The wine list is thin, but the Crema Chardonnay he suggested over the house was a good call. He noticed that my son quickly ate his short ribs (they were fork tender) and asked if he wanted something else. We had seen mac and cheese with bacon on the menu so he quicikly brought out an order to fill him up! It's a small, locals restaurant, no view, but excellent food and service and a relaxing ambience. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Laguna Beach. And it's right on the Sawdust Festival property so if you're there in the summer, this is a great place to stop for dinner after you visit the booths.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGroup of 9 on way to concertWaiter was very nice and brought food in timely manner. Menu is great, with portions that allow one to finish without being stuffed. Good dessert menu too. No problem with parking--a big plus in Laguna Beach. Great restaurant to go to if your on your way out the canyon to a movie or any event.

FITZ Maurice, the artist, has so enjoyed the three visits (twice this weekend), with friends. The prices are superb, are servers Abel and Robert are terrific in their attention to our parties. It is a smaller place so reservations are a good idea. The owner was there and seems to really look after every apsect of the business and he treats everybody there like family. We loved everything about it and will be back!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived early expectingWe arrived early expecting to sit at the bar for a few yet the owner Mark met us at the door and when i mentioned we were early addressed us by name. It was a nice touch that only gave a glimpse of the evening. Mark came by the table a few times to check on us and to tell us stories of his life and career it was nice but not intrusive. The restaurant is small yet did not seem crowded. The noice level seemed a bit loud but that could be because the walls seem to be made of cinderblock and they reflected the sound. The food is excellent and very moderate considering the level of quality being served. They listen to the patrons as they will now be adding sorbet to their dessert menu...Yummy! Every time we've been there, the owner has been warm and always thanks every guest as they leave the restaurant. Smaller portions of exceptionally well prepared dishes. The place is small but comfortable. Service was excellent and the pricing is bery reasonable. Laguna Beach can be difficult to find parking however that is not an issue at Remarks. Laguna Canyon Road is an interesting place to dine. Service and food are excellent. Salads to small dishes to entrees all amazing. We've dined there now a few times * it's been perfect.
