Diner Reviews
  • "The. Bistro never disappoints! Servers are always extremely educated on food and wine. Very professional. The food has always been intersting and delicious-often difficult to decide. Starters are my favorite. Fun casual atmosphere, dress up or dress down no one will judge. Always a place we bring out of towers for a fun night and a delicious meal."

  • "More about portion size and richness than quality and healthy. It was hard to find something on the menu that didn't leave you feeling like a slug."

  • "great food, bistro style with reasonable priced wines, knowledgable staff"

  • "Their unique options that met the needs of different generations. We had two mid 20 year olds who were famished, and two 50 year olds who are picky. The service was prompt and attentive. Recommendations were appreciated. The food was unique and perfectly prepared. Although the tables have white table cloths complementing the unique fare, the ables also had paper covering them, with crayons on every table. It was the perfect combo of incredible food and unique atmosphere."

  • "We eat at the Bistro regularly as we are local and consider it to the our favorite place to eat. I ordered the lamb dish and the lamb was raw and chewy. Danny, our waiter offered to take it back and make it right, which he did. My husband ordered the fried chicken and it was delicious. When Danny brought a new piece of lamb to the table, it was perfectly cooked, but, regrettably, by then I had lost my appetite and wasn't hungry any more. Danny graciously offered to send the piece of lamb home with me and I enjoyed it the next day for lunch. Danny also removed the charge for the lamb meal from our bill, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband raved about the chicken all night."

  • "We dine at the Rendezvous every year whine visiting Jackson. Our meal is always very good and there is a creative choice of dishes. One of us had Steak and the other Trout. Both were very good."

  • "This is our choice for family and friends. great place, great food."

  • "took friends there because I'd dined there several years ago and it was good. this time disappointing. had a part of five and only one enjoyed their meal. service was outstanding though."

  • "I was not blown away by my dining experience at Rendezvous Bistro, but it was a nice place. I got the Pork Shoulder and my brother got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and greens. The pork shoulder was tender and had a had a good mix of flavors. The fried chicken left a little to be desired, and the mashed potatoes were kind of bland. The waiter was just attentive enough."

  • "Overall a good experiece, however was extremely disappointed in the Venison Leg meal. The venison was tough and full of grissle. I have eaten a lot of venison and have never had this experience before. To compensate they wanted to offer me desert. I do not eat desert and do not believe that that compensates for the meal not meeting expectations."

  • "Rendezvous is one of our top 3 restaurants in Jackson. Consistently great food and service over the years!"
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "Rendezvous was so highly rated by others so we had to check it out. Our server was very flighty which set an awkward tone for the evening. Food was ok, seems like they are trying to be too creative, too many flavors mixed in one dish. An unfortunate let down in a town known for their dining scene."

  • "I want like this place. The service is always awesome. The atmosphere is always energetic and filled with locals. Unfortunately, this was the third time in a row that we received partially cooked food, undercooked rice, potatoes and pork. It is just too inconsistent and I am afraid we are done trying to make it work."

  • "We received from our Real Estate agent 500.00 when we purchased business real estate and 500.00 when we bought our home. In the past two years we have eaten over l000.00 dollars worth of food at Bistro. Food and service have always been fine, this last experience was the same except for the fact that we were seated in the middle of the room and waiter traffic and other customers were absurdly close. It struck me as the epitome of greed, rather than a fine dining experience, it was noisy and dinner was interupted moving our chairs or ducking to avoid waiters with plates going by. Remove 3 tables from the middle of the room. We finished up the last of our gift certificate at this time and probably will not return for awhile."

  • "As always, Chef Joel & his team knocked it out of the park - Such a GREAT restaurant! Love, Love, Love..."

  • "We were seated promptly. Service pacing was probably just a tad slow for my tastes, and it was the typical "modern" eatery where you put as many tables/chairs into one place as you can. The food was inventive and tasty. Flavor profiles and combinations were well done. Water glasses were kept full even when busy. The level of noise was a bit irritating. The crabmeat appetizer, monkfish, and chocolate bread pudding were standouts. In short, I would go back."

  • "This is such a great restaurant to pop into any night of the week. There is always a good crowd and the food is delicious, yet reasonably priced."

  • "The pasta and meatloaf entrees were vey good. The pork adobo was good, but diners should know that the coconut milk will add sweetness to the dish. Very disappointing, however, was the monk fish entree. We all had a taste and had the same reaction as my husband who became ill later that evening with stomach and intestinal discomfort. The waitress was somewhat condescending when my specific drink order was unavailable. I believe her intentions were good in that she made a suggestion to meet the ingredients, but her tone was not pleasant. She seemed irritated and never provided us with any "friendly" service. We were with locals who know of the longtime waitress and were, themselves, disappointed. The calamari appetizer was excellent!"

