The Shrimp & Mushroom appetizer
The Shrimp & Mushroom appetizer was wonderful, as was the Burrata alla Bella Vita. The cheese on the Burrata was MAGNIFICENT!! Smooth, creamy - oh so good! Entrees we sampled were the Tortellini della Nonna and the halibut special. Both excellent - no complaints at all! Good wine list - although I would like to see a few more Chianti selections (especially by the bottle). We even splurged and had dessert - crème brule and tiramisu ... again, excellent and no complaints! Service was above par - attentive without being overbearing!

Mother's Day at La Bella Vita
This restaurant was a central point for the family to get together from around the State, and they made it very special for us. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect for a lunch time celebration! Our waiter, Eric, was the best I have had in a long time.We hope to make this one a regular stop!

Tasty Italian Dining
When La Bella Vita was recognized as one of the Best of the Springs for 2013, we knew we had to check it out. It was a quiet Wednesday night in the restaurant and we were seated right away. Service was terrific and before we knew it we were dining on unbreaded calamari and house bread, our salads, and moving on to the main course. Everyone enjoyed their food, whether it was fettuccine, spaghetti, lasagna, or a shrimp scampi. And the deserts were wonderful as well. We'll definitely be back to sample other delicacies on their menu!

Great food... almost too much. Our waiter was incredibly helpful in recommending dishes for individuals in our group... we had 12 for a graduation dinner.

I think this is the best Italian Restaurant in Colorado Springs. I base this on spending a great deal of time in Italy including one year when I was there two weeks out of three. I also lived in the NYC area for 17 years and frequented the ones in Midtown.
There pastas and Italian dishes are notable delicately sauced so as not to make a stew out of them which is what a lot Americans must like. The flavors are also exquisitely brought out in the sauces.
The owners are Italians, not Italian Americans.

This was my first trip to La Bella Vita and I hope to return as soon as I can!
First off, the food was the best Italian food I have ever had, hands down. My group was equally impressed with the food. It was seriously amazing. The two gentlemen that run La Bella Vita are practically artists and their food reflects pride in their craft. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.
In addition to our experience with the food, the staff was incredibly friendly and made the visit much more enjoyable. The chef personally visited our table and greeted us.
All in all, La Bella Vita is an outstanding establishment and I highly recommend it.

Celebration Dinner with Friends
A group(6) of us went to celebrate over dinner and wine. The wine was excellent, the food was even better. :-)

Major Mandolin was the hit of the evening, making the Ambience something very special. The wine selections were essentially unknown wines from Italy but proved to be outstanding, more descriptive explanations would be helpful. The food and service was excellent.

The Finest Italian DIning We have
Each of the three times we've dined here has been outstanding. The food is exquisite and bears little resemblance to the corporate Italian restaurants' fare. Also, it is heads and shoulders above other longstanding local restaurants like Luigi's, Il Vicino, Panino's, Roman Villa, etc. Really there is no comparison. For too long Colorado Springs has had moderate quality Italian cuisine, but La Bella Vita represents a tremendous advancement. The wait staff is friendly, engaging, and professional; easily on par with other fine dining establishments. The food is striking in its preparation, presentation, flavor and depth, and at very reasonable price points. LBV has no peer in town. Speaking as an east coast transplant, it is amazing.

Good food, good service
This is as good an Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs as any other, but doesn't rate as the best I've ever had. The food is close to authentic with subtle sauces and fresh ingredients. The tasty calamari is lightly breaded and served with a hot, homemade, slightly spicy sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my gorgonzola salad with fresh greens while my wife's Caesar salad was average. Our entrees were very good, but the sauce for my seafood linguine was watered down too much and it was difficult to discern the flavors because it drained too quickly from the noodles. The orange cheese cake was a nice, subtle dessert. Service was attentive almost to a fault; our conversation was interrupted 5 or 6 times asking if everything was okay. Recommended.

Have more beef dishes and fish
Mentioned occasion was to celebrate 85 year Birthday in both reservations and on arrival and no special attention were made even upon ordering three different deserts. A candle would have been nice.

Best Ital Restorante in Co Springs
Very authentic, feels like you walk away from Austin Bluffs and into Europe! Outstanding service and an atmosphere that feels like you've taken a short European vacation. But the food is no doubt the reason we'll be coming back. We're spoiled by years of eating in Italian restaurants in Italy and all over Europe. No one else in Co Springs puts it all together like La Bella Vita. My wife ordered the baked manicotti...fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ordered a not so normal dish, ear shaped pasta with crushed red pepper, sausage and brocolli. Delicious and perfectly prepared. We shared a good bottle of Italian wine that was reasonably priced. Just a wonderful overall dining experience.

Nice to have
La Bella Vita is a much needed restaurant in Springs. The selection was good and loved the food. i have shied away from Italian being I hadn't founr one worth going back to. This one I would visit again to try some other dish. The flavors and textures were good and loved the attentiveness of the staff. Will be back.

