LUXBAR is the ultimate evolution of the neighborhood bar located at the corner of Rush and Bellevue in Chicago’s Gold Coast. LUXBAR features a second level private dining room that boasts a beautiful wood bar setting and a balcony with a birds eye view of the action on Rush Street. The LUXBAR private room accommodates groups of 20 to 200 people for cocktail hors d’oeuvres receptions and up to 80 people for sit-down events. Inspired by the work of Adolf Loos whose "American Bar" was designed & built in early twentieth century Vienna. The bar captured an elegance in simplicity; a style that greatly influenced the work of Frank Lloyd Wright & other American architects in the "prairie school". Stone, glass, brass & wood bathed in natural light, presence in the neighborhood is welcomed & profound.
LUXBAR as a neighborhood saloon is designed to convey that same simple elegance. The food is feel-good fresh, natural & easily understood.
