Rose Pistola, located in historic North Beach, offers Italian cuisine focusing on the Ligurian region. The restaurant features a sweeping 30’ mahogany bar with a yacht-like arched ceiling, a chef’s dining counter overlooking the open kitchen, booths & banquettes in the carpeted dining area, and window-side tables fronting both busy Columbus Avenue and the quieter Stockton Street with swing-out floor-to-ceiling windows. The walls are graced with elegant black-and-white photographs that document the heyday of North Beach and the beat era.
In addition to the outdoor, sidewalk tables, the restaurant has three distinct dining areas inside, each delivering a different experience. From the Columbus entrance you enter the bar area with its tiled floor and smaller, trattoria-style tables along the window. As you move through the restaurant, you next come to the main dining room, which holds up to 70 seated. The alcove area along the Stockton areas is the most private and seats up to 26
