We used a Gilt City voucher and had a fantastic meal....fried mussels, beet salad, scallops, salmon & chocolate dessert were all AMAZING!

Will come back
I went for dinner on a Monday night, not too crowded but had a decent amount of people for a summer Monday in an empty city. The food was great. Apps were awesome (great wings), entrees were fantastic (I had scallops), dessert was great too (lime-coconut sorbet that even coconut haters would like). Great vibe which I imagine just about anyone could enjoy. Our waitress was super sweet, friendly and helpful. Free garage parking? Can't really find a complaint with this place! Looking forward to definitely coming back.

Great 'Authentic' Add to Harvard Sq
I've been to PARK several times before and always loved the decor and the excellent menu and drink list. Despite it not being here for ages, it's definitely trying for that 'authentic' hipster feel. It doesn't feel as forced as a lot of other restaurants in Cambridge and Somerville are ending up with as they open up. As someone who has seen authentic wear from very established restaurants with heritage in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and other random places in New York City, there's something detectably 'off' that sits in an uncanny valley of authenticity for me.
I've been to the owners' other restaurants in the area and this definitely hits the same mark as the others for classy, delicious, and awesome.

Fresh ingredients and great service
First time at PARK and everything was wonderful! Waitress was excellent, truly knew the menu inside and out and made great recommendations. Attentive but not overwhelming, perfectly balanced service. Cool but casual ambiance with a young crowd, this place emphasized the quality of their locally sourced ingredients and let the flavors of their seasonally inspired menu shine through. One of the most enjoyable restaurants I've tried lately, high marks all around. Also extensive beer and whiskey selection, as well as a creative list of house cocktails for those who are interested.

always a great evening
we were thrilled to use a gilt coupon, and ended up trying some amazing appetizers and entres. of course our favorite "tenders' choice" cocktails really made the night a hoot. we will be back, and back again, and again.

Great Service, Good Food.
Although I don'[t recall our server offering his name, he was a, tall, slim ,blonde young man who waited on us on Tuesday, July 23.
The fact that he didn't offer his name was his only error. We made several custom requests with both our food and drinks and he executed them directly. He did a great ,efficient job. The food was tasty and fresh and inventive. I had the seared scallops with an interesting array of asparagus and mushrooms and my hubby had lamb belly with lentils and fresh peas. he said that was a bit salty but he ate it all! We didn't have dessert. We would visit this restaurant again.

Don't let entry fool you
When we arrived we were worried about the choice. Kind of like walking down into a subway, but the door opened into a great pub. Food, service, drinks were all excellent. Even our 5 & 7 year olds loved it.

One of my favorites!
This is my favorite spot on the Cambridge side of the river. An ever-changing menu, delicious cocktails, awesome, personable service, and a wonderful atmosphere that ranges from bright & lively to dark & romantic.

Excellent food and cocktails
Everything we ordered was great. The cocktails are really outstanding - really interesting, well balanced, and agreeable but not too sweet. Food was delicious.
We went on a Monday night, so it was quiet, but most evenings this place has a lively but relaxed bar scene. It's a great place to get a cocktail and catch up with a friend, since it's usually not so loud that you can't hear each other.

Delicious food, lovely evening
I came to Park for dinner with a group of 3 friends - around 7:30 on a Saturday night, it was busy but not full. Our waitress was energetic and pleasant, gave us great cocktail recommendations, and was attentive enough without being overbearing - we never felt rushed. Everyone cleaned their plates - I and another friend had the chikpea-lentil burger, which was outstanding. A third friend had the porchetta, which she loved as well, and the fourth had the patty melt, which she said was just "good" - but still finished it. It was a bit dark when we first walked in, almost too dark to see the menus, but our eyes adjusted and it was really pleasant for the rest of the meal. We could hold a conversation at a normal level and had a great time!

A good find in Harvard Square
An early dinner made for a quiet ambience. Appetizers were more flavorful than mains- highly recommend the crab/lobster dip, although very rich. Duck leg had crispy skin and tender meat, wonderful small peas, but the sauce was a bit too sweet.
We had 2 pork dishes-one with kale and the other a meat pie with lots of good vegetables and not quite enough pork. Flourless chocolate cake with caramel sauce and ice cream was a treat. Our waiter was terrific-informative, helpful, offering tastes of Jack's Abby rye beer and 2 different Malbecs before we ordered. He's a gem!
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Ryan was a great waiter! He knew the menu inside out and made excellent recommendations. Our food was amazing from the starters to the drink!
8/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
I had a Gilt coupon and was excited to try this place. They use a lot of local foods/ alcohol etc... We had so much food and it was delicious. I loved that they served cheese and house made crackers instead of standard bread. Their local maple mead menu was fantastic. Just nice atmosphere overall. Comfortable and inviting. Our server was also fantastic.

