Relaunched in February 2014, Japonais by Morimoto features a brand new menu showcasing Chef Morimoto’s wide ranging signature cuisine, a seamless blend of Japanese and Western techniques. The canopied Shochu Bar features Chef Morimoto’s own line of shochu, sake and craft beers, as well as the largest selection of Japanese whiskey in Chicago. Facing the Shochu Bar is an exclusive private room that can accommodate up to 26 guests. With additional spaces to seat groups from 40 - 125, Japonais by Morimoto offers guests a refined culinary experience. Full restaurant buyouts may be available for events with up to 500 guests. With brand new enhancements, designed by the timeless Jeffrey Beers International, our restaurant features two distinct dining rooms and among the new and exciting additions to our dramatic yet classic 10,000 sq. ft. space are a sushi bar backed by an open kitchen where Chef Morimoto’s signature omakase menus are prepared and Shochu / Sake bar which features Chef Morimoto’s own line of shochu,
