Mio Restaurant & Café, located in the heart of D.C.’s, just south of Thomas Circle. Proprietor Manuel Iguina takes back to his Latin roots with Mio’s new seasonal menu. Still focusing on fresh, local products, Mio will feature Modern American cuisine with Latin-American accents. Since opening in 2007, a number of great chefs drove Mio towards avant garde, four-star dining. With Mio’s architecture likening it to row boats dotting the Caribbean coast line, the space supports a more “comfortable elegance” dining experience. The restaurant’s vibrant bar features specialty cocktails such as the sweet and hot rum Spicy Passion, and the best Mojito in Washington, DC. The wine list is worldly and extensive. Raised above the restaurant’s dining room, Mio’s private dining spaces can accommodate 65 people for a sit-down function or 80 people for a reception-style event. Entertainment: Every Friday from 7:00 p.m. until …. On an ongoing effort to respond to our guests’ requests, Mio will have live performances by the contemporary live musicians, Kike and Miguel! Kike and Miguel provide their listeners with a soothing, passionate, and unique musical experience. These two performers are rare gifts that should not be missed! Kike, originally from Chile, and Miguel from Argentina, began singing at very young age. They toured Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraquay & Ecuador. In the 90’s, they came together to form their present duo. We are sure you will enjoy their melodious voices.
