Wonderful wait people and bar people and the food was fresh and tasty. My scallops were not sandy and cooked to perfection.

Can't wait to go back
The food and service was excellent. My husband was ready to drive back the next day.

Go at sunset for the best ambiance
Great place, great food, great service. I suggest going at sunset... Around 830pm in late June, sooner before or after june21. At 730pm the sun is a bit annoying. FYI price is about $50 /person with drinks and desert. Enjoy!

Ou first time at Blackpoint Grill.
We truly enjoyed our first experience at Blackpoint Grill. The staff were extremely professional and knew all the details about anything you asked. Their recommendations were fantastic. We will definitely return to Blackpoint Grill when we visit that area again.

We stayed at Sea Lodge resort so it made sense to eat here one night. It has a spectacular view and the food is good but not spectacular. The prices are spectacular so the value is just okay. We are glad we went once but tried other places for dinner.

Two couples with anniversaries a week apart spent the weekend at Sea Ranch and the Black Point Grill was our choice venue for continuing the celebration. The setting cannot be beat; the service was as spectacular as the view and the staff went beyond the ordinary to set up a table festooned with ribbons and then welcomed us with a champagne toast. We wined and dined long into the evening and watched the moon make its trip across the evening sky. Highly recommend the Black Point Grill.

Black Point Grill
Had dinner on Monday night. Unfortunately they were out of my first choice (Scallops) and what would have been my second choice (Sole). I was hoping for seafood but settled for a salad and a burger. Turns out the salad was excellent and the burger was very very good. Also had breakfast the next morning which was very good. Service was very good. All things considered, pretty darned good!

We were very pleased with our two dinners at the Black Point Grill. Since we were something of a captive audience while staying at the Sea Ranch Lodge, we weren't sure what the food would be like. To our pleasant surprise, it really was pretty good. Service was very attentive and the food was inventive and very tasty. My wife would rate her food - she had scallops one night and fish the next as excellent- I had meat both nights which was very good, so this could really be a 4 1/2 star rating. The rule of thumb for restaurants with scenic views is sometimes the better the view, the worse the food, however in this case it did not hold true. We would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone staying in the area.

Will Come Back...
Stayed at the Sea Ranch Lodge and had dinner at the Black Point. Excellent in all aspects--...plus the view! Also, enjoyed the complimentary, abundant breakfast, which was also one of the best, most enjoyable breakfasts we've enjoyed in a long time. BTW ==> Had to change reservation time for dinner, and staff was 100% accommodating. Thank you!

Nice evening spot
We enjoyed the casual but nice setting and of course the view was spectacular. The food was well prepared and better than we expected since this is the only decent restaurant around for 50 miles. We sat at the back of the restaurant and had to deal with lots of kitchen noise, but otherwise it was a great experience.

Black Point Grill ins't exactly
Black Point Grill ins't exactly in a "neighborhood"--Sea Ranch is a sprawling n. California community--but the restaurant is an excellent one in any context. It overlooks the ocean and bluffs, beautiful especially at dinner-time as the sun drops toward the Pacific... The room itself is fine; the food very good indeed (there's tavern-style food, but also "contemporary American"), imaginative and well prepared; the service is orderly and attentive and well-coordinated and pleasant. By northern California standards, not so expensive. Cheerfully recommended.

Classic View Restaurant gets Better
I have to admit it had been several years since we had dinner at this restaurant. The view has always been spectacular, but the food was just mediocre. Times have definitely changed. Food was well prepared, hot, and just plain great! They have a combination tavern and dinner menu that will appeal to different budgets. I had a pork chop while my son opted for the fish and chips off the tavern menu. The soup of the day was a non-creamy tomato soup which was delicious. My wife and I split a great crab cake appetizer and she had a wonderful petrale sole dish. Restaurant was full for a Friday night which tells me that people have found this spot again - a little more buzz in the restaurant made it more fun. Highly recommend for any budget.

What a great place to eat great food, drink fantastic local wines and watch the skies for the appearance of celestial bodies, and even the space station! And the waitress knew Venus and Spica on top of that! Lovely.

Dinner by the Sea
We enjoyed our celebratory meal at Black Point Lodge. Our party included a 6 year old, very content with her penne pasta. Our server was attentive. The short ribs and .scallops were good, and the polenta croutons were a huge hit .
