DBGB is Chef Daniel Boulud's downtown place where the French brasserie meets the American tavern. Come for the 12 varieties of house-made sausages from the Merguez to the Vermont. There's also seasonal Lyonnais inspired cooking alongside mouth watering burgers and towering shellfish platters. Wash them down with great craft beers (22 on tap) and affordable table wines. For dessert dig into soul soothing classics: baked alaska, hot soufflés and ice cream sundaes laden with decadent sauces and toppings. The interiors take their cue from the Bowery's history as New York's industrial restaurant supply neighbourhood. Floor to ceiling shelving stocked with the restaurant's own tools, tableware and dry goods overlook a partially open kitchen.