  • "Went with a group of 3 adults on a Thursday night. The restaurant was buzzing. It was filled with happy patrons. The food is excellent, presentation was superb, and the service was first rate. No complaints at all."

  • "Poor and limited and in imaginative menu. Listless and cold service. Food under or over cooked. All in all an awful experience and after coming to JH for many eyes and dining at Rendezvous Bistro several previous times, we will not return. Off of our list"

  • "We are locals in Jackson and eat at each of the Fine Dining restaurants several times per year. Rendezvous Bistro is our favorite. We almost always take out of town friends here when they visit, because we know the experience will always be a good one and the food is predictable. Predictably fantastic. The managers and hosts are always great. The servers...they do a good job, but typically have an arrogance which is the only negative thing I can say about this place. Overall, though...it's excellent, which is why we keep going back!"

  • "The menu seemed to specialize in local wild game and seasonal ingredients. We tried both the venison leg and lamb belly - FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, my mom's roasted chicken seemed to get less care and came dry and overcooked. Nevertheless, Rendezvous Bistro served our favorite meal from our week-long vacation."

  • "It is run by our favorite restraunt group in the local area. Well trained staff, excellent chefs, great decorators for ambience and super food. Each of their resatraunts has a unique character. RB is sophisticated while wearing jeans or dress-up."

  • "We had a great meal for dinner. My wife had the Pork Adobo and I had the Monkfish. Both plates were very tasty and filling. Service was very efficient and friendly. The only complaint I would make is with the noise level, which was relatively high."

  • "Last minute overnight in Jackson, and Bistro was able to accommodate a reservation for two last minute on a Friday. Great time, and great staff. Highly recommend."

  • "Rendezvous Bistro seems to specialize in exotic items, from local game to Russian ethnic cuisine (our party of 4 had both). All done superbly, with a friendly and efficient service, and a nice setting. Be prepared for a culinary adventure, and you will not regret it. I wish we had time to go there again during our stay in Jackson Hole."

  • "MENU HAS BECOME TOO CONTRIVED AND INVOLVED. BRING BACK THE SIMPLE DISHES WITH GREAT FLAVORS. MONKFISH WRAPPED WITH PROSCUITTO WAS SALTY AND FISH YASTED OLD SO ONLY ATE ONE BITE. AND IT WAS ACCOMPANIED BY SALTY SPLIT PEA PUREE WITH PERSIMMON SAUCE ON TOP AND MUSHROOMS -- TOO MUCH. KEEP IT SIMPLE. CHICKEN LEG...AS AN ENTREE? ARCTIC CHAR WITH THE KITCHEN SINK TOSSED IN -- LOOK AT ALL THE INGREDIENTS."

  • "My fiancé and I are both vegetarian, and weren't sure if we were going to be able to what we like... But chef Joel Tate made the most delicious vegetarian options for us! It was the best dinner we've had in JH. Also, our server Danny was amazing- great service, recommendations, and knowledge!"

  • "The Bistro was great as usual. This is my favorite restaurant in Jackson, and we were lucky enough to be served by the best- Todd Kosharek. I always take house guests here, and am never disappointed. The new winter menu had many intriguing choices and I cannot wait to go back and have some more red beet ravioli. The blood orange tart with chocolate sorbet is not to be missed."

  • "Almost everything was good but we where seated by the door. Not very happy about that. We where freezing the whole dinner and that was no fun at all. Not sure what you can do about it but you should do something. When you are seated in the dining area you think everything should be perfect and enjoy yourself."

  • "This place is one of Jackson, WY (aka Jackson Hole's) best. The service is prompt. The wait time for delivery of food is acceptable. It's a busy place with lots of hussle and bussel about the seating area. Their daily specials are always great. They are the only place in town to order fresh oysters. Their prices tend to be at the higher end but this is Jackson...not Rock Springs. At this time of year, they feature 2:1 which turns out to be a great deal for the thrifty."

  • "Food was good but not remarkable and we waited unattended for quite a while which is also different than previous visits. Still a solid place to eat."

  • "I love eating at Rendezvous Bistro. I have never had a bad meal there. The service is always 100% top notch and as long as you keep my diet coke filled, I am one happy camper! I LOVE the french onion soup and you can't keep away from the carrot cake…the carmel sauce has a hint of curry in it and it just sets it off. I love a restaurant that is consistent in great food and great service and RB is one of my top five favorite restaurants in Jackson Hole. Keep up the good work."

  • "Server was slow to check in to make sure our meal was ok, we needed a knife to begin eating; had to wait looking for waitress, asked another waitperson a while later to which he graciously obliged. Wanted to tip him instead! The restaurant is very loud. Noticeably, Open Table does not have a box to check for that observation other than "energetic" On the positive side, our reservation requests about seating and saving 2 portions of the Friday Special, were honored and earned accolades!"
