Located on the historic Sunset Strip, Nonna is inspired by the old Hollywood traditions of gracious dining and genuine hospitality. Have your party or event in the airy and elegant Murano room or on the covered, heated patio. Guests will enjoy classic Italian cuisine and Mediterranean inspired dishes prepared with local ingredients, paired with Nonna's extensive wine list.
Nonna's main dining room, Il Murano, with a red venetian glass chandelier and a wall of wine, can comfortably accommodate a group of 70 guests dining in, and 140 guests for a cocktail party.
Il Sorrento, the heated, covered patio, is divided into two sections, one with a view of the main dining room, and the other with a view of the bar. It can accommodate 30 guests seated, or 60 guests standing.
The whole restaurant can be reserved for larger parties and private events in the afternoons as well as in the evenings. Contact Nonna for additional information.
- The Restaurant Writes...
Nonna is Italian for grandmother, but besides respect for tradition, this spacious Sunset Strip ingenue is molto moderno. The restrained elegance of gleaming wood floors, paneled walls, and minimalist furnishings is offset by the exuberant energy from the large display kitchen.
Dishes are carefully made from superior ingredients and presented simply in generous portions. The menu showcases excellent products in plates of tangy, imported buratta, or prosciutto and melon. A bowl of orecchiette topped with ground sausage and aged pecorino is nothing fancy but made with care. Lighter Californian fare like thin-crust pizza and seared ahi tuna can also be found.
A glassed-in wine cellar has a strong collection of reds from Tuscany and Piedmont.
