Embeya Restaurant, a partnership between international hospitality veteran, Attila Gyulai (former Director of Operations at Elysian Hotel Chicago, Four Seasons Hotels) and up-and-coming executive chef Thai Dang (RIA, L2O, Zentan) is “One of the hottest new restaurants in Chicago” (Zagat, December 2012), and “Diner’s Choice Winner” for Asian cuisine on OpenTable.
Developing dishes based on a range of Asian ingredients, flavors and textures integrated with French technique, chef Thai Dang offers a progressive Asian menu in a chic and elegant space, designed designer Karen Herold (Girl and the Goat, GT Fish, Balena). Driven by the same ethos behind the cuisine and space, the Embeya beverage program offers an amiably priced 200 label wine list, and well-balanced, layered craft cocktails.
The Embeya private dining experience is customizable and can accommodate an intimate private dinner for 10, a fun corporate function for 60 or an energetic reception for 200.

Embeya aims to creatively retool the ubiquitous Asian concept. Developing dishes based on a range of Asian ingredients, flavors and textures integrated with traditional French technique. Chef Thai will offer a progressive Asian menu in a casual, energetic space designed by 555 International, and will serve as a destination restaurant as well as a neighborhood hub.
Embeya takes its name from the Vietnamese word "em bé," which means "little one" and was Chef Thai's nickname growing up as the youngest of ten children. Drawing inspiration from both his Vietnamese upbringing and his travels across Asia, Chef Thai offers an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary takes on Asian cuisine.
