Welcome addition to Liberty Station
Have enjoyed Stone twice since it opened. And, though it's very new the food and service were totally up to snuff each time. Try the boar ribs, fabulous! Also have enjoyed the scallops and the tilapia.
I was concerned about the noise level knowing the buildings there but they've used sound baffles extensively and it makes for a nice sound level.
The gardens are to open soon, cannot wait to eat out there.

Great food and service!
Ambiance is good and service is quick yet friendly. Food are great, we always order the hummus with barley crackers for starter. It was a hit on our table especially my 3 year old daughter!

beautiful in every way.
Great decor, great food, excellent staff. Truly a great experience.
Stone used plenty of the existing Navy Training Command environment to accent their bistro and gardens scenery. The food was modestly portioned and simply delicious. I will be back, with friends.

Stone really out did themselves on Liberty Station. Very spectacular building and layout. It's huge!! Much more area than the Bistro and garden in Escondido. I think Liberty Station is going to be a hit. Location is great! Food and service is top notch.

Fantastic food, atmosphere
Fantastic food, atmosphere and, of course, beer! They brought the same class they have at the brewery. I'd recommend this new place to all of my friends.

We went on a friend's recommendation. Kind of pricey food, but well prepared. The Liberty Station location is huge. Nice location.

Stone Brewery - Liberty Station
We heard that Stone Brewery in San Marcos was great, but always crowded. This new location is large, and with an OpenTable reservation, we were promptly seated.
The beer is legendary around these parts, and I tried three different varieties. The taste and quality did not disappoint. This is what they do, and they do it well.
I was expecting a different menu selection - it was on the gourmet side. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and more importantly, the taste. It paired very well with the beer selection, and the ambiance of this new restaurant was nice.
We highly recommend!

Fathers Day for one
While my wife and daughter were in Pennsylvania for family matters, I decided to treat myself to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station for Fathers Day. I made the reservation thru OpenTable and REALLY glad I did. When I arrived, I found out there was an hour wait. However, my table was waiting for me as soon as I got there. The waiter, Cameron, was very polite and I never needed to wait for anything. The Chicken Schnitzel was DELICIOUS and the Stone Levitation Ale went great with the meal. The ONLY thing about the restaurant that could be improved upon was signage. I spent a good 15 minutes looking for the Brewery as the maps at Liberty Station are from 2011. I plan to return many times in the future!

We have always enjoyed Stone... We r very happy they opened one in our neighborhood!

Great food & service!
We Were Very Surprised To Find That This New Location Already Has Great Food And Customer Service. Great Experience!

Hidden, special Point Loma location
While I understand their desire to have NO signage and to be understated, it is a difficult place to get into. We were meeting people there and had trouble finding them, especially after having trouble just finding the doorway into the place. Luckily we knew where it was, because if we hadn't known where to go, we might not have found it. Once we got there, the service was fine, and the food was good and came quickly. It seemed that getting beer and drinks was the hardest part. . . For such a huge place, focused on beer, I can't understand why they'd have delays for the bar. And the waiters seemed focused on food and not very familiar with the beer menu. When we needed drinks, we had to flag them down and ask for them. Surprising.

Beer, beer, beer . . and good food.
Stone's Liberty Station is a great restaurant for the beer aficionado who also likes a quality meal as well. A lot of beers on tap and a more than adequate selection of bottled beer. The menu is not typical Pub fare, and Stone gives the foodie a wonderful variety to choose from. The restaurant is large, and holds a good sized crowd, but the noise level is lower than many smaller establishments. Good place for couples, small groups and families. We'll be back for sure.

Fun Birthday at Stone Brewing
The team at stone were very accommodating of our ever-growing party size. Once word got out that we were celebrating at Stone Brewing Co, everybody wanted to join us! The bread pudding french toast made my day and so did the great tasting 1215 IPA, whose proceeds go to charity. All 14 of us had a perfectly memorable brunch on Sunday.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Lot's of choices on the menu for everyone to choose from. The food was excellent. Can't wait to come back and try the outoor seating.

5 Star all the way
The recently opened Stone Biergarden had an almost endless list of high quality craft brews at incredibly reasonable prices. Between 6 and 7 dollars per beer. If you will never again drink a bud, coors, or miller after sampling these beers.

