Bluehour offers two unique options for private events- L’Heure Bleue, the modern private dining room within the restaurant ideal for smaller parties, and our main dining room, a space which affords intimacy and conviviality perfect for large celebrations. L’Heure Bleue, “the cellar,” dining room features a wall of 2500 backlit wine bottles that provide a warm glow to this elegant venue; 65 guests seated, 100 standing. Utilizing Bluehour gives you exclusive access to the restaurant for the night- including our café, bar and lounge; our maximum capacity for seated and standing functions is 225. Chef Dolan Lane carefully crafts menus for all clients with their direct input, creating the perfect meal for each event. Both locations are available for lunch and dinner parties, Monday-Saturday; Sunday dining room events upon request with a reduced food & beverage minimum available. Please contact us directly for sample menus and additional photos!
- The Restaurant Writes...

Bluehour means different things to different people. In French literature it describes any time of day "of heightened emotion." In Portland it has come to mean "a great place to dine."
As the premier modern restaurant in the Pearl District, Bluehour opened its doors in 2000, with what Gourmet Magazine describes as, "the most sophisticated, contemporary food in town." Guests choose between the elegant dining room or the casual café and bar.
Simple, delicious and classic describes the Mediterranean cuisine we create in the Bluehour kitchen each night. The menu is printed daily, but Bluehour standards remain, like the pillowy potato gnocchi with black truffle and the perfectly seared, bacon wrapped sea scallops. Our cheese cart is among the finest on the West Coast, featuring regional and international artisan cheeses.
