  • The Excelsior Café has been the foundation for Telluride Culinary scene for 15 years. Known as the Locals Café, the charm of the 1800’s building carries through to our professional, and casual service. A must see is the 180 degree view of main street if just for a glass of wine and pizza, or warm up by our fire with a martini and mussels and talk about your ski day on our couches. Our culinary concept is Italian American with an emphasis on local fresh ingredients. Our Chef and Owner Jake Linzinmeir adds nightly soup, pasta, and fish specials to an already diverse menu. Wine Spectator Award winning wine list compliments our cuisine with fun, affordable wines from around the world.
