Chef Daniel Thiebaut's abiding philosophy of excellence in food and hospitality makes Daniel Thiebaut a "must visit" during your stay on the Big Island. Our "French-Asian" Rack of Lamb and the Butternut Squash Soup are best selling items, yet, over 80% of what we serve is seafood. Intimate fine dining is still the norm in our many cozy dining areas as are the items on Chef Daniel's original menu. Now we have a larger Pupu (appetizer) selection and 15 additional seafood items including Kona grown Maine Lobster. Rapidly climbing the fame ladder is the Ali‘i, Chef Daniel's "Plateau de Fruits de Mer". Two platters high with a Maine lobster, oysters, clams, mussels, sashimi, poke, and lomi salmon; it is a gastronomic feast for a seafood lover or a great appetizer for a entire table. Chef Daniel's now opens at 3:30 PM with Pau Hana drink prices until 5:30 PM. Specials include doubling your order of pupus for only $4 more!

Catering: DANIEL THIEBAUT Catering is the premier caterer and event coordinator on the Big Island of Hawaii. A dinner for 1,000 or 10, our experienced staff will make your event a lifetime experience. We have catered Weddings receptions in remote Hawaiian Valleys by helicopter, graduation luaus under a tent in a mountain pasture, $400 a plate seven course meals for 200 by the ocean, and "Thank You Lunches" for 10 at the Community Hall. Many business and groups in our community depend on us to do economical small events.
Banquet Facilities: DANIEL THIEBAUT Restaurant is in the restored historic century old CHOCK IN STORE. It is a theme party unto itself. Take over the restaurant for the day or evening, add flowers, food stations, live music, paniolos, tarot readers, etc.