A beautiful brewery, staff
A beautiful brewery, staff was very friendly, knowledgable, patient, and seemed passionate about the beer! I was impressed with the diversity that the menu had to offer. I ordered the quail knots, very delicious and beautifully presented, I also had the duck tacos also delicious and different. My mind was blown with the beer-float! very creative. My only complaint was the so called rice and beans that was served with this dish. The rice tasted of plastic, and seemed like they had stolen it off an old pan siting on a stove for about 3 days uncovered. the beans were cold and had no flavor! Oh, and the music was weird. Otherwise I would go back.

Very Unique Experience
An excellently designed bar/restaurant both inside and out with a superb selection of beers on tap (particularly Stone special selections) and an incredibly diverse food selection. Would definitely recommend for any occasion.

Late Night Spot
Went for lunch w/friends. Staff was outstanding in every dept. Decor is great and interesting. Lots of room to move. Food was good not as great. Lobster Roll had claw shells in it. Fresh but hard to eat with shells and bread to the was too thick and toasted to dry. Chiveche was over cooked and chewie. Very small peices of fish. BBQ was Okay according to our friend. Hummus was fine, but it's tough to mess that up. Burrito with chipolte was the best. Great work with the chipolte sauce. Go for drinks and snacks, but dining.... not so much.

They Did it Again
As a North County resident, I'm among the lucky who live near the Stone Wold Bistro & Gardens - Escondido. Amazing service, beer, ambiance and experience! We've dubbed it, "The Adult Disneyland." So how would Liberty Station do as a new member of the Stone family? Um, can I just say OMG! They knocked it outta the park! Like the Escondido restaurant, the ambiance is absolutely fabulous, the service was exceptional and the beer speaks for itself. While the Escondido location has a sort of zen feel as the expansive gardens create an almost serene vibe, this new Liberty Station location somehow captures the more gothic yet rustic vibe of our beloved Gargoyle. Kinda like a place he'd live if he had his own pad. This is their Disney Wold!
7/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
The staff was so nice. From the moment we walked in the restaurant we were greeted with smiles and fun attitudes. We were sat by Franchesca, who was very welcoming and personable. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with our menu questions. My only frustration was that after we were sat at our table we did not see a waiter/waitress for almost 20 minutes. Thankfully our buser was great. He brought us water and talked with us after seeing that we had not had a waiter/waitress approach us. He gave us good conversation and made us laugh. Other than the extremely long wait after being sat at our table, we had a wonderful time eating at Stone.
7/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
I was very pleased to hear there was a Stone Brewery closer than a 40 minute drive! Its not as good as the original ambiance or menu wise, but I'll take it when I can't get up to Escondido!
7/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
Great dining experience. Gardens are wonderful beer is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Great food, great ambience, great service...Oh yeah, the beer was pretty damn good too.
8/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
The usual outstanding effort, quality, and attention to detail I have come to expect from Stone Brewing. Like the Escondido location, the entrance doesn't have any noticeable signage to help you find it, and the streetside appearance is classy but nondescript, but once inside, the facility is beautiful and top-notch. Great brews, great ambiance, great gift shop with growlers...I'll be back. I enjoyed the Farking Woot Stout, a cherry porter, and a glass of draft Pliny the Elder. Took home some fresh "Call it What You Want" Hefeweisen. Extensive draft list from quality microbreweries complement their own wonderful brewed offerings. Didn't have food this time around, so I can't comment, but their Strawberry Cream soda was great. Perfect!

We ate in the courtyard so the noise was only from airplanes taking off right over us! Love watching them! If you don't, you should probably sit inside.

More signage, please!
My biggest concern is your lack of signage to find you in Liberty Station. That building is very hard to find and the address number isn't to be found as one drives around looking for your restaurant. I finally called from Coverette parking lot to get directions and even then when we'd found the restaurant...trying to find our way into it. I like your food and beer...Please put up more signs!!
8/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
Signage is poor so finding
Signage is poor so finding it might be difficult. Best bet is to look for employees in Stone shirts out back smoking.
Food is great and the beer rocks. It's all good once you actually find it.

Hearts of Stone
We loved it. I checked Neighborhood Gem (among other things) because altho I don't live in the neighborhood, if I did live in Point Loma or points adjacent, it sure would be a go-to place! Striking interior, great vibes, lovely outdoor settings. Food was delicious, staff was very accommodating (we were late due to traffic, had one more person than originally reserved for, needed quick service because we were going to Taylor Swift concert.) It was all good! Great place for dinner before concerts at Valley View Casino Arena....less than 5 minutes from restaurant to venue. We live in North County, have been going to the original location up here ever since it opened, but we'll definitely go back to Liberty Station as soon as possible!
8/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
Juan was our waiter and was great. Good personality and attentive to our table. Great team work by the staff and very attentive.

