    I took 5 clients out to Morimoto for dinner on 6/27/25 @ 7:00PM. The ambiance is great. The derive from our server Kara was also great. Everywhere else they fell short. The large sushi platter ($125) was average as were the rock shrimp and pork buns. Dinner was a disaster. My first clients meal came at 8:30. Two more meals came at 8:40. The third at 8:45. Then the last two at 9:00 and 9:10. I was the 9:00 meal (wagyu and rice served table side) and my client (wagyu ramen) at 9:10. I waited for my clients meal to come before eating as was proper. My meal was cold and the rice congealed at that point. I started to complain at 8:45 and it did no good. Kara was polite and professional but her talk with the kitchen and her manager did no good. They took her meal off the bill but it was too little, too late. It was embarrassing to take clients out for a special occasion and have a terrific dinner service! Maybe a bad night or maybe a recurring theme. Please let me know if I am not the only one to be disappointed in a specific occasion gone wrong.

    We had a birthday celebration and started with Oysters and sushi pizza which were excellent choices …then a variety of rolls and negiris…and we ended with the most wonderful NY strip steak …..We drove from DC and took us about 4 hours but was definitely worth it and probably do it again!

    I went with my wife for our anniversary. The waitress was AMAZING and very helpful with recommendations since it was our first time. We will be back 😁

    Great food. Our food was a little delayed due to a hiccup in the kitchen, the manager took care of it. Kudos to them for putting the customer first.

    Sat at the sushi bar. The waygu dumplings were so delicious and tender, while the watercress Caesar with wasabi dressing was ideal. Perfect amount of heat—unique in the best way. Then we had the chef’s choice of seasonal sashimi which was nothing short of spectacular. Stunning presentation with a number of items we’d frankly never had (e.g. barracuda). Drinks were also refreshing and atypical in the best way. The service was top flight and it was a treat to watch the sushi bar team work. Morimoto simply never disappoints.

    The black cod miso was amazing. Best fish item on the menu. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Large sake selection. We try and eat here when we visit Philly! Worth the $$$$!

    Both the food and experiences were quite incredible. Omakase was phenomenal. A outstanding variety of flavors. Service is professional. The place is very busy and bustling. Room was a bit cold. A/C overworked during a humid afternoon.

    The atmosphere cannot be beat. And there is not a disappointing item on the menu. This is my daughter’s favorite restaurant in the USA. We cone from Indiana just to eat here.
