Fantastic New Restaurant
A new restaurant in Cabbagetown, Fare Game has a wonderful menu. Started with a really nice Caesar Salad. I had the duck risotto and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend this restaurant. We then had a wonderful apple dessert and great coffee to end the meal.

This is a very cute restaurant in a very interesting neighbourhood. The food was delicious, but the portions way too big. Unfortunately, it's not very busy, so there isn't much ambience, but it has a lot of character.
They could use some help with:
1) very minor wine list, no match for the food
20 the very friendly, but somewhat amateur service.
It has a ton of potential...and real character. Nice to see in this league.

Different, in a good way
The food is different that is. The menu has a fair bit of game meat (which is why I chose this restaurant) that is cooked very well. We had ostrich and venison and the servings are sizable. If you have a small appetite, don't order an appetiser along with your main. This place offers good value for money considering they don't offer your usual fare.

Right under our noses!
This recently opened and we had no idea! This place used to be a bar and now its a wonderful neighbourhood gem that serves up wild game at very affordable prices. I had the ostrich wrapped with bacon and my partner had a duck-mushroom risotto, both were exquisite. Other reviews are correct in saying that the main dishes are very generously portioned. Nevertheless we still ordered the escargot in puff pastry and we didn't regret it one bit!

Wonderful food. intimate setting
Bison mini slider has genuine flavour, distinguishing it from beef. Calamari are tender. The ostrich entree was juicy, even though its a lean meat. The pasta arrabiata was nicely balanced with genuine but not overwhelming heat and a nice smattering of salty olives. Lastly, the lemon blueberry tart was zingy with just enough caramelized sugar on top to crunch without being a pain to hack through. Small and intimate, a nice little bar at the front, with pressed tin ceiling, is a perfect place for a glass of wine with a few friends. At the back, comfy chairs and a fireplace is something to look forward to for a romantic winter dinner. My husband and I really look forward to our next meal there

I ordered 5 appetizers and 4 were beyond compare. The lamb chop was especially surprising. Even the 5th item, the escargot en croute, was excellent, even if not done the way I might have prepared it myself. The chef came out and talked about his restaurant and couldn't have been friendlier. I finally invited three friends to join me again the second night. Perfect!
