Friendly, quaint little gem
Intending to go to the Yellow Bank Restaurant, we changed our minds after finding Bistro 112 on Open Table. We had a well prepared, multi-course dinner with friendly service. I'd requested a romantic table for my husband's birthday and they came through! We were seated at a table upstairs at the front windows overlooking the vibrant old town street scene. They made sure we finished in time for the Shepherd University jazz concert a few blocks away. Looking forward to returning in the summer to sit in the outdoor courtyard.

You can't go wrong with Bistro 112
Highly recommend Bistro 112! The food service and atmosphere is always impeccable!
I frequent often and I've never been disappointed. Most places in Shepherdstown are hit and miss I'm the type of service
You get but not here the owner always greets you and wants to make sure her place is providing you the best service possible
I've never had a complaint but I am sure if I did she would go out of her way to rectify it!
The wine list is stellar I recommend the Wine Flight you're sure to find a favorite.
They are staring to over Sunday Brunch starting Easter Sunday and this is where I plan to be.

Food was outstanding as was
Food was outstanding as was the service. The place is very small and the tables were pretty close together which we didn't like. The wine list selection was poor if you wanted to order by the glass. But the food was outstanding.

Creative diing in Sheperdstown
The beet salad was simply delicious with fresh ingredients and oh so heavenly beets, walnuts and cheese.
And don't miss the soup of the day. I had a tomato that was not cream based, a nice healther choice than traditional. So many choices on the menu it was hard to decide.

Taste of France in Shepherdstown
An overnight stay in Shepherdstown led us to this lovely restaurant. The moules frites were prepared exactly as I remember in France and Belgium but with a broth that far exceeded all in flavor. Absolutely excellent! My wife had the salmon with a superb lemon cream sauce. This was another culinary delight. The wait staff are attentive and met all of our needs. We will certainly revisit this restaurant upon our return to Shepherdstown.

Fabulous clam chowder!!!!!!
The French Clam Chowder was the BEST! A light chowder, not at all thick and lumpy. This ranks among the finest I have eaten since being in Nova Scotia!!!!!
Dessert Crepe, Brie and Raspberry.....out of this world.

Wonderful anniversary dinner
We loved the unique, upscale-casual vibe of Bistro 112! We visited for the first time for our wedding anniversary. Prices were reasonable and we loved the option to order a carafe of wine rather than the whole bottle. Service was friendly and laid-back, the bread is out-of-this-world, and my salmon entree was tasty. We look forward to bringing our young daughters back for lunch one day It's nice to find a great meal in a place that isn't stuffy.

A Gem in Shepherdstown
A touch of European bistro dining - a charming setting, great service, outstanding food.

Strongly recommended, I am happy to say this bistro delivers great food and attentive, efficient service. My rainbow trout with almandine butter sauce was cooked to perfection and the charcuterie platter is not to be missed. A terrific discovery in wonderful Sheperdstown. They also have a small but creative wine list.

We had never eaten there, but are sure to return. The entrecote was cooked rare, exactly as requested. The bistro meal is a bargain, and the salad that accompanies it is expecially good.

We came to Shepherdstown for the Contemporary American Theater Festival, but it will be Deb Tucker's enchanting Bistro 112 that calls us back to town.
Dining here is a thoroughly delectable experience: Bistro 112 serves authentic French fare, along with a thoughtfully selected wine list and a truly exceptional cocktail menu. Tucker, a charming and talented proprietor, has assembled an equally charming and enthusiastic young staff.
Bottom line: we were in Shepherdstown for two days and went to Bistro 112 four times, including an impromptu Bastille Day celebration at the bar with a bottle of Brut Rose and a cone of their fabulous frites, all perfection - need we say more?

Lovely restaurant, lovely town
Bistro 112 does a lovely job with its entrees. We stopped here for lunch. The restaurant uses locally sourced products when it can. Hamburger was wonderful. Seafood bisque heavenly. The Caesar is grilled but flavorful

A Gem in Shepherdstown, WV
Terrific place in Shepherdstown. Reminds one of Paris bistros. Very fresh and well prepared food. We had the prix fixe -- real bargain for $30. I had the grilled salmon & spouse had the steak in peppercorn sauce. Meal began with a generous salad and concluded with an outstanding homemade dessert. Nice wine list, including interesting choices by the glass. Don't miss the homemade ice cream -- we has the cinnamon & fig. Excellent & personable service.

Great choice in Shepherdstown
Everything we ate was fresh, flavorful, and unpretentious. My husband's duck was prepared with an unusual coffee-based rub (which I shall try to copy at home!) and my entrecote was well seasoned and perfectly grilled. We shared desserts: a blueberry clafoute and a memorable house-made cinnamon-fig ice cream. Service was consistently attentive from start to finish.