Amazing on the 3rd Try
I think it definitely had to do with what we ordered. I found the restaurant to be so so the first two times we went, but the 3rd time (since my boyfriend likes it) was a charm. The lamb was succulent. I highly recommend the bacon three ways was well as the scallops, but the most memorable thing for me was the flourless chocolate cake. I don't even like sweets, but it was amazing! I still think about it. Combined with the excellent service, I couldn't ask for more. Totally over ate.

I hope Park sticks around
I prefer Park to Russell House and Grafton St (same ownership I think) nearby because the menu is comparable but it's usually less crowded. I go there every couple of months. Beer selection is very good. Complimentary bread and cheese is awesome. Menu has good variety and food is consistently well above the average Harvard Sq fare. Setvice is always friendly and attentive. Location hasn't been kind to prior restaurants but I think Park has a chance to stick around..at least I hope it does.

Great food, good atmosphere & bar!
We came here for dinner on a random Tuesday night. It is "underground" off the side of the street and has a very low key and romantic ambiance. The servers were nice and the food was good. I really liked the atmosphere most of all -- it wasn't too formal that you would have to dress up (nice denim is acceptable) but it was nice enough to bring a first date or perhaps even a coworker. We wanted to try their famous meat pie but unfortunately they had already run out for the day. We will be back for that!
8/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great food and drinks with excellent service. We had the Lobster and Crab Dip, Park Patty Melt, and Slow Roasted Brisket. I will definitely go back to try more items from the menu.
8/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Park is a nice place to go to dinner. The food and drinks are good, the service is good and the location is great. Recommend going.

Worth the trip across the river!
My friends and I ate at PARK during Restaurant Week. We all enjoyed the food and are already planning a trip back to sample regular menu staples such as the meat pie (I was advised to order early!) and the extensive beer list, among other things. The wait staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. From the super delicious cheese and toast starter that appears at your table, to helping to pick out just the right beer, we were well served. Free parking just upstairs (Sun - Wed) is a delightful bonus to a great experience at PARK!

Loved the food and the service. Really fresh ingredients and excellent results. Great service too.
8/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
We had a great server, amazing food and left with big smiles! Great location with parking available as well.

If you want a nice dinner
If you want a nice dinner make sure to reserve a spot in the back, this place gets very crowded. Also, make sure to they the bartender's choice when ordering a cocktail, Melissa will not steer you wrong!

Good Food, great service
It was the perfect location for meeting up with friends for some food and drink. Very laid back. Our server was fantastic and the service was amazing. I loved my scallops and the lobster appetizer dip. My husband got the lamb belly and thought it was a bit "fatty" for his taste (but I think that it how its supposed to be!). Overall a great place that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a laid back place to eat and drink with friends.

Go for the fried mussels!
We had delicious cocktails, wOnderful appetizers, especially the fried mussels, and great entrees. Two of us had the sea scallops which were served with asparagus and mushrooms, one had the roasted trout and fourth had the lamb belly (not my choice, but he liked it.) everyone loves their meal.
9/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
first time here, enjoyed
We enjoyed our meal at Park. The cracker and cheese for the table were great - quite a treat! We started off with crispy duck leg and enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly, presented well, and the mustard sauce was amazing. For dinner, we had scallops and trout. The scallops were a large portion but were undercooked for my liking. My fiance's trout was cooked well and he enjoyed it. Nothing really struck us as "outstanding" but we felt that the food was pretty good, the service was great, and the prices and portions were reasonable.

Why did I wait so long??
I had been to this space when it was Reline, and I'm amazed at what they've done with the place! What a great layout - big space made cozy. While waiting for friends at the bar, spoke with the bar manager who was very friendly and helpful. I love when staff is genuinely excited by the menu. Our server was also great, very accommodating. Nice cocktail offering, delicious chickpea/lentil burger. My friend ordered the meat pie of the day - I'll have to get that next time!

