The Food was delicious and greasy; really hits the spot. would not suggest it for a first date however for the noise was a little too much for conversation.

Great Beer Week Dinner!!!
A group of us were visiting for Philadelphia Beer Week. Devil's Alley was featuring a 3 course dinner for $35 as part of Beer Week. It was delicious food and a good value. The appetizer, entree and dessert were prepared using different beers and came with a serving of that beer. There were 3 choices within each course and everyone was delighted with what they ordered. The chef had creative menu options that were well prepared. The only negative on the evening was the noise level-it was VERY loud. We had trouble talking to each other but it was a fun place in Center City Philadelphia on a Friday night. What do you expect?

My friends and I had a great brunch with so many appealing choices it was hard to decide what to have. Try a Manmosa ... like a mimosa made with a wheat beer ... quite tasty.

Great St. Louis ribs!
My second time dining at Devil's Alley was a great experience. Went with my dad and my fiancée around 7pm on a Monday, so it wasn't very crowded. Our waitress was great and very quick to get us anything we needed. For the price, the portions are very generous! I ordered the full rack of ribs with the bbq sauce as did my father, and we were both impressed with how tasty the sauce was and how massively meaty each rib was... I had 4 ribs left over and was stuffed. They have an awesome selection of sides;it was difficult to choose only two. If you are in the Rittenhouse area and craving some good bbq, particularly ribs, give this place a try!

A true gem of a restaraunt
You would expect for a center city restaurant to be expensive but not this place. We went for brunch and got more than what we expected. The waiter/bartender was nice... and very handsome (which was a plus!) The brunch crowd is almost non-existent, which surprised me. I ordered the shrimp and grits. My sister ordered the breakfast quesadilla's. Everything was delish and the portions were large. If you like soul food, country cooking, barbque etc. then this place is a must visit! They do not care about caolories here so if you are conscious about that, I'm not sure what you could eat from the menu!

great night out
My sisters and I had attend an event downtown, and decide since it was restaurant week in center city Philadelphia, that we would take advantage of the offer and have dinner while we were in town. After researching the restaurant that were offering this deal on a Saturday, we decide that the Devil’s Alley menu had something that we all could agree on. Thankfully we were not disappointed; they offer a four course meal, which was outstanding, I can truly say that the next time we decide to have dinner in center city, we will definitely consider the Devil’s Alley, we had a great time.

Perfect place going away lunch
The food was delicious and more than enough to leave us stuffed and ready to take an afternoon nap. The waiter was wonderful and the wait for our food was about average. Overall, I love this restaurant which is why I am having my happy hour for my last day at my job there. KUDOS!!!

Great for brunch
We went for Sunday Bruch and the food was great! The shrimp and Grits was to die for. Best I've tasted north of the Mason-Dixon Line. We are definitely going back for more.

Met a friend for brunch and we were looking for a spot that had a bar....Devil's Alley filled the bill (or should I say glass?) We loved the cocktails we ordered- the chipotle bloody mary and the rise and shine! Brunch was delicious. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the pancake sandwich and my squash bread french toast was perfect. Will be back!

Great spot for casual dining
My mom visited for the weekend and I wanted to take her to a unique spot in the city that wasn't too pricey. This was the perfect place! We had a reservation so we were seated right away but I don't think a reservation was necessary even on a busy Saturday night (with the exception of large groups). Even though our waitress was extremely busy, the service was great and our food came out really quickly. The food was excellent and the portions were so large that we had enough to take home for dinner the next night. Overall, if you're looking for a causal night out in a unique Philly restaurant, Devil's Alley is the place!

Friendly, Fun and Tasty
Devil's Alley was a perfect spot within walking distance to our hotel. The service was great and the menu had good selection for young kids, too. We were very pleased with the setting and noise level. The comfort food was delicious. We definitely would go back when we visit Philadelphia again.

Saturday Night Dinner
We chose Devil's Alley looking for a quick and inexpensive dinner between Center City and Rittenhouse. The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent with a tangy sauce, both melted and blue cheese, and even crispy bacon. Spicy fries were a good complement. The burger was cooked perfectly. Sweet potato fries were awesome. They even had a kids menu. Delivered on all accounts, good food, decent price, and quick service.

The atmosphere was pleasant and engaging, the server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu options. The noise level was good because every person in our party of 7 was able to participate in the ongoing conversation which bounced from one end of the table to the other. Everyone was able to find something they could eat and enjoyed even though our group composition ranged from extreme meat eaters to vegetarians.
