Mazza never disappoints. The service is exceptional and the food is fresh. Such a reasonably priced meal as well. Truly a Salt Lake institution.

Laid Back and Awesome
Mazza at 15th and 15th is no frills awesome. Delicious food in an otherwise non-descript room. People are dressed up, there with their kids, on dates, or having a casual night out. The food is so good and decently priced that it makes for whatever you want the evening to be.
If the food wasn't so good and the place not always busy, it would be a weird experience in a strange restaurant, but they make it work. It reminded me of hole in the wall diners from my time in the Middle East. I will be going back again and again and again.

Lunch with Friends
We chose Mazza for a lunch date because know and love the food on the dinner menu. The lunch menu is more limited but still good. We sat outside on the small patio, which was nice for the breeze but there was a moderate amount of road noise - it was a Tuesday, neighborhood garbage collection day! All in all, an enjoyable get-together though.

Delicious neighborhood restaurant
Mazza has the best Mediterranean food in Salt Lake City. The menu is large and I recommend doing a sampler plate as an appetizer. Portions are just right and the food is amazing. Don't be afraid to venture off your usual, everything on the menu is delicious!
The staff is very friendly and helpful when providing a recommendation on the large wine list and the menu.
If you go in the summer, the dining room may be a little on the warmer side since the building is a little older.
Overall, Mazza is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when craving some Mediterranean!

Friendly and Cozy
Good food, nice service, and cozy atmosphere. Only complaint is I wish the dining area were a little bigger. It is a very small place, so not good for large parties (4 at most), although I did see them set up a table in the corner for 6 people, but wouldn't count on that type of availability. The tables lining the north wall are so cramped it's hard to get in and out of your chair without scooting back into the person behind you. If you live or are in the area, it's worth visiting. The location on 9th and 9th is much bigger.

Fantastic meal, as always.
Fantastic meal, as always. Great little place for a night out with 2-3 friends, one lovely spouse or 2 visiting in-laws. Creative but accessible spices, great blend of heat, sweet and savory.
One of these days I'm going to order something besides lamb and rice dolaa, but that day has not yet come.
ProTip: be sure to make a reservation! It's a wee place and fills up quickly!

We seldom go to Salt Lake City to dine because it is a 80 mile drive. But we remembered Mazza from a trip about 10 years ago, and decided to return to meet out of town friends who were visiting Park City. The meal was great and the service was too. My husband who is our main cook is now thumbing through his Mediterranean cookbooks to whip up some dishes at our house. We'll definitely go to Mazza again when the opportunity again presents itself.

Great change of pace
Everything thing I like about a food adventure. Out of the way location, unique food selections, fresh choices. I would highly recommend Mazza.