Second Time Even Better
After seeing "All the Way" at A.R.T. we walked over to Park, filled with thoughts about the play. We were seated in the back at a quiet table where we were able to fully discuss the play. Our server, a bit reserved at first, was perfectly attentive. We shared a delicious caesar salad unique in its offering of Toad in a Hole (thick slice of bread with a perfectly done egg). Of the house special "toasts", we particular enjoyed the brisket. The scallops with roasted mushrooms and asparagus were sweet and perfectly flavored and my husband loved the trout with corn pudding and romesco. All great combinations of melding flavors. We had an early dinner, which helped the quiet ambiance. Free parking Sun-Wed after 5. Check it out.
We'll be back!

Not too much Not too little
Went here for an anniversary dinner with the little lady. This place was great because it just the right amount of class with a splash of casual for those who don't want to wear a jacket while eating. The food was really good and the beer selection of local brews was good. I really recommend this place for someone looking for a nice place to eat that isn't too expensive but will still make your other half feel special.

Comfort food, comfortable setting
My husband and I ate here before a sporting event at Harvard. We both enjoyed interesting cocktails (his, a Giant Killer; mine, an awesome mocktail the bartender created). A cheese and crackers offering was a welcome departure from bread-and-butter, and our excellent server assured me without being asked that the cheese was pasturized and safe for pregnant me to enjoy. My husband loved his meat pie -- the special was seasonal, with slow-braised pork, butternut squash and apples. The mushy peas were under seasoned but the meat pie was tasty enough to compensate. My roasted chicken awesome. I'd return just to have the sweet potato bread pudding again. For dessert, we had an excellent trio of sorbet (cranberry, pear-vanilla, and apple cider).

Best place to eat in Cambridge
The food was awesome, service was awesome, really cool atmosphere, great prices. I give this restaurant my highest recommendation possible. We live over two hours away and will be going back to Cambridge for the sole purpose of going out to eat at PARK. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees, two sides and a desert and the bill came to just $70 including tip! Best food I have ever had.
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Picked this place for my birthday dinner with my parents. Didn't know what to expect. Ended up with a delicious meal delivered by a wonderful server. Got our order right (there were special requests for every dish) and food was served hot and tasty! Didn't love our app of toasts, but the main courses were spot on. Can't wait to return. Beautiful restaurant, tasty food, reasonable prices! What's not to love!
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
Second visit to Park and very pleased with both visits. Excellent food and very large, eclectic beer and liquor menu. Good wine as well. Reasonable prices and free garage parking Sun-Thurs.(discount pkg. other nights)-a great bonus in Harvard Square.
10/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
Repeat visit didn't disappoint
While I'd been to Park previously, my friends had not. Signature dishes exceeded expectations: the meat pie was delicious the first time and as leftovers; bacon three ways a home run; and the salted caramel ice cream a grand slam! Mark and Chris behind the provided excellent service from start to finish and likewise poured the perfect cocktail for each of us. The entire place was hopping, impressive for a random Tuesday. We all can't wait for our next visit!
10/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
Wonderful - as always
We took friends there on our most recent visit - and they're from Tallahassee, FL which I presume from their description of it is not a gourmet haven. They were blown away, perhaps because Waffle House and Applebee's are more the norm there. We thought, as usual, it was "just another great meal." The scallops, in particular, were delicious.
I think these days it's the best place to eat in the Square.

Three's a charm
We were 3 couples having an early dinner on a Monday night before going to a film festival at the Brattle. This was our 3rd visit, but our friends' first and everyone raved about the meal. We shared sweet fried mussels, and I'm not a mussels fan. The beet salad for our gluten-free friend, was delicious, the brisket toast a real winner. 2 sole mains had not a drop left after the meal and the scallops were sweet and flavorful, but the polenta a little dry, the only complaint. The squash risotto was beautifully served in the squash & proclaimed a winner. Our server was very attentive, but not overly so, the assistant not clearing before anyone had finished, something I've noticed in restaurants recently. It's well-managed and comfortable!

