In its current iteration, the newly remodeled Regency Room exudes an air of sophistication that is only skin deep. For those of us who have enjoyed dining here for years, service levels and food quality have diminished. Even tried and true specials of the house, like spoon bread, bread pudding and peanut soup, reflect recipes tweaked for cost savings. You'll feel pampered and polished. The food left something to be desired. The grilled chicken, rice pilaf, rolls, and desserts were good. All of the other selections were mediocre; almost akin to institution-style food. The atmosphere and service made up for the disappointing menu.
