Le Zinc was a good find
We enjoyed everything about our visit to Le Zinc. Parking was very challenging so leave in time to find a spot. Our 'Small Plate' was very small but our main dishes were generous and delicious. We will definitely be back.I'm not certain why no Open Table points are awarded here

Great food and a great price
This is a casual French gastro-pub. It's only been open for two weeks but it feels and tastes like a long established restaurant. We went for dinner and all of us had a great time. We had the chicken, pork belly, and mussels. Every part of each meal was wonderful but the mussels were a bargain. You are served enough to feel full and have plenty to share. The deserts were decadent but fairly light, a good combination. For French food it seems healthy. The food was light and used butter sparingly. The service was perfect, not hovering but always there when you wanted something, and always very friendly. If we didn't live in Woodinville we would eat here all the time.

J'aime Le Zinc
Great happy hour, delicious cocktail from the expert bartender, excellent food, lovely service and surroundings. I'll be back.

Great place, will be back
I was very happy with the incredible service I received here. My steak was a little undercooked for Medium Rare, but as a whole the place was energetic, not overpriced for what you get, and I have to reiterate how good the service was. I can't wait to go back.

Great food / Special Attention
Loved this place and the wait staff and management was so thoughtful. Our friends had mentioned that we had just gotten married. The manager personally thanked us for spending our evening with them and provided champagne. It was a great night with great food. We will be back!!.

A great new find!
We were looking for a French restaurant to celebrate Bastille Day and Le Zinc came up on the list. We were so pleased with the food, the service - attentive without being overbearing - the nice wine list, and the atmosphere. It had an intimate feel, great for a romantic dinner, but I can see it as our next happy hour recommendation as well. We are definitely going back!

The Real Deal
We've eaten in a lot of French restaurants, in France and the US. Le Zinc is as good as ANY! The food was delicious, the service exceptionally accommodating and prices quite good. And they serve Absinthe! By all means, go!

Mussels were amazing!
Went there for happy hour on Saturday, and was thrilled to get a table easily. The mussels were outstanding - plump and delectable. We tried a couple of the specialty cocktails as well, and they were fabulous. Will definitely go often!

Loved this place. Food, service
Loved this place. Food, service and atmosphere were fantastic.

We stayed at B&B where the owner raved about your food. I am happy to report that it not only met my expectations from what he said, but exceeded them
Superb service too. I firmly believe that no matter how good the food is, the Front of House is as important as the food itself. Le Zinc has merged the best of FoH & BoH to provide seamless service. Excellent teamwork. And great dessert wine list!
It's so good I want to keep it a secret! But it's so good that I hope all of you try it too,

Wonderful Evening at Le Zinc
This was our first time at LeZinc. Food was excellent! Made for a great evening out to celebrate my husband's birthday with friends. We'll definitely be back.

Enjoy a long conversation
With a lot of the old school French restaurants shutting down (owners seem to be retiring), it seems that options are fairly limited in Seattle. We went to Zinc based on a recommendation from a friend to celebrate our16th wedding anniversary - our annual tradition was always French as it gave my wife and I time to slow down and enjoy a nice long conversation over a great meal. The escargots were pretty good but the cuisses de greno (frog legs) were very very tasty. We shared a seabass (daily special) which came whole and if you don't mind picking thru, highly recommended. We finished with a pot of mussels with roasted garlic and maitake mushrooms. The sauce, fresh bread and wine paired really well, too. Reasonable pricing, too.

Great new French bistro
Le Zinc was an excellent choice. The service was friendly and efficient. The chicken, mussels and steak were all very tasty and very reasonably priced. The desserts were a big hit and we had a dry French rose that was the perfect match. You get the feeling this could be in Paris. I recommend Le Zinc highly.
8/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
Service was attentive but not intrusive. The carrot salad was excellent. Branzino was just average. Mussels were excellent but fries were a bit limp....I like crispy but they were still very good. Dessert was scrumptious. Bar scene looked interesting but we ate in the restaurant which is very French with cozy tables. Definitely recommend.
8/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Our server was so curteous and knowledgeable. This is a refreshing unstuffy french restaurant that needs more attention from food lovers. Our favourite was the Pommes Frites & Foie: fries with foie gras. It's a decadent and brilliant combination. This appetizer alone is worth a visit or a heart-attack ;)

Great Food...Great Service
Our waitress recommended a wonderful wine and guided us to delicious dinner (and dessert) selections. Great evening!

French bistro gets it right
Ever since they started charging for parking until 8 PM in downtown Seattle, I've avoided the area. Which meant saying goodbye to some of our favorite French restaurants. But now we have a new favorite, just off the dining mecca of 12th Avenue on Capitol Hill. The food, the service and the ambiance surpassed our expectations. Would we go back to Le Zinc? Oui, in a minute.

