A Drive Worth Taking
It had been several years since making the drive up to the Inn at St. Peters. I now believe that we missed a lot of great meals. Excellent, carefully prepared traditional Italian dishes bursting with flavor, served hot by friendly wait staff. Oh, and reasonable prices. The Cioppino was generous to excess, perfectly flavored and served in a substantial bowl that kept the broth hot while the many, many fresh mussels were eaten. Great Caesar salads, insanely rich chocolate cake, good coffee. We will be back soon.

We had not been to the Inn in many years since we are retired and on a fixed income and previous prices were beyond what we could afford. When our anniversary came around I checked the menu online and discovered things were now changed. We had an excellent dinner and great service and can't wait to try it again.

Great dining experience!
We dined here for our anniversary and had the best time! We sat outside and were rewarded with a great view of the French Creek and some of the other historic buildings of the village. The service was excellent but I wished the staff had known more a
about the history of the area. We'll be back!

This is the third time that we've been to the St. Peters Inn, and it hasn't disappointed at all. The menu has changed from the last time we were there which I liked. This has quickly become one of our favorite local restaurant.

Simply charming and we will definitely visit again.
The wait staff was very friendly if a little confused. Not fine dining but who cares? The atmosphere is beautiful and the drinks are wonderful.

Deep Country Italian
This is our second visit to the Inn at St. Peters in as many months and it will not be our last. The setting is especially nice in the summer, perched on a concrete deck that reminds one of Wright's Falling Waters, the creek below blends nicely with the diner's conversations. The food is excellent "straight" Italian. No fancy interpretations, just very good preparation of fine raw materials served generously. A salmon filet was judged "perfect" by a picky diner. Capellini with lump crab meat must have been lavished with 4 oz of perfectly tossed nuggets in a butter garlic sauce that was light and satisfying. Killer chocolate cake was not terribly Italian, but it sure was good. Service was friendly and uneven.

fabulous father's day brunch
Last year we enjoyed a Father's Day Buffet Brunch at St. Pet'er's Inn and we were looking forward to a repeat performance. Although the Inn did not have the buffet brunch this year, we were not disappointed. The brunch special, steak and eggs benedict with crab and perfectly seasoned home fries was devine. We finished the meal with coffee and 3 different desserts that satisfied the sweet tooth. The outdoor patio by the creek adds charm and a wonderful dining experience.
Our family has been dining at St. Peter's Inn off and on for over 30 years and I am glad to see it thriving once again. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food, the service, just everything! We went to brunch and everything we had was cooked to perfection. The servers were pleasant and attentive. We will certainly go back!

Excellent food and location!
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was - very nicely done. Of course, its a great setting but didn't realize the quality of the fare would be exceptional. My tuna was perfectly done. And its not easy to get tuna right!

We had an excellent outside
We had an excellent outside table and the overall experience was great. I liked the new menu, much better than the previous one which was mainly French.

Outdoor dining at its best!
We love coming here, lunch or dinner, hanging out on the deck which overlooks gorgeous French Creek. Often there is live entertainment, it's just plain fun!
The food is very good, I had the salad with shrimp and crabmeat with a lemon viniagrette. Husband had Lobster tail stuffed with crabmeat. Daughter had petite filet mignon. Clean plate club all around!
Dessert - New York Cheesecake - simple and delicious!
It's located in St. Peter's Village, which is trying to make a comeback. Still a lot of empty shops, but the Bakery is doing well, there's also a place to get ice cream, a gift shop (with a yoga studio in the back) and maybe the arcade is still there. There is lots of hiking and kids love climbing all over the big rocks in the creek.

Enroute to hiking, the staff gladly accommodated our dogs with a table near the sidewalk. There happened to be a rather good musical duo performing, and we learned there is llive music every Sat & Sun from 2-7, which is kind of a neat time of day to have music, and it was an unexpected bonus to the totally delicious meal we had. We ordered gnocchi and a special pizza, Jambalaya, featuring spicy chicken, shrimp, spicy sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese, really amazing, and the crispy crusts were great for dipping in the remnants of rosé sauce from the big, fluffy, homemade gnocchi; the best gnocchi I personally have ever had! We left with the biggest smiles. Can't wait to come back!

