee Pudding, however, was the ultimate. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful food. Variety of
Wonderful food. Variety of entree choices- some more adventurous than others. Everything was executed perfectly! A little pricey but great for a special occassion! We had the quailbird lollipops, and they were amazing! The duck entree was perfectly cooked! The scallops and sea bass dishes were both cooked perfectly as well. We enjoyed every bite!

The menu is awesome! Very eclectic especially for the Little Rock area! The quail lollipops are to die for! Everything was delicious! The staff was just as amazing! Don't judge the location because it's in the Best Western. It's a great restaurant and we plan to go back soon!!!

on the short list
the menu is intriguing. they are experimenting with cocktails and one of my guests had the "redneck mule" and loved it. i had the tomahawk ribeye which looked like a Fred Flintstone brontosaurus rib. it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. the guests raved about the mahi, salmon, chicken, and tenderloin. from cocktails to dessert - exemplary

As our waiter said, don't let the menu scare you. A very eclectic mix of offerings all of which were delightful. Don't pass up the lollipops.

A Stellar Replacement for Vesuvio
A great new restaurant with an eclectic menu. We started with the Quail Lollipops served with a Tabasco butter. Outstanding. Mrs. GR had the Sea Bass that came lightly seasoned and loved it. She paired it with a cauliflower side which was tasty. I had the ribeye. Priced at $75, I was a little leery I wouldn't get my money's worth but, (think Flintstone's), I ate on the leftovers for two days. Very tender and tasty. I had grits as a side. They were good, but I've had better. The sides are quite large and can easily be shared, especially if you have an appetizer. The rest of the entrees were priced between $20 - 40, so it is not necessarily an expensive meal.
Service was a bit slow and inattentive but they were slammed. Perhaps overbooked.

This space once occupied by Vesuvio is now the home of Table 28. This is easily the very best restaurant we have eaten in Arkansas. Wonderful food great service by Jim. They started us with black eyed pea hummus finally black eyed peas my wife will eat. We started with the mushrooms and cheese bread it was so rich with a depth of flavor that needs to be tried to believe. Ladies try the s'more martini! My wife had the smoked pork with whiskey apples and she loved every bite. I had the surf n turf it was perfectly braised and wonderful the diver scallops were perfectly seared and cooked. Our sides we chose were the grits and Brussels sprouts wonderful accompaniments to out meal. To finish our night we had the toffee pudding it was fantastic

New Fave in Little Rock
We have found our new favorite dining spot in Little Rock for special dinners. Our food and service were fantastic. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all fantastic the night we dined and we will definitely go back.

On Dec 7 the roads in LR were icy but we found Table 28 to be serving regardless. As always, the service was great. This was our third visit. We have enjoyed different items each time. Impressively, everything we try is fantastic. So happy to have another excellent restaurant in LR.