We had a superb vegetarian
We had a superb vegetarian meal (just because it sounded good). Service was excellent--mature and thoughtful. We'll be back.

Stunning food, pricey, soso service
Each meal was absolutely excellent, creative and well prepared. But very pricey given they are advertised as a gastropub. The service was lukewarm: we wanted to move our reservation to an hour later. They didn't accommodate that - even when we saw several large empty tables during those hours when we took at the original time. Also, one of us asked if fries can be swapped for a side salad - to which they said no (not ok at their price range). But like I said, the food quality made up for everything.
9/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
Delightful new gastropub!! We got there in time to partake in their happy hour specials. The Choux Fleur with the lamb pancetta was delectable. I had their grilled double pork chop which was succulent. The spices grilled in added flavor to the moist generous portion. The sweet potato gratin & rainbow chard complimented my entree. My wife had the half chicken which was equally succulent and laid out over a bed of potatoes. The craftsman bar tender, Andy, made a custom nonalcoholic beverage my wife to her delight.
Thank you we will be back next trip!
9/5/2013 5:00:00 PM
Good selection of small plates
Special call out to your bartender Chris - he handled with aplomb and creativity my friends' requests to whip up something for them that was off-menu. We had the mussels, roast chicken, spinach salad with pork belly, the foie gras added on to the spinach salad and the cauliflower. The spinach salad was boring but everything else did not disappoint. One deficiency was the dessert menu, or lack thereof - nothing really sounded exciting so we passed on dessert. The wine menu is limited as well but on Chris' recommendation we ended up with a sprightly and acidic white that was perfect.

Awesome service and food
We went in a large group and never felt like an imposition. Our food was timely, the service was impeccable, the ambiance was great. The cuisine was delicious and current. The muscles were delicious. We were treated like we were the only table in the house. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Great Traditional French Food
It's the Le Pichet of cap Hill, with better bar (great drinks), service and décor. So far two out of two great experience. I am definitely coming back!

Favorite new Seattle spot!
My partner and I have started to frequent Le Zinc almost weekly. Paris, the head waiter, is first rate, funny, not imposing, and just an all around gem. He is matched by the quality of the food being served. I think I've eaten almost everything on the menu, and I've not been disappointed yet! Highly recommend. Oh, and the price point is very reasonable, and the portion size is not too small; not too large.
9/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
I came here for my birthday and got the long table in the back, which was perfect! Service was great! Food was soooo good! I love that everyone around me were saying how their plate was so good you need to take a bite. We are all coming back for sure as this was our first time here.
9/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
It was a great dining experience
Fresh food, well-done takes on classic dishes, and some classic dishes as well. We were most impressed with the fresh ingredients. Everything was delicious.

Neighborhood Gem/Vibrant Bar
We frequent Capitol Hill restaurants and we stumbled upon this Gem of a Restaurant. "Le Zinc" . The décor is tastefully done. The dining area is romantic and vibrant. We were greeted promptly and seated. We didn’t feel pressured to order (so they could turn over the table). Instead we were able to have a aperitif and order at our leisure….the signature cocktails were delicious, we both had the Bone Marrow with a baquette. My main course was Moules au Fenouil, délicieux!
If you’re looking for something different in Seattle not your run of the meal neighborhood restaurant then look no further…we’re sold on this place and can’t wait to show it off to our friends over a cocktail with great conversation and exceptional meal.

a great discovery
I've now had two meals at Le Zinc, and it's a great addition to the Seattle dining scene. It's an attractive room. Service by both maître d' Parris Broderick and Tina K.. who was my server both times, has been both charming and knowledgeable (excellent wine recommendations!). And practically everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfect. A chicken liver mousse to die for; superb crispy pork belly with roasted brussels sprouts; the best duck confit I've had in ages; the best escargots my wife says she's ever had; wonderful moules frites; the only minor disappointment was when I ordered the special steak frites charred rare - it came not really charred, but it was perfectly rare, a fine piece of meat, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
10/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
We went here while on vacation in Seattle and it happened to be restaurant week. We both did the prix fixe 3 course dinner. The food was fantastic (pork belly with brussel sprouts, mussels with frites YUM) and the wine selection was impressive. Our server was very nice and attentive. We started off the meal with the bread and butter(delicious!) but I was a little disappointed that my third course cheese plate didn't come with any bread or crackers, and when I asked for some we were brought another plate of the bread and butter and were charged for it (only $3 but after buying 2 bottles of wine and 2 three course meals you'd think they could spare a little bread free of charge). But overall a great restaurant, great food, great wine.
10/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
The moules are great, as is the service. My only criticism is that my haricot vert salade was cold, clearly pre-prepared and chilled.
10/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
oh la la french
Scrumptious food, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We had a wonderful dinner and will be back to try more things on their delicious menu

Great Dining Experience
Loved our recent dinner at this fun and charming restaurant. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation and had a drink at the bar. The bartenders were very helpful and suggested different drink options. We were seated at our table on time and had a lovely dinner. The foie gras and pork belly appetizers were excellent. Loved the mussels and frites as a main course. The service was fantastic and attentive. We'll be back again!

