So sad that this gem of a restaurant is closing. Food is still excellent as well as service. The frisee salad is one of my favorite things to order there, and it did not disappoint this time. The duck confit, steak frites and lamb were all delicious. This place will be missed.

Fringale has been our favorite French bistro in San Francisco since it opened 28 years ago. How sad that it is closing! It has a delicious menu, delightful ambience, and charming servers. We loved our 3-course luncheon beginning with duck rillettes and prawns in Pastis, and then steak frites and duck confit, ending with hazelnut & almond mousse cake and warm chocolate gourmand. Very satisfying and reasonably priced, as well. Merci beaucoup!

I am so sad that Fringale is closing later this month. I hope that the new management (Chapeau) keeps up this fine tradition
