A great new find
A friend of mine lives in Westchester and wanted to meet for dinner. She heard about Vivaldi opening recently. Wow, is all I can say, we thought we were just finding a midway point for both of us. But instead we found a great new restaurant. Everything was nice about Vivaldi, the service the decor and the food was out of this world. I don't normally have dessert I tried the Bambolones (not sure if thats the correct spelling) the waiter recommended. I will be craving this until I return.

Great restaurant! Michelin
Great restaurant! Michelin star aspiring dishes and excellent service. The decor was modern but elegant. The prices are fair. My entree was approximately $30. For desert, the Halva gelato was delicious. All deserts are made on site by a trained pastry chef. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to our next experience there!

Worth a trip
A new restaurant opened in a historic location. The prevbious restaurant did not last very long and with good reason. With new owners, a good chef and pleasant staff Vivaldi is certainly worth the trip.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent service.
Overpriced wine list.
Fried calamari was light and crisp, loved the fried peppers!
Tuna was delicious, salsa Verdi slightly overpowering. Pork chop wonderful.
Tiramisu, canoli, Italian cheesecake superb!
Wishing much success!

Dinner was wonderful!
Dinner was wonderful! Ambiance was lovely! Food was delicious with a few exceptions. Too much garlic in the Orecchiette with sausage & broccoli rabe, it overtook the dish. Our waiter mistakingly brought us a side of broccoli rabe that was too bitter along with a strange sour taste. Also, when asked what veg came with the filet mignon, he didn't know. Responded "mixed vegetable", then said "green stuff". Turned out to be watercress. For dessert, the cannoli was unpleasantly heavy on the orange flavor - wouldn't order it again. And biscotti were a little stale. Bombalonis were lovely - would def have those again! Overall service was pleasing. We waited noticeably longer than we should've for appetizers...but our waiter was eager to please.

My husband and I celebrated his Birthday dinner there last week. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful, they went above and beyond. our waiter even had my husband's dessert plate decorated with Happy birthday and put in a candle in it and came out singing. We had a wonderful time and everyone there made us feel so special. Looking forward to going back again!

Soon after arriving we were greeted by the very pleasant young lady and we chose to sit at the bar for a cocktail before seating. The service was outstanding and the food, while on the upper pricing range for Queens, was delicious and came nicely presented. . The sardine appetizer was a nice surprise and the wife really enjoyed them. Will return soon...

Our family had an excellent dining experience. Foods skillfully prepared, service attentive, hosts friendly and welcoming, lovely decor and surroundings. I will make Vivaldi's my current favorite. Have already recommended it to friends.

hard to find - but a good meeting spot right next to the Throgs Neck Bridge - skip Manhattan on those gridlock days and meet here for lunch.

new to the neighborhood
there are two rooms, one great for larger parties since the room is well lit. The other room has a bar and a more intimate feel.
the food was elegantly prepared' there were enough options yet the choices were not the same tired offerings that you see on every italian restaurant men./
The service was exceptional

Vivaldi is doing it right.
Vivaldi is doing it right. The dinning room is open, modern and gorgeous. The service was very attentive. I highly recommend the grilled octopus, tuna tartar, truffle parmesan fries, roasted brussel sprouts with honey, monkfish and the grilled lamb chops and for dessert - bombalonis. And if you like single malts, they have an extensive list.

After many transitions over the past few years,I think we again have a winner. I was there for restaurant week and they provided a very nice menu. The service was efficient and professional.

I already reviewed this restaurant;
I already reviewed this restaurant; however, this time the service was not as good and the noise level was LOUD. The food was great and everyone was pleasant -- a little too much hovering.......

It was my birthday and the
It was my birthday and the first time in returning to this restaurant since it was Cafe on the Green. The food was nice but, the pre-fixed menu for $28 is GREAT which for the first time, that is really the best way to go! However, there was too many candied walnuts in the wedge salad, the seared sea bass was made well but the additions of the BIG lima beans where not good, they were hard and did nothing for the presentation or the taste either. I had to order mashed potatoes that were a little bland. Other than that, I am going to be returning to try their brunch and lunch before I can really make a final assessment on the the food.