Not your usual pretentious
Not your usual pretentious French restaurant-the staff was extremely generous with information about the food, wine, and liquor. The food was excellently prepared and the prices were in line with the fare. Great experience. We're looking forward to coming back.
10/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
Brought a group of 10 in
We had a great experience, although the table before lingered a bit so we had to wait in the bar for about 25 minutes. Once seated, we were very well taken care of, the food all came out in good time and to everyone's liking. It was a great first impression, and I look forward to future visits!
10/20/2013 5:00:00 PM
Very attentive service began our experience. We arrived rather frazzled after work but were soon lured into a relaxing but most attentive dinner, I especially appreciated that we were offered the happy hour menu at our table--a rarity, so we availed ourselves of a drink and appetizer prior to ordering from another menu. Cocktails were imaginatively French oriented (mine made with Lillet) . Mussels are the star here and served three ways.and our Provencials were delicious . Pate was a creamy cloud of perfection. My creme Brullet featured a delicious maple glaze but my dining partner adored the chocolate pot de creme . Le Zinc promises to lure me back--next time, frites!
10/21/2013 5:00:00 PM
Cozy, dark, delicious!
Since it is located on a hill, most of the seating at Le Zinc is in a recessed area several steps down from the entrance. This gives it a very private, cozy atmosphere that was very comfortable. The staff were all attentive and polite, and the food was brought at a good pace. My friend and I did the Seattle Restaurant Week menu and I was astounded at the huge cauldron of mussels I was served--typically my experience is that the restaurants give smaller portions for the SRW menu. I actually couldn't finish the entire serving--well, I wanted to save room for dessert and I'm glad I did! The chocolate pot de crème was lightly spiced with cardamom on top of the whipped cream and the chocolate was rich and wonderful.

Fabulous French Cuisine
This is our third time now to Le Zinc...It is a Fabulous restaurant with great atmosphere, service, French Cuisine, and a great wine selection too...I have traveled all over France and I will tell you the food at Le Zinc reminds me very much of Paris and a fabulous Parisian Bistro...
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
It was all great!
It is rare to find a restaurant that gets it all right- from the service to the cocktails to the food, but our dinner at Le Zinc really nailed it all. The service is personable, with our server Parris, leading the charge. I had the special Beef Cheeks, which were delicious, and my husband had the Coq au vin, which was also amazing. Don's forget the frites! Even the noise level was just right- loud enough to give energy, but we could still chat without having to raise our voices. We will definitely come back.

Great New Hot Spot
We went to Le Zinc a few weeks ago with local friends and loved it so much we went back this past weekend when family visited from out of town.
Twice in row we have had the absolute best duck we've ever had. The chicken is equally as incredible. Start with the escargot! My mussels (in the crème) were awesome the first time, but this time were just mediocre and I think that's my fault. The dish (the chorizo and tomato) was delicious but the mussels (I think) are in a funky season, and didn't taste as sweet or as tender as they typically do. This is definitely not a knock against the restaurant and we will absolutely return for the other entrees.
And don't forget, the house champagne is only $25/bottle - and tastes perfect with dinner!

The mussels and coq a vin
The mussels and coq a vin (sp?)were outstanding , surprised at how reasonable the prices were for such great food. a pleasurable dinning experience, we will be back .....

Outstanding Moules frites...
Nice new find. We enjoyed the attention to detail - all the way down to the french cutlery. Outstanding service. We will be returning.

New favorite place..
From the moment we walked in we felt a seamless sense of graciousness on every level. The service was spot on. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with pairing without upselling without being imposing. We were amazed that the acoustics allowed us to hear one another with a full bustling restaurant. This is an urban french restaurant that will not disappoint. We were a party of 4. Each of us ordered a different dish and were incredibly pleased. Every bite was an explosion of flavors.
We al left feeling incredibly pleased on every level. We will definitely return!

Every person in my party, 4, loved the food. The appetizers were amazing, the cocktails, and the main courses. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

A dinning experience
Service was "deliberate" but after the first cocktail arrived no one really cared.
Food was quite good. Everyone very happy with their food choices. Mussels excellent. Pork Belly and Beans dish was outstanding! In English the dish sounds quite humble but it is really really a treat. Overall the prices were quite reasonable. Price to Value comparison: Excellent. Certainly was a good place for six old friends to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Recommend it for adults.
