The Fourth is a Union Square meets East Village American Brasserie boasting two levels and 25-foot ceilings. The dining room is adorned with a massive roughhewn timber trellis, an over-scaled herringbone patterned marble floor, and wide French doors for open-air dining. The 100-seat dining room, with striking white columns, polished red plaster, and smoked bronze glass, offers three seating areas: a café with a European style espresso bar, a 24-seat communal/bar dining space with “benches for two”, and an elegantly elevated 45-seat red dining room for a more formal dining experience. The Fourth is Chef Marco A. Moreira's newest venture. Anchoring Union Square with the East Village this multifunctional expansive restaurant features a comfortable coffee bar and café, a traditional dining room, and a long stylish bar perfect for drinks and dining. Artistic features such as a photo installation, whimsically hung wood twin bed frames, local handcrafted furniture, and eco-friendly lighting are highlights in the lofty room. The American style brasserie menu features locally sourced ingredients. Super fresh oysters, roast duck for two and salt brick roasted chicken not to be missed. Accompanying it is an approachable wine list compiled by master sommelier Roger Dagorn and the owners own brand of coffee, Quatrieme.