We tried this restaurant when it first
opened and found the menu limited.
This time, we were delighted with the
choices. The salmon with lemon sauce
was wonderful. The Bistro meal includes
a dessert which is a perfectly sized
portion for those of us who love a little
sweet but don't want to end the meal

We sat out back and had it all to ourselves. It was perfect (except for the air conditioner hum, but nothing to be done about that). It was exactly the setting I was hoping for. Had appetizers and beer.

Fantastic in Sepherdstown, WV
A true gem in Shepherdstown! We loved it all; food, service, attentiveness, ambiance. Make a trip just to go there!

I had salmon with shrimp wrapped in bacon in a wonderful sauce, mashed sweet potatoes with loads of ginger and really fresh, perfectly cooked green beans--one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. A large bottle of water is brought to the table -- tap water, and very good. Also shared a simple salad with fantastic dressing--just enough. Server was fun and efficient, ambiance delightful. I recommend this to anyone, and we'll go back soon!

I always enjoy the charming ambience, unpretentious service, and fabulous fresh-backed bread at Bistro 112. After falling in love with the beet salad and the garlic mussels, I can't bring myself to order anything else!

We happened upon this little town and really enjoyed our lunch at Bistro 112. My lunch was wonderful, I had the crepes. My husband had a roast beef sandwich which was ok. The ambiance is darling and a very nice menu. I will definitely return!

Romantic spot with friendly service
Having traveled to and from Shepherdstown many times over the years for business I had tried every possible dining option with my colleagues. Our hands-down favorite was always Stone Soup so I was disappointed to hear they'd closed when looking for a romantic spot to celebrate our anniversary. I found Bistro 112 since it is in the location where Stone Soup had been. The menu has changed but the quaint, romantic ambiance is the same as is the friendly service. The food was delicious - I had the ratatouille as my entree with a beat and goat cheese salad to start. The homemade bread was to die for! Dessert was the only disappointment - the apple and pear cobbler was as dry as could be and lacking in flavor. Wish we'd chosen something else.

My wife & I spent our wedding
My wife & I spent our wedding anniversary at Bistro 112 along with our 4 and 6 year old kids. We've dined here before and it is always outstanding. They have an outside courtyard that is wonderful, Food and service is always top-notch. I've recommended them to a number of friends and colleagues and they share our enthusiasm for Bistro 112.

A gem in a cozy town
112 Bistro apparently draws both locals and tourists out for a day in a charming, old college town. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the food and could distinguish for me the difference between two dishes with similar ingredients, one being lighter, the other comfort food. The carafe of house wine was ample for two of us to have two smallish glasses. The salad was fresh and familiar with surprises. I don't think I had even eaten heirloom carrots! I highly recommend 112 Bistro for lunch, and I'd like to go back for dinner some time.

Pleasant Evening out
A charming little bistro with a modest but fairly well-executed menu. The prix fixe three course menu was a real dining bargain. The Server, host, and owner were friendly and accommodating. Good French cafe food, American portions, and if you keep your expectations in check (this is not haute cuisine), and you will enjoy the experience in a cool little town.

Tiny Tasty Treat!
This tiny little spot has someone in the Kitchen who knows what they are doing! Roasted Root Vegetable Soup with a Grilled Garlic Bread, OUTstanding! I then chose to have an app for my main course, Coquilles St Jacques (scallops in Gruyere sauce w/ mushrooms) It was velvety and rich, the mushrooms were tiny buttons and the scollops were text book perfect. My husband had a tasty roasted chicken with Pomme Frites. I ordered a carafe of house wine which was just fine, brought in a pottery carafe, I almost asked if I could purchase it was so nice. Dessert was a shared Creme Brûlée that had a proper burnt sugar top over a not too sweet very creamy base. Service was friendly, overall excellent!

Was staying at Nora Robert's Inn in Boonsboro and wanted a great dinner. This place is a gem. Had scallops and they were fresh and the veggies were fresh and organic. They had an ample wine list. Wife had duck and it was divine. The waitress was very friendly and the owner came to our table to give us a menu to give to Nora. Parking might be tough during the early evening when college kids and parents look for dining. I would make a reservation on open table. Look for the lit up Eiffel Tower in the window. Much better than Bavarian Inn. I would heartily recommend it without reservation.

Very nice Classic French faire
This was our second visit - the first being a lunch stop while biking the C & O Canal. The crepes were excellent, so we came back for dinner on this trip to Shepherdstown, which was a very pleasant experience! Highly recommend the l'entrecote au poivre. Will definately be back!