Is No. 5 the charm?
So this is the fifth restaurant to occupy this space in the past 20 years. I think finally they got it right with both the food and the service. Dined here last night during Restaurant Week. I give the ladies room an A which equals a clean kitchen. Bread was fresh, another big draw. A good meal usually follows good bread, it shows the owners care. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Appetizers of fried artichokes and wedge salad were very tasty. Snapper and short ribs were also both delish. Split the hazelnut chocolate dessert and brought the cheesecake home. The hostess is my new BFF and was very friendly and accommodating. George our server was knowledgeable and very professional. Would like to try Sunday brunch next.

Gracious Dining by the Bay
Overlooking Little Neck Bay and the Throg's Neck Bridge is a gem of a new restaurant that took over the space that was occupied by Caffé on the Green for many years, then by the short-lived Valentino's. The interior was newly renovated, tasteful and understated, but what impressed us is the warm welcome of the staff, both the maitre de and waiter, George. It was early with only a couple of tables occupied, and the hostess brought us to a small table for two smack in the middle of the room. The maitre de immediately came over before we were even seated to offer us a table on the side, very sensitive to a feeling that we might feel uncomfortable seated in the middle of an almost empty room. The food was excellent so we will be back!

We tried Vivaldi during Restaurant
We tried Vivaldi during Restaurant Week and were pleasantly surprised to see that the menu they offered was a good representation of their regular menu. The food was very good, portions were not so huge that you couldn't finish, and the service was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely go back and pick from the regular menu.

Very Nice Place
It's been a restaurant roller coaster ride at this location. Vivaldi is rolling towards the crest. The food is very good, bordering on outstanding. The calamari, raw oysters, mussels, and lobster salad are good starters. The scallops and veal milanese are excellent entrees. Don't usually have dessert, but one of my guests tried the chocolate gelato that was so smooth and delicious. Service is outstanding and very attentive w/o being intrusive. I hope others find this place because it will be a fabulous food experience.

A great new restaurant!
A beautiful, well appointed restaurant in an historic house. The rib lamb chops were done to perfection, the calamari were delicious if perhaps a bit underdone to my liking, and the Cesar salad was uniquely delicious The service was superb. We were there on a Tuesday night and there were only four tables filled but the noise level was intolerable. They were trying out music (in the other room) which may become a regular Wednesday night treat. . In such a beautiful, romantic setting more attention should have been payed to the acoustics! The fireplace room is carpeted and looks as though it might be more muted. All in all it is good to have an additional fine dining restaurant as their numbers are diminishing. We will return during the week.

We have been to this restaurant a lot since they have changed owners and have never been disappointed. Food is always excellent and service is outstanding, thanks to Scott .

Fine dining is back in Bayside
After being a regular at the old Cafe on the Green for many years, and suffering through the failed attempts to revive the excellent culinary experience at Rudolph Valentino's old mansion, I can honestly say that they have it right this time. Vivaldi is an elegant setting in Bayside, Queens, right at the foot of the Throgs Neck Bridge and the food and service was superb!
I went on a Wednesday early evening, so it was not crowded yet. Was pleasantly surprised to find half price wine Wednesdays on all bottles of wine on the menu.
The place has been re-decorated very elegantly.
The service and attention from managerial staff was first class. I can't wait to go back at a busier time to see if the level of attention is maintained. Great!

Vivaldi was wonderful! Great
Vivaldi was wonderful! Great atmosphere, charming and elegant. We were in the room with the fireplace, just lovely. Service was very good, polite and accommodating. The food was delicious and most important fresh, especially the fish which was displayed in front. We were happy to celebrate our birthdays there.

My wife and I tried out Vivaldi's after seeing so many positive reviews. We were not disappointed. The ambiance was perfect for our anniversary. The wait staff catered to our every need. The restaurant has a very classy feel, and can be an intimate setting or good for groups. We started with baked clams and buffala mozzarella. Both were very good, but the baked clams stood as the best we have ever had! My wife had a pasta dish with a lobster and I did the ribeye with Parmesan fries. Both were spectacular. The meat was cooked to perfection. For Desert we had a peanut butter based cake and the staff was nice enough to put happy anniversary on it.
We will certainly be going back!

New Owner adds a touch of Class
This was the former home of silent film star Rudolph Valentino and still conveys that old world charm. The views overlooking the Throgs Neck Bridge and Clearview Golf Course are lovely and add to the warm and welcoming dining experience provided by the new owner, whose last name also starts with a V. The restaurant has been redone in an upscale mediterranean decor. The waitstaff is very accommodating and friendly and you feel as if you are enjoying the comforts of your own home. Meals are reasonably priced and an exceptional value when compared with the menu selections and food presenations.
