Urban Tavern boasts two beautiful dining spaces right in the heart of Downtown San Francisco.
The gem of the restaurant, The Morgan Room, is a picturesque dining room designed for warm, intimate, and memorable occasions. The Morgan Room is an inviting space highlighted by reclaimed wood structural beams, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and beautiful artist series decorative mirrors.
The Cheval Room competes with the Morgan Room on beauty, but wins the battle for space. It is a versatile dining room that can be utilized for large business meetings in the day and a fantastic location for a reception in the evening.
We have a team for A/V equipment, which both rooms are ready for, with laptops, projectors, flat-screen TV's, projection screens.
If you are looking for a more informal event the Communal Table is the perfect fit. Nestled right front and center of the restaurant the Communal table feeds off the energy from the restaurant to start or finish your evening.

Urban Tavern is the newest and freshest Gastropub addition to Downtown's Union Square. Our philosophy is to provide comforting & fun, tavern-style food, using only the most pristine, local, and whenever possible organic and sustainable ingredients. Most of these items are made in house or sourced from within 200 miles of the restaurant. Urban Tavern takes advantage of our local bounty not only for our cuisine but also in our bar, from our exclusive domestic wine list to our draft beers. Fusing modern and classic technique with California sensibilities in a playfully fun manner, Urban Tavern has become the restaurant for Eating-Meeting-Drinking.
