Been eating there for years since they opened! Service was off! No manager on the patio to oversee service. There were times no one was on the patio for assistance. The server could not understand English. When asked what was in the gluten free pasta, she replied by saying spaghetti. We needed to know what kind of flour was used. She didn’t offer to ask the chef. My veal chop was served raw and had to be sent back. I had to eat when my party was done. They could have offered free drinks or desserts. Very disappointed in service and we brought our friends for their first time there. The food was delicious though. Just not a Drago experience!

We had dinner here last weekend and had a really great time. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Especially loved the whole Branzino (which was deboned and descaled table side) with the mushroom risotto and the panna cotta dessert. We enjoyed our evening out and will definitely go back soon.

How lucky are we to have Panzanella in our neighborhood. The redone dining room is more modern, less stodgy. Service remains excellent and the updated menu is wonderful. This may be the only restaurant serving warm bread with tapenade for only $1.50 per person! The pastas are all excellent, as is the branzino. With warmer weather here, dining outdoors is a special delight.

The restaurant was good but nothing impressive. Service was friendly. Did not like the wine the somalier recommended but he was nice and let me get another wine. We shared the grilled calamari as an appetizer which was the best part of the meal. For the main course we had pastas: the spaghetti al granchio (with lobster and crab) and the daily special of spinach pasta with pesto sauce and scallops. They were both bland.

Is there new management at Panzanella? We have been going to this restaurant for over ten years and have always loved the food and the service. But this experience was so disappointing. We will try one more time to see if it was an off night. The service was very slow and we were treated as unimportant. The food was not up to par at all. One member of our party had past that seemed like it had set for a while before being served and the sauce broke and was oily. The usually delicious toscana salad was over dressed and the ingredient ratio seemed off. Front door staff wandered the room a lot as if they needed to get the tables turned but the room wasn’t even half full. The only bright spot was Claudio. He was lovely and took good care of us. Hoping it was just a bad night for them but it was such a shock at how much it felt like the service and food has changed.

Always a pleasure to dine at Panzanella, where the service is warm and polished, and the cuisine is consistently very good. Keep an eye out for the specials; just had local halibut with morels, fresh artichoke hearts, asparagus and cherry tomatoes and it was superb. Portions are generous and bread service (with delish tapenade) is less than $2 a person - most such places charge far more. With warmer weather approaching, dining outdoors is always delightful.

It's changed. The menu is much smaller than it used to be but what's on it is still very good. One of the few places that charge ($1.50) for bread.
