OPA is a lovely and lively addition to the Oak Brook Dining Scene. The Owner was very friendly and generous, our waitress was excellent and the food exceptional. I look forward to going back and trying more items on the menu.........

Delicious, run to this restaurant!
We used to go to Opa before it moved. We were skeptical since the move, not on the lake, more subdued location. No need for concern, FANTASTIC! We were greeted warmly and quickly. Our server, Nikos was so wonderful we want take him with us. The food is fresh, delicious and creative. I didn't think it was possible for the grilled octopus to get better but it did, tender and juicy , charred perfectly. The Georges family knows how to run an amazing restaurant.

Our new goto for Greek food
We had a B-day celebration dinner last Sunday for my husband, we ordered baked feta, grilled calamari, lamb chops, 2 combination plates, gyro & chicken (half breat on the bone, gyros & skirt steak and a greek salad. All the food was flavorful and more than enough. Our waiter selected an excellent bottle of wine. The table oilve oil was very nice, I will be looking to purchase it for my home. We will be back to try your catch of the day. Thanks for a great meal.

We love Opa when it was In
We love Opa when it was In Vernon Hills and we love it in Oakbrook Terrace. We were greeted as if we were old family friends. The decor is great and everything is new. The service is outstanding and the food was excellent as it has always been.
It is a long drive for us now but we will be back shortly for my daughters birthday.

Visited Opa! for the first time for a birthday lunch. The decor is very clean and airy while still being warm and inviting and quite beautiful. The staff was friendly and well informed and the three of us agreed that our food was delicious. Unfortunately, although we were there at Noon on a Friday, there were only a few other full tables. Since they haven't been opened but a couple of months, hopefully this will change when the local residents and workers spread the word. Opa is definately worth a visit even if you don't live or work in the area. Lovely atmosphere, nice people and great Greek food.

Opa Estiatorio is a worthy successor to the old Costa's which closed here last year. The remodeled Opa is a more modernized looking restaurant. Most importantly the food is very good. I easily recommend Opa over the suburban Greek Island location. While GI also has very good food, it lacks the better service and ambience of Opa.

Everyone we met were personable and wanted to make our experience enjoyable. We started with Saganaki of course along with a large order of grilled Octopus, and Zuchhini chips. Dinners were: stuffed Salmon, Lamb Yuvetsi, Stuffed Chicken, combo plate Dolmades Avgolemono, Spanakopita, and Gyros, and a combo of a combo of thin cut Lamb Chops and Roast Loin Lamb. We all exchanged but if you like Lamb the lamb chops and roast loin are the way to go. With the exception of this last dish and my Lamb Yuvetsi all took left overs home. Portions were very good size.
Dinner very reasonable at around $20 - $27 per person. Great atmosphere and service. Don't miss this one.

Great Food, Great Service
I loved the atmosphere of this place - classy but relaxed. The food was fantastic. Our group had a variety of appetizers, with two large greek salads and dessert. The serving sizes were large enough to share so that everyone got some. The food was excellent. I especially liked the fried zucchini with skordalia and charbroiled octopus - both were exquisite.

Best authentic Greek Food
We were so excited to hear that Opa opened in Oakbrook as we had been frequent diners of their previous location in Vernon Hills. This family takes pride in cooking real authentic Greek Food using top quality ingredients, no substitutions. I don't know where to start...their hand cut fries, the fresh grilled fish, the perfectly grilled juicy lamb chops, the tender octopus, it was all delicious! They offer a kids menu with crayons which was also great for us to keep the kids busy. There is a full bar and the ambience is great for a romantic dinner, business lunch or family gathering. The food will not disappoint!

A Greek Gem In The Suburbs!
Opa! is a Greek gem located in Oakbrook Terrace (on Summit just south of Roosevelt Rd). John Georges has transformed the old Costa's restaurant with a welcome freshness & vibrancy of stark white, Greek blue & clean hardwood floors. The family legacy is presented in a gallery of treasured photographs. The ambience is open, airy & charming. The food - amazing! I have eaten there 3 times and each was a wonderful experience. The service is impeccable and the waitstaff are knowledgeable & eager to help you with dining & wine choices. From appetizers to the amazing Mediterranean Sea Bass and all the traditional Greek fare you will have a hard time deciding what to have. For desert I recommend the Greek yogurt with Greek honey and walnuts! Opa!

Food is very good, especially
Food is very good, especially the whole lavraki (mediterranean sea bass). Two outstanding servers in Mladen and Eva. Be sure to ask for one of them. The ambience is good, but despite the new owners having spent a huge sum to renovate the old Costas dining room we much preferred the previous decor. But it is nice anyway.

Great New Restaurant
The food, service, atmosphere will have us returning many times. Great new restaurant in our neighborhood. Very good Greek food.

We were visiting the area and found this restaurant on Open Table. It apparently is fairly new. We had a great experience - the food, ambience and service all were outstanding. The restaurant wasn't very busy on a Friday night, so we hope more people discover this treasure. We will return the next time we're in the area.

Food was very close to what we know from our 3 years in Greece. Service was polite and kept in good pace. Management seems to favor interaction with the Greek population. Might want to say Hi to your other clientele as well.

Go for the Greek
Very good Greek food. The wait staff was super. Everything was done at the right time without hovering over us. The only negative was I wanted to hear the Greek music that some of the restaurants play. It would have given a little more ambience. We went to this restaurant because it was in our neighborhood. I think the food at the Parthenon is a tad better and they play the traditional Greek music.

The Mediterranean Sea Bass
The Mediterranean Sea Bass was the special of the night and judging from the amount of filleting going on, the choice of many diners. It was delicious. Several of us ordered the combination plates. Combination plates give you at least two "small" entree choices. I ended up taking half of my dinner home -- small is relative. The pork souvlaki was tender and juicy -- probably the best I've had at any Greek restaurant. The service was attentive; food delivered hot from kitchen. They work very hard to give you a great dining experience. Definitely a place to try if you haven't already. We're looking forward to celebrating Greek Easter there come spring.
