One of the summer specials for lunch - very fresh, but luck of the draw on what size lobster roll will be served.

I just love this place! Been
I just love this place! Been in for a quick lunch a couple of times. The D.L.T. (duck confit club), amazing with a capitol A! The dinner and bar scene is great too. It has all I want as a frequent "go outter" I appreciate the quite atmosphere of their wine room, and when I want a bar night out, I sit in the tavern, which on Saturdays has live music! A must on the menu; the scallops, citrus and spinach. perfect every time. My other favorite is the Berkshire pork chop. I don't know where to start on the craft beers and specialty drinks. I think between my wife and i, we have had all of the specialty drinks, black berry crush, crushes it!

Happy I found this place
Park Central Tavern is a gorgeous restaurant located in a lovely area of Hamden. We usually love to dine at the bar but this week we chose to sit outside. I can't believe we haven't tried the patio sooner! The food is always great and the wine list offers great choices. The mussels in a curry broth were spectacular and I accompanied my meal with one of the wines listed on their summer selection. The ambience both inside and outside is relaxing. Although the patio faces the busy Whitney Avenue, the patio area is quiet possibly due to the gorgeous plants that separate the street noise from the tables.

A wonderful meal.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Park Central. The French Onion Soup was delicious, not overly salty like so many. The entrees (pressed chicken & citrus glazed chicken) were both excellent, tastefully seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had sorbet for dessert and that was very good also... not too sweet. We will definitely return for another meal.

Great food in the suburbs
Always dependable, innovative American food without the hassle of driving into downtown. We've dined here a half-dozen times in the past two years and the meats, poultry, and seafood are fresh and done just right. Styles and sauces are inventive and top-notch. Service was high-caliber and professional. This night one of us had a scallop appetizer and perfect medium rare filet mignon with great meat flavor and cognac sauce, the other beef carpaccio and a scallop entrée with a gin/ginger/grapefruit sauce. We split an exquisite salad of heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. On other occasions we've had great drinks and desserts.
We have strongly recommend this restaurant to our friends.

PCT was a very pleasent suprise.
PCT was a very pleasent suprise. Unfamiliar with the area, we chose PCT for dinner with our son on his school's parent's weekend. Very nice building, great attentive service and delicious food. The Tuscan Style Clams appetizer was fantastic, the wife loved the beef carpaccio. For entree, I had a delicious (and very large) prime rib. If you're anywhere nearby, give the Park Central Tavern a shot, you won't be disappointed.

The Bolognese sauce with rigatoni was exceptional. I'm still thinking about it. My husband had the special which was bacon-wrapped tuna which he loved. It's a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with a big city cuisine. Definitely will make a repeat visit.

Great night for the Family!
I went out to dinner with my girlfriend and her son and we were thoroughly satisfied with Park Central Tavern. The hostess gave a warm greeting and we were immediately sat at a table in their Tavern area. Although it was early for dinner (4:45pm), the bar had a nice crowd and the staff was very attentive. Joy was our server and not only served us with professional service but engaged in conversation with us and my girlfriend's son. The chef even came out to speak to us because we had to modify their Taco Tuesday special to meet her son's needs. I had the Rohan Duck and as duck lover, it literally blew my mind!
We eat out a lot and Park Central is definitely one of our new favorites! Thanks guys!

I didn't expect much from this establishment when I walked in. The appetizers were good to excellent. My bibb lettuce and mixed beet salad was a little heavy on the beets, but good. My wife's beef tenderloin carpaccio was out of this world! Our entrees were lacked any bold flavor, but the clams in my wife's linguini with clam sauce were outstanding. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients. I never intended to order dessert, but I'm a sucker for a good strawberry shortcake and I was not disappointed. A dense biscuit was loaded with gran marnier soaked strawberries and chantilly whipped cream.

We were a party of ten, ranging from a 13 year old to an 88 year old who doesn't hear well. Everyone was happy and some enjoyed not having to choose turkey on Thanksgiving. We will return.

We all really enjoyed our meal
on Thanksgiving Day. There was a nice variety of selections; we especially enjoyed the beet salad and oyster starters. The turkey was very good-not dry or tough at all. The servings were generously-sized. The drinks were nice, especially a specialty cocktail made with a pear puree.
On the maybe-down side, the main dish offering for vegetarians just didn't sound very good, and there was only one. We were seated in the back room, which is nice enough, but has no view, except they had the football game playing on a TV the whole time! No one seemed to be watching it, and it took away from the occasion as far as I'm concerned.
