Good decor and food. Was very pleasantly surprised. Like it better than its Gramercy sibling.

The food was delicious. The waitress recommended some really great dishes and alerted us to the spice level so we could choose something within our comfort level. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and like nothing I've seen yet on the UES. We'll be back!

This is a great restaurant that exhibits what NYC is all about. Excellent service, food and ambience.

Good thai, pretty chaotic
A nice restaurant, nice ambient with good food. To be careful about the hotness of the spicy plates: i had to leave my curry because it was too hot despite i ask for mild! Difficult to have a proper conversation but ok to hang out

Delicious Spicy Food!!
Any item on the menu can be made spicy, upon request. Worth trying appetizer is Nur Yend. Definitely try their Volcanic Tom Yum soup with chicken. Other delicious dishes are Classic Thai Basil, Black Basil Rice with Chicken/ Shrimp, and Red Sea Prawn...

excellent service, great food
Our waiter was so friendly and accomodating. Have been here a few times and the food is always great. There can be a wait around dinner time, so reservations are reccomended.

very good thai
the food was delicious and service was excellent(although our waiter let us know it was his last day and he was formerly of Jean-George restaurants). Had sate and shrimp rolls for apps, pad thai ,drunken noodles and chicken and basil dish.
Food was very good and would go back =great for in the neighborhood.

Outstanding food! The best
Outstanding food! The best Thai food. The music was too loud and noisy. It was difficult to have a conversation. The music was much quieter on our past visits to Jaiya.

Excellent food, but...
We absolutely loved the food. However, we could have done without the loud music. Be warned: the food is extremely spicy!

Really good Thai food
For appetizer, we had the dumplings (delicious and by themselves worth coming in for) and the steak tartare (good but too limey). We had the chicken pad thai (delicious) and the baked shrimp lava (also delicious). The portions are in the medium to large size so we didn't have desert. Had a bottle of pouilly fuissee that was great with the spicy food. We ordered mild and it was not too spicy - asked for the condiment chili tray and we fixed to our liking. Definitely going again.

This is the best Thai restaurant in NY. I've tried so many of them & have been disappointed, but this restaurant is beautiful & the food is excellent. If you don't like VERY spicy food, be sure to tell the server.

Love Thai food. Great service. We've been going for years, and the portions are getting tiny and the prices doubled.

Excellent food all around. Fun to share. Should have ordered one or two more dishes.

We were in New York and found this restaurant. Liked it so much the first night, we went back the next. Excellent Thai food.

Went to this place without referal, and was surprised at how good the food was. Duck in particular was interesting. Great thai food, broad selections, knowledgeable staff that can help you navigate the menu. Make sure you order rice on the side with your curry, and medium is about as spicy as you need to go.
Some pretty decent appetizers as well, but I would not say they have the best panang I have had, though it was cooked at higher quality rather than best taste, i.e. great quality chicken, seasoned sauce without too much cream that indulges your taste buds but also your calorie count.

One of the best
We never have been in Thailand. but we love New York version of thai food . This one is one of the best that we had in the city. Everything was delicious. We had Tom Kha soup with fish, fried oysters, crispy Japanese eggplant, red snapper in coconut milk and red curry. Unfortunately we were to full to have a desert!
We will be back to try meats and sweets.

The food was outstanding! I was in Thialand this summer and eating at Jaiya brought me right back to my amazing food experience in Thialand.

All that is gilded is gold
We had stopped into Jaiya a few weeks back to grab a few drinks and appetizers. The bartenders were charming and very helpful once the decor had already lured us in. We knew we'd be back for an actual dinner...fast forward to this past Friday night. We were seated close to the back wall, skipped the appetizers and went straight for the meal. Server was incredibly knowledgeable about dishes, even when I asked for a suggestion based on another dish I liked, his suggestion was right on target. The food was deliciously fresh tasting and arrived promptly. Our server and others were always in a close vicinity to replenish our water or grab me more hot water for my tea. ONLY downside: nowhere to put your coat. Highly recommend to everyone!