Great view, food, and service!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our salmon with dill sauce dinners overlooking the creek and woods. The red skinned mashed potatoes and asparagus that came with it were also delicious. The service was outstanding. We chose to eat outside on the inn's beautiful patio because the weather that evening was so perfect, but I later saw the indoor dining room which was cozy and elegant and would have been a nice choice too.

First time there and we forgot
First time there and we forgot our jackets. It was a cool night so we ate inside but the deck looked really nice and it was packed.
Overall the menu had a very nice selection and the prices weren't bad either. We both ended up getting a pasta dish and both were excellent. I can definitely see going back there soon.

Went back after a long absence
We were looking to take a ride on a gorgeous day then stop at a nice place for a late lunch. Made a 3 PM reservation. To be honest, we hesitated at booking at the Inn, since our last experience there we felt was overpriced, with poor service. It is a beautiful building, in historic St Peter's village , so we decided to give them another chance.. They have changed Chef's,and judging by the new attitude and exceptional service, probably under new ownership as well. My wife has a dietary restriction, and the chef altered a Salmon special for her. The dish was awesome, so was my Gnocci Rosa, from his Grandmother's recipe. The Chef came out to make sure my wife was happy. He is a great guy, and awesome Chef. We will be returning very soon.

Went to a wedding without an invite
Menu limited, Food very good, bread service outstanding, pricey for portion size, service excellent. Noise level from wedding downstairs unacceptable.

My wife and I decided to return to St. Peter's Village after an absence of nearly two decades. We were pleasantly surprised with some wonderful weather, and opted to dine outdoors on the Inn's back deck overlooking the monolithic rubble falls of French Creek. Our server was a (slightly distracted) young man, who was initially very attentive. Our meals were delicious, generously portioned, and our drinks very satisfying. Our only complaint was waiting an inordinate period of time for a second glass of wine my wife ordered near the end of our meal. It turned out to be a problem with stemware at the bar, so, all is forgiven. We will return when the nice weather reappears next spring.

Autumn Dinner on the Deck
Host and wait staff were very attentive an friendly. The deck view of the wooded stream was eye-appealing. The sound of water rushing through the large boulders was more pleasant than the music (music wasn't bad, I just liked the stream sound). Soup of the day was great. I cook at home, but my soups aren't this good! My wife had the twin filet mignon, which had bernaise sauce on one filet, and bordelaise sauce on the other. It was exquisite. I almost ordered it, but the catch of the day was too tempting. It was a wonderful crab, shrimp and a whole lobster tail on a bed of linguini with a delicious white cream sauce. Good food, good price, good staff, good atmosphere.

Gracious family evening
My family gathered to celebrate an 83rd birthday. From young to old we were delighted with the choice of food, the quietness (We could hear one another!) and the service. The waiter watched but did not intrude. He was pleasant and helpful.
Now when my husband and I think of going out for dinner, casually or formally, we will happily dine at St. Peter's Inn.
In the warmer weather, we include our autistic grandson, who loves the outdoor dining, the rocks, and the informality.

Took my wife to the inn for a weekend getaway on her 50th birthday. Booked restaurant initially for convenience purposes. It turned out to be a great choice. Informed them prior of a gluten issue and they provided suitable alternatives. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced. A good selection of wines were available. Service was sharp and the waitress knowledgeable and entertaining.Would highly recommend.

Our evening was sensational.
Our evening was sensational. we were a group of 6. We began with drinks in the bar, moved to the dining room for an outstanding meal and then stayed over . First time doing that. All lovely and I would recommend all of my evening to everyone!!
Staying over was a treat. The room was very comfortable and lovely. We had breakfast at the bakery next door, out side and it was delicious as well.
My husband and I have eaten there many many times and introduced friends and family to the location at all different seasons.

A best kept secret
I drove past this lovely place 30 years ago and made a promise to return some day - well that some day was this past weekend and I am sorry I took that long. The food is fantastic the ambience is perfect for a romantic evening and the staff was extremely attentive, fun, and professional. I cannot wait to go back! There is an outside deck which is seasonal, but the view and the sound of the babbling brook is very relaxing.

New Family Tradition
We went here for brunch last year for the first time in conjunction with getting the family Christmas tree with our daughter and her family. We decided immediately that it should become a family tradition! We returned this year and were delighted to have had a wonderful experience once again. We are looking forward to this new family tradition with our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters for many more years to come.
