A hidden gem
We were looking for a restaurant around Penn Station and found Petit Poulet. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was very good. Highly recommend checking it out!

Competent with Highlights
A competent French bistro in a touristy neighborhood. I didn't have high expectations but the cassoulet was superb. Moderately proced. I would go back if I ever find myself between Penn Station and the Empire State Building again.

Go See Sam
Le Petit Poulet is a real find in the Herald Square neighborhood.
The menu is varied and eclectic and all the seafood dishes were delicious and prepared in a very appetizing way.
If you find yourself shopping at Macy's and want to have a lovely lunch or dinner, book a table at Le Petit Poulet.
Ask for Sam as he is one of the most sincere, kind and an efficient server.

A great find for us
This is an excellent little French restaurant. We had a quick lunch and were very happy. We started with the Steak Tartar and it was a bigger potion than we expected. It was delicious. The special was brazzini. It was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The services was excellent.

Out of Towner's Delight
Found this restaurant as part of Kellari Tavern's network and thought therefore it should be good. My daughter and her friends tried it out on a visit to NYC and thought the food was very good. Took relatives from out of town who were staying nearby.Several of the dishes we wanted were no longer available at 7pm. That made me nervous about what was left to eat. However, we were very happy with the steak frites, salmon, and braised veal (the special for Thursday night). The waiter made up for the out of stock items by giving us more wine. I would definitely go back for the food, but no special expectations about ambiance. However, it is a bistro and feels like one...in a good way.

Delicious French Food in NYC
Ate here while on a business trip to Manhattan. The frisee salad was unbelievably good, and the peppered filet mignon was so tasty and tender. Unfortunately I filled up and did not save room for the creme brulee trio. Big mistake, it looked really good.
There weren't many other customers here that night, which is a real shame because the food was so good.
The waiter accidentally over-poured my champagne and then gave me a free glass. Not necessary but much appreciated.

It was a good experience overall
It was a good experience overall but we were disappointed that they don't have Sunday brunch. If you want breakfast, you'd better get there before 11 am.

The beef bourguignon that I had at Petit Poulet was one of the best things that I have eaten in a long time. The beef was so tender, and the scattering of fresh greens that were added to the top really had a nice peppery bite that added so much. My wife had crab cakes which was the fish of the day. She said that they were the best thing she ate on our trip to New York.
We also split an apple dessert was great too. It was fresh, warm, and perfectly spiced.
The staff was attentive and friendly. If I lived in NYC I would be a regular here.

Hidden gem -- amazing bistro fare!
Wow. What a surprise. After a day of midtown shopping, we were starving and determined to have a great meal, despite our location. Open Table steered us to this incredible and largely unknown find. Almost empty at 9pm on a Monday, Petit Poulet admittedly lacks in ambience. BUT -- don't be fooled! This is a real bistro without a single missed note (except for the actual lack of *notes* -- tip to the management: the right music could make all the difference). From the crusty bread, onion soup and frisée salad with lardon to the Cornish hen and melt-in-your-mouth beef bourginion to the loveliest French waiter I've had outside of Paris... It was scrumptious. We will be back. Soon. Our meal was so good, it would be worth a trip to Herald Square.

Had dinner here with a friend
Had dinner here with a friend - very quaint French bistro ambiance! It was a respite from all of the touristy stuff in the area. The service was impeccable. I had the Poulet chicken salad and my friend had the special soup and salad - we wished that we were more hungry so we could try the desserts next time! It's a great place if you're looking for a non-touristy bistro that serves more than just lunch on the run.

Delicious delightful meal
We ordered the entire roast chicken for two - the meat, roasted potatoes, and green beans were fabulous! a large meal at an excellent price and value. In this neighborhood, it was awesome to find unpretentious ambiance, reasonable menu, excellent food and outstanding service.
Can't wait to go back and bring more friends who will be surprised to find this little gem in this neighborhood.

A gem near busy Herald Square
Went here with two girlfriends last week - we often meet near Herald Square for post-work dinner or drinks before heading home because it's central for all of us. This place was a real delight from the usual places we go in that area. The food was delicious. We shared a cheese plate (the waiter recommended the best ones) which came with a delicious toasted bread. I got the cornish hen, and it was so tasty. The waitstaff was attentive and the ambiance was perfect for us. Definitely check it out if you're in the area, or even if you're not!

Improbable but rewarding
In the middle of a truly undistinguished neighborhood, 33rd bet. 5th and 6th, a wasteland for restaurants, this place feels strangely authentic. The wait staff is all French and the food is the real thing. They have also managed to create the atmosphere of a French bistro on the bottom floor of the Ramada Inn. I had the roast chicken and my friend had the burger with pommes frites and we were both impressed.
Also we could actually hear each other. A nice evening. I will go back.

Wondeful food, great bang for the b
normally I expect to pay 30 to 50% more for the quality and quantity of food which we got. I had the rotisserie chicken, a house special and it was just the most juicy tasty chicken I can remember eating in a long time. The veggies were a real surprise, so tasty,
My wife had the fish special and soup of the day. Both excellent. WE WILL BE BACK!

Fun with old friends
I recently met a few old friends for dinner at Le Petit Poulet. It was a convenient place for us all to meet, the food was very good, the service OK, and the noise level fine for conversing. We enjoyed ourselves very much and were able to sit as long as we wanted without the wait staff trying to move us out. As a matter of fact, we sat for quite a while before someone can to event take out drinks order. We all enjoyed it and would come again.

Love dining at Petit Poulet is always a wonderful experience. From the food to the service its always top-notch!

Excellent Food, Average Service
The food was great and the setting was nice and romantic, but the waiter was pretty rude. He spoke down to us like we'd never had French food before and as a self-proclaimed foodie, I would have appreciated him taking the time to discuss what we were ordering, as it wasn't that busy when we were there. For example, I know cheese. He just kept suggesting "a little brie, a little blue, a little goat". What kind of blue? Is the brie double-cream? Triple-cream? He had an attitude like the limited information was already too enlightening. Strange.
However, service in terms of filling water, order-taking speed, attentiveness, etc. was great.

Je'taime Petit Poulet!
We found this completely thanks to Open Table - and we had an EXCELLENT meal. The Chicken Puff Pastry - manifique! The fish of the day - FORMIDABLE!! ThePappardelle Pasta with the braised pork belly - Oh, mon dieu!! We had great service from our waiter, and wish that we didn't have to leave for our show the experience was that good. Can't wait to go back!

Nice and Convenient
For a restaurant associated with a hotel, Petie Poulet is a gem. Very nice menu, nice service and very well prepared food.
I met a client since it was c/close to Penn Station. IWe were both impressed and this will be my Penn Station area restaurant of choice,

France in NYC
The wine list has great choices. Loved the Sancerre served by the glass. We enjoyed our steak and frites. And the sampler crane brûlée was delightful. Great service!

Excellent French bistro tugged away in Korea town. Mains were reasonably price and you could see your meal cooked in the open kitchen.

Met with 2 relatives from the UK and were able to spend over 3 hours taking our time, eating and drinking. The waiter was attentive and there when we needed him but not intrusive to our conversation. The restaurant was not busy so this helped to let us stay for longer. The food was good and quantities were just right. The wine list is relatively small but has a great variation at reasonable prices.

A good choice
Going to MSG and looking for an easy place to relax, eat and go off to the show; we found all of that at this restaurant.
A simple but not expensive wine list makes for easy choices.
The menu had something for everyone.
Service was quick and attentive, but we were not rushed.
We will return!