A Hidden Gem
We came to this restaurant on a whim on our last night of our vacation in Colorado and it turned out to be one of the best places we dined. We only wished we had found it sooner because we definitely would have returned. Great food at reasonable prices. The burrata mozzarella appetizer was amazing:) The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. A little off the beaten path, but a real hidden gem in Colorado Springs, CO!

Lived up the billing
We've been wanting to try this place since reading a glowing review several months ago. It lived up to the billing. Great menu. Service is top-notch, staff knows the menu well. Nice touch to have the owner at the door, saying goodbye and grazi with a handshake. I cook a lot of good Italian at home, so rarely find an Italian restaurant that impresses me. La Bella Vita does! We'll be back!

Best Italian Restaurant in COS !
This was the second time we have had dinner here and it once again impressed us with the quality of service, food, and overall feeling of a restaurant in Italy. I am Italian and ought to know. The wine selection is excellent, the appetizers nicely selected with daily specials, and the lack of a 'rushed' atmosphere is welcome. The salads are incredibly good with many choices, and then the entrees are over the top. The first time we had no room left for dessert, but the second time we were full, but still went for it and were overjoyed with the tiramisu, panna cotta, and real spumoni ice cream!
Finally...something in Colorado Springs. Lets keep this gem here by having the experiences we have had there

The panzanella salad is to die for!!! We had pasta dishes for our main course, and those were very flavorful as were our excellent appetizers and desserts. The carpaccio was some of the best I've had. It was served with generous paper thin slices of parmesan of excellent flavor and quality. The atmosphere is a bit on the plain side, it's a casual restaurant, but that's a good thing. We went on a Saturday night and noticed that while some diners finished their meals and left in the ususal amout of time, other tables of friends or family lingered, eating and enjoying their food and wine for several hours with no rush from the owner/manager. That is very European!!

Great Italian food
We were greeted at the door and the staff was very attentive. We had a group of 10 which was served well. They cooked to order a special request with no hesitation. The Manager greeted us also and had the feeling of authentic Italian restaurant. Veal dishes were excellent and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Friendly environment with great service and wonderful food. the servers explain the specials and answer your questions with genuine Italian accents. Prices are reasonable. Deserts are something to look forward to.
9/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
We keep returning to this restaurant. The chef is from Italy and creates some wonderful flavors. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Pricing is not cheap but you do get what you pay for. The deserts are worth saving room for.

Amazing Upscale Italian Cuisine
This is the best high class Italian Restaurant I have eaten at in Colorado Springs. The service is absolutely top notch and the food is world class. If you want an elegant gourmet experience, eat here.

Welcoming and delicious
This is a great place for a delicious dinner in a comfortable and welcoming setting. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated. The service was attentive and efficient and the meal nicely paced. We tried pasta, veal and fish dishes, and they were each outstanding. Nice wine list, too. Great value all around.

La Bella Vita
A good buy! Traditional Italian fare (NOT Italian-American) that doesn't break the pocketbook. We shared an appetizer, each had a pasta dish, and both had veal entrees. With tip and a coupon, it was $100 total... a great buy.
10/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
Fabulous traditional and authentic italian food. My husband and I both had veal dishes that were cooked perfectly with absolutely amazing sauces. Service was friendly and attentive without the waiter hovering around. Wishing I had saved room for dessert.

The food was very fresh and
The food was very fresh and authentic. The Jumbo ravioli we had was spectacular, homemade pasta made fresh that day! The filling and sauce were delicious. We also tried the orange cheesecake which was superb! Our waiter was very attentive, helpful, courteous and respectful. We will definitely return, there are many more menu selections we would like to try.

Great overall experience,
Great overall experience, I enjoyed the veal !!! The waiter's suggested an excellent wine. We found our our favorite restaurant in town!!
10/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
A wonderful find on the Garden of the Gods corridor. Food as I remember from living in Italy.
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
This may be the best Italian place in town. The building and room can't really compete with other good restaurants, but it's okay inside, and the food is great. The pasta and gnocchi are hand-made, and they have high-end specials if you're interested in that. So the environment is never going to be Paravacinnis, but the food was probably as good or better.
11/8/2013 4:00:00 PM
The food was exceptional and
The food was exceptional and the service was 2nd to none. A wonderful place with delectable food that kept my wife and I full for hours afterwords with no feelings of regret other than we wish we had room for more of that great food.
11/13/2013 4:00:00 PM
Received a complimentary appetizer for our 25th anniv. Took advantage of the Early Bird specials before 5:30. They graciously let us split a salad which tasted wonderful. Very large portions for dinner that lived up to their reputation. Staff friendly as we had toured the chef's home renovation a few months before. Definitely worth the money. Will go again.