Stone Brewery Liberty Station
The reservation system is great, able to get a table for 6 with ease. We arrived on time, and were seated in just a minute after arrival. Menu has many unique items, and a huge selection of craft beers. This was our 4th visit since this location opened, and the food and service as been consistently great. I'm a big fan of the ceviche, and the Yakisoba. There is something for everyone on the menu.
8/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
everything was excellent except the music. don't care for the style of music they play here and its played way too loud! Waitress was very friendly and food excellent!
8/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
I love this new location. I've been to the original location only a few times only because of the long drive to Escondido. The new location is much closer to home and still has many of the great beers from the Escondido brewery plus more from this brewery. One major nuisance (if you're dining outdoors) is the loud planes flying overhead every 5 minutes. It makes having a conversation a little difficult.

Lunch for 4
Great personal attention, including a tour of the entire new facility. Great service and food was excellent. One of the guests asked for a "lobster roll without the bun" (no gluten) and they put the lobster on a nice bed of greens.
9/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Having brunch with my family including my 3 year old on the outdoor area was lovely. My son was able to play around the water fall without being in anyone's way during their meal. I had the Chilaquiles and they were delicious! A perfect spice to it, nothing to 'crazy'. I also tried the ceviche and that was very fresh and pleasing. Service was great as always!
9/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
This place is outstanding. Beautifully crafted design and the food lives up to the decor.
I would defi.nitely return

Welcome to the Stone age
It´s surprising that among all the options this restaurant wants to be recommended for, the food is not mentioned!!! As a vegetarian I could finally found a good restaurant that has fine vegan and vegetarian options, a relaxed atmosphere (I love that you do not require special clothing for eating) and excelent arquitecture.
It´s a generous restaurant, because even when Stone Brewing has excelent beers, they have a wine list, and incredible desserts.
The yakisoba is extremely reccomended, as well as the stuffed pepper.

Glorious Fall Break Outing
A great place to catch up with old friends, while eating tasty dishes and drinking a variety of beers.

Perfect as always
Had lunch with my wife and two children on a Sunday. The food was great. I had the chicken schnitzel and it's one of my favorites now. Service was outstanding and the beer list was superb.

Had a great time!
We have been wanting to visit since they opened, and were not disappointed at all. terrific food, beer and ambiance. Highly recommend!!!

Great for small groups
I thought this restaurant was great and had thought about using this location for a a corporate meeting but then I was informed it was close to a $40,000 f/b minimum that changed my thought process completely. Great place for dinner, no real value for lunch but great place to host a client or two for a late lunch.
10/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
Go for the beer and the ambience
I really love the design of this restaurant and the servers are great. Beer drinkers will have a wonderful time choosing from the extensive beer menu, and there's a few good wine choices for non-beer drinkers. I've found the food is only so-so, and quite expensive for what you get. The menu is a little too out there - it would benefit from offering a simple steak and baked potato.

Great beer AND healthy food
On vacation from the East Coast, we had to sample the famous Stone Brewing Company beers and were not disappointed. In fact, we came back twice. First, the restaurant itself, though located in an out-of-the-way business park, with limited signs, opens from a nondescript doorway into a huge stone and gargoyle beer hall and patio seating with waterfalls and plantings. The menu is fresh moderate-priced California-style. We liked the mussels, hummus, cheese plate appetizers, and trout and salmon entrees, followed by excellent chocolate cake. However, this is THE PLACE for California, HOP-HEAVY beer. You can try your old favorites PLUS the limited specials, brewed true to style. A must for beer fans.

Love the outdoor seating!
Love the outdoor seating! I just wish they would add some little music outside.

Service People Need Help
Ignored at check-in by hostesses standing there while line was backing up. I had to ask if they could help us, 1 did & was pleasant about it, just the initial lack of acknowledgement. Once seated, it took forever to get a waiter to acknowledge us (again). When the waiter came to ask if we'd been helped, he said, "oh I guess your waiter's busy, I'll take you're drink order for now" (never apoligized for the wait) He turned out to be our waiter for the entire meal so I think some coaching needs to happen with the wait staff.
Food & beer selection was good but entrees were a bit pricey.
Ambiance was good. Loved the layout of the restaurant & the various congregation areas. Space planner & designer did a great job. The parking was great too.
