The Hot Stone Experience
Eating sea bass from a hot stone sprinkled with Himalayan salt is an experience I won't soon forget. Tastiest sea bass I've had!

You get to grill on very hot stones
Had a great time here and will be back. Food come out with meat of fish on a 400 degree stone. You take the meat or fish off immediately and cut small pieces to grill when you are ready. We spent 1.5 hours eating and the stone was still hot when we were done. The sides are cooked so you just concentrate on the meat. My wife had swordfish and I had Tuna and both were great. We plan on going back with more family!

Hot Stone Cold sides
As the title suggest. The meat portion of the meal was great. Fresh
Meat. Brought to your table seared for you to cook to your liking.
My only complaint was that the sides were cold or not cooked all the way.
Baked potatoe was hard and only half cooked. Staff and ownership
Were all very friendly and attentive to each table.

This is a very nice place to go and eat informally and enjoy yourself. The staff and owners were very attentive, interested in feedback and exceptionally nice people.

Cooked to perfection
Since you finish your cooking process yourself, your meat is always done perfectly or you can only blame yourself. We both had the filet and the cut of meat was awesome. I frequently don't have steak out but plan to do so again here. The Demi-Glaze was a perfect sauce as I felt the peppercorn too peppery. Plus your food never gets cold, a unique restaurant to the Lake Norman area.

interesting, in a good way
We always enjoy going to Hot Stone. It's very tasty, nice atmosphere, and good service. What I like best is that a steak is always cooked exactly how I want it because _I_ cook it. Affordable, too. We chose to sit outside this time- not exactly a scenic view, but it's nice to have that option.

Enjoyed the food tremendously and was a unique dining experience. It reminded me of a hot stone restaurant in Germany.

Hot Stone Grill
I've seen this cooking method on Japanese cooking shows and have been dying to try it. I was thrilled to find out about Hot Stone Grill. Your meat is served on a 400 degree stone and you cook it to your liking at your table. The food was awesome. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be going back!

We enjoyed the Hot Stone Grill! The food was wonderful, and the service was fantastic. We brought 2 of our small children, and though it's not exactly "child-friendly"- they were very welcoming and accomodating! Thanks Hot Stone Grill!

Steak is amazing! Concept is "cool"
The food is very good but it is a little pricy! The steak is excellent on the hot stone. They offer done exotic item like kangaroo. I will go back but not a place to take small children. The stones come out as your plate and they are HOT. You cook your protien to your liking. The only draw back is the price.

Hot Stone Grill date night
My boyfriend and I arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation, and the hostess (actually the owner) told us it was no problem and seated us immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu and the unique cooking method. We ordered the sausage dip (a large serving size, easily shared between 4), then the Wild Thing special (kangaroo) and the Catch of the Day (Mahi Mahi). We had read in the reviews that the meat came out underseasoned, and this was true. Only a little salt on our stone slabs, and that didn't do much to flavor the meat. Our only other complaint besides that was the smoke; the leftover bits of your meat continue cooking on the slab and eventually smell kind of burnt, which was off-putting.

Great experience & a really
Great experience & a really neat concept. A little pricey, especially since you're basically cooking it yourself but I would definitely recommend it & go back again.

Fun and delicious!
This restaurant has a neat concept and great service. We really enjoyed the sausage dip, steak, and scallops especially. My husband did wish that the stones were oiled somehow -- his food stuck to it while cooking. The macaroni and cheese was to die for. Definitely give this place a try, especially for date night.

Waitress was great and very caring.
Due to price this is a once a year dining experience.
Basically $30. for 6 oz choice of meat and a side????

Great romantic dinner!
We really loved this restaurant. We tried it, had never heard of it, and were pleasantly surprised. We had the baked prosciutto and asparagus. It was great but a little pricey for what it was. We both had a 8 oz. filet mignon; I had mashed potatoes and he had a mixed veggie medley. The filet was an awesome cut. I do recommend that you remove your entree from the stone and gradually add some of it back for cooking as not to overcook it. I also had the creme brulee which was really good and freshly made. There is also a 'Wild Thing' special and the selection for this night was kangaroo. My husband now regrets not trying it. We will definitely be back.

We came for the evening dining and it was great. I recommend trying the entree with the hot stone for anyone who has never been here. I recommended this restaurant to all my coworkers in the office.

The hot stone is wonderful! You are able to cook your entree to your desired temperature and always have a hot bite of food. At first, I thought it would be complicated and that I may have potentially ruined my own dinner, but it was easy and enjoyable. My filet was delicious! I even cut pieces of my baked potato and put it on the stone to heat it up. Overall experience was enjoyable. I will return and I will reccomend. The owner and waitress were very pleasant.

As always, Hot Stone Grill was fabulous! Busy, but not overly so. Nice spacing between appetizer, meal and dessert. The bread & Italian beans was fabulous! Our waitress was knowledgeable and offered recommendations when asked.

Give this place a shot
We went on a last minute whim to Hot Stone. We looked at the menu and thought it would be a great "try". Food was prepared well and with unique flavoring a. A mixture of Moroccan and French favors combined with some good ethnic variety. The proteins are presented on a "hot stone" truly cooking on the stone- really cool presentation. The new menu appears to be even better and the chef is a great. Give this place a try as it is something truly unique.

Friendly, Delicious, and Fun
Our server, Sadie, was kind, warm, and genuine. Our son had an injury, and she offered to gather up magazines if he needed to further elevate his foot. Thoroughly unnecessary but so very kind. Ahmed, the chef, came out for congenial conversation and to check on how we were enjoying the food. The cocktails were fun and tasty. And the food was superb. We highly recommend Hot Stone for every possible reason.

We went to the restaurant on Sat.Nov. 23 to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. Our experience was fantastic. Our server was excellent and really enhanced our experience. She made it a really fun evening. We will definetly return. Thanks Hot Stone Grill!!

Heard good things about this restaurant. Decided to give it a try for thanksgiving. It did not disappoint. We will definitely come back with friends.

Our whole family (2 adults and 2 pre-teens) dined at the Hot Stone Grill in early December 2013. It was our first visit to try out what seemed likely to be a fun dining experience. The Hot Stone Grill didn't disappoint. The quality of the food was terrific. Of course, when your customers are finishing off the cooking of, say, filet mignon at the table on a hot stone grill, poor quality would quickly show itself. My wife and the kids really enjoyed their dishes. When we go back, though, we'll probably leave the kids at home with pizza. While they enjoyed the novelty of cooking on a hot stone, the finer aspects of the experience were lost on them. It would be a fun place for date night.