Excellent service and good food
The chocolate covered bacon was out of this world, and the meat pie of the day was also quite good. The restaurant really stands out on service though!
11/12/2013 4:00:00 PM
Good food and (too) good service
We arrived on time and were brought right to our table, where we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water (on the house) and then provided a lengthy wine and beer list. The waiter reco'd a good beer for me. Then he proceeded to come back EVERY TWO MINUTES. "How were your first sips?" (hadn't had one yet) "How are your apps?" "How are your first bites?" "How are your next bites?" Honestly -- if the service were reversed, I'd complain, too, but I felt like my friend and I had no time to talk. Every time we started chatting, we were interrupted. Attentive service is great, but there's a balance, I think.
Food was good.

A Decadent Night Out
I went to Park with a friend for a ladies night out. We got a cozy table by the fireplace, and while the bar was hopping, we could still hear eachother talk! This place has deliciously interesting cocktails, and I think decadent food - I had scallops with bacon and polenta which just melted in your mouth. I also love the homemade crackers and cheese to start. We went all the way through to dessert - the apple upside-down cake and ice cream fit our meal perfectly.
11/14/2013 4:00:00 PM
Superb Service, Great Food
I was super impressed with the cocktails and choice of wines. That only added to the great food selection - which was absolutely delicious. (Try the BACON 3-ways!!!) Our server was awesome, attentive and on top of things. The whole experience from hostess to dessert, exceeded my expectations. We were treated like we were special guests. Although I have been here before, it was the first time my friends dined here - we decided that night, that PARK will be on our list of places to frequent. Don't hesitate - GO THERE NOW!

Cozy setting with old Harvard charm and good food. Reasonably priced.

Both of our meals were excellent - scallops and the sole. The waiter was very attentive, plus nice. It has a cozy atmosphere.
We definitely would visit again.

Laid-Back & Delicious
My boyfriend and I were looking for someplace cozy, delicious, and resonably priced to have a nice meal out on Thanksgiving. Park more than fit the bill. I'd been there for cocktails, late-night and it was hopping. For our dinner the menu was all-American enough to fit the bill for T-giving. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were promptly seated in the living-room like dining room. Our server was spectacular, and the food was nothing short of perfection. We had the confit chicken wings to start, I tried the Bar Steak and my boyfriend had the Patty Melt. We loved everything! We also had The Giant Killer and The Captain's Mistress as cocktails and both were expertly mixed and served. 5 stars for this great new Harvard Sq. Find.

Great date-night spot!
I really enjoyed my first experience here! The portions were huge though; for 2 people, an appetizer (half of which was taken home) + (most of) 2 entrees left absolutely no room for dessert. The lobster dip appetizer was really good as all the reviews stated, however, it is REALLY filling/rich, and the pita chips seem to be baked with oil. The grilled pork chops with pecans and asparagus was great (got it mainly to try the molasses-coffee sauce); a lot juicier than I expected. The bar steak was amazing; so tender and flavorful. It came with a mountain of sweet potato wedges, greens, and a block of butter glistening on top...NOT healthy at all. Besides the greasiness and too-big portion size, taste and experience both were great.
11/29/2013 4:00:00 PM
We sat in the bar/lounge area on the stuffed leather couches which was lovely. We had a relaxing night, we weren't rushed at all to finish our dinner, I think all in all, we stayed for 3 hours. The staff was lovely, the ambiance was cozy and relaxing and the food was good. We highly recommend it!

Delicious food and drink
Park was a great place to take some friends I haven't seen in a while. We all love good food and drinks and that's what we experienced!
On top of that, the service was phenomenal. My friend had ordered a drink that wasn't really to her liking, and our server noticed without any of us saying anything. He asked if she would prefer something else because he didn't want her to have a drink she didn't like.

A cold winter's night at Park
Park was recommended to us by a trusted source who knows and understands food. The energy of Park on a Friday evening is evident as you enter - a crowded bar thrumming with conversation. Our table was in a smaller room off the bar which made conversation possible. Great décor. The crispy mussels are unforgettable, lightly battered tempura style, and a portion that must be shared. You cannot go wrong with a meat pie that changes daily (had chicken) and the lamb osso buco was delicious. The room became very noisy as the evening wore on with a large party having been seated in the room, but somehow, on a winter's night, during the holidays, it was all part of the ambiance. We hope to return.

Business Meeting - Great Dinner
We had a great time at PARK. I asked for a booth where I could talk with my business colleagues and we got exactly what I asked for. We were put in a semi-quiet part of the restaurant on a busy Friday night. Service was outstanding. Thanks PARK!
