  • Moody’s Bistro & Lounge is the place in Truckee for great food and atmosphere. With soulful music and delectable Contemporary American cuisine, Moody’s gives visitors an experience reminiscent of the casual supper clubs of the 50's with a trans-generational style. The cuisine is fresh, seasonal, simple and local. That’s the Northern California credo, although not prevalent in Tahoe until Co-owner and Chef Mark Estee began forging relationships with farmers just over the hill in Auburn. Estee sources the best ingredients available and brings them to Tahoe. His respect for all ingredients leads to clean flavors and a sophisticated simplicity in his cooking with a menu he changes daily. The front of the house is just as innovative. With roots in San Francisco and an influencer of the legendary Jazz scene of the early 90s, Co-owner JJ Morgan is reinventing the nightly mix of jazz acts and DJs at Moody’s Bistro.
