Wonderful fun bar, very nice seated dining room and private small but cozy party room with a lg round table. Food is great! Owners are great people.

Had some family and friends staying with me on a Monday night and looking for a place to eat only to find that just about every restaurant (other than some fast food places) in the area are closed on Monday's. I had heard good things about Pope's Tavern and while I'm in Easton, Oxford isn't that far and was pleased to find that they are pretty much the only place open on a Monday night! Well, I'm so glad it was open because it was a wonderful experience from the ambiance, the service and the food. We all had different things so we got to taste a few items and each one was well prepared and really delicious. We enjoyed that casual atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone who works there from the server to the owner/chef. It was a wonderful treat and not only will I be back, I'll be sure to recommend this place.

We had a wonderful experience. The duck and filet were superb - highly recommend and hope they always keep them on the menu!

Pope's once again did not disappoint! We enjoyed a lovely dinner in a cozy, romantic spot. I can think of few lovelier places to have a great fall/winter dinner. The PBJ fois gras appetizer is absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned to share as a starter. The special that night - rockfish - was cooked perfectly and served over a lovely crabmeat infused stuffing. The filet was cooked beautifully and spoon tender. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, but the temptation was terribly strong! Service was attentive, friendly, and wonderfully paced. We recommend Pope's to our friends and continue to consider it one of the best.
