  • "I was disappointed with the services. We sat down and order the wine, we had to serve our own wine, the server never came to ask us if we need anything. It took almost 20 minutes interval for the sever to come and take our order. Very disappointed!"

  • "Every time we decide to give this restauarant another chance, we are disappointed. The brunch was good, but the service was not. It took 15 minutes for a server or anyone to come to our table after we were seated and the restaurant was empty! Even after we got our food, we never saw our server to ask for refills, or extra sauce, etc. After he took our plates, we waited another 10 minutes before we saw him to ask for our cheque. Disappointing! It is the service that disappoints us each time."

  • "As soon as we walked down the stairs some kid told us that you cant book for the lounge, which was fine except it was like he was on a power trip and was rude. The only booth available was not cleaned yet. They should be cleaned right after the guest have gone. The server who is also the bartender took his time taking our order for drinks. Roughly ten minutes. Then it took another ten minutes to get our drinks, even though the lounge was maybe a quarter full. He was the worst and rudiest server I have ever had. our food was brought out quickly and its always a great meal. The drinks were there about a minute before the food got there. We were done our meal and had our coats on and we had to ask for the bill. I told the server he was brutal"

  • "Waitress was a joke. She did not know how to open the wine, or serve it correctly, spilt it on the table etc. We had to remind her about getting water, drink for those not having wine, continue to take away our bread dish while still eating. Managed to give a large steak knife to a toddler. It was just an on going battle to get the basic level of service. I think she should go back to serving popcorn at the movie theatre."

  • "After some friends said there have been improvements we decided to give it a try again. Nope won't be back again. Almost every time we go here we never eat together because someones steak is over done. The changes they made cheapen the restaurant and the once good wine list is non-existent . There are far better places to spend my money on a better dining experience."

  • "The food was just ok. We had the lobster tacos and there was a little too much sauce. We had steak for mains and you could get a better steak somewhere else or at home. They drowned it in there signature sauce of your choice. The vegitable quinoa had one cherry tomatoe cut in half and a piece of spinach and that's it. Not even any seasoning. We finished it off with carrot cake which was as if it was pulled out of the fridge directly to our table. The food was good but nothing to rave about or that I will crave. Our server was serving a large party and at first the service was slow but thankfully she had a trainee and let him take over our table because he basically did all the work."

  • "Typically I love the Red Water but this time I went out of my comfort zone and tried the special. It was the Steak Fitas and it was very very disappointing. It was 18$ for a cheap steak on top of fries. That's it nothing more. The steak was done perfectly but there was nothing special about the meal. Not sure why a salad or veggie could not be thrown in for that price. I will still go back as the waitress Naomi was awesome, friendly and funny and I have never been disappointed with their filet minon, but I thought I would save a little money and go with the special. My husband always gets the Bison burger and loves it."

  • "We were celebrating a birthday and most unexpectedly an engagement as well. We like the Redwater Grille chain partly because they handle gluten free dining extremely well. There were three of us in our party of six who required gluten free dining. Lovely warm GF bread was served and each entree was very carefully prepared. The wine we ordered was out of stock however we were presented with knowledgeable options. Also once the gentleman determined we were celebrating both the birthday and the engagement we were presented with glasses of sparkling wine. A special evening in a warm and casual environment."

  • "Have always enjoyed our visits to Redwater, but may choose differently next time, perhaps going to a different Redwater location. While the food is consistently good with interesting feature choices, the noise level made our evening feel more like being in a noisy bar rather than allowing us to enjoy good conversation over a meal. Not everyone wants to yell at their table mates to communicate. Maybe it is just this location? The other thing that would cause me to think twice is that I am finding more and more servers who do not ask you what you would like to drink if you say you will just start with water... they never seem to offer anything later in the meal and a person must ask for the beverage you want if different than water."

We were there on Friday for Valentine's Day, granted this is a very busy day for all restaurants; poor execution of the food, mix-ups from the kitchen, etc. This is not what should happen from an upper end restaurant. Our meals were tasty, however the presentation and plating of the food could be more visually appealing."

  • "I find Redwater Grille is a great combination, good food, good wine list and all at a very fair price. 85th Street is getting a number of decent recents, but I get drawn back here, for professional meals, groups, or family meals as it is always reliable. The patio in the summer is great with a view over the lake, but it was -18C when we arrived so nice to see the view but be warm inside. There is a private wine room, that looks rather nice, but I have never test driven it."

  • "We usually come there for their Crab Cakes since we all love them. The Sea Bash is very good with crunchy taste and not too salty. A little disappointment for one of the tenderloin dishes, we ordered medium rare but came out so red definitely rare steak. My kid could not finish even though... love the dish. We do not like to have the dish re-cook after we started. Might not try the medium rare again."

  • "We had a very pleasant lunch for four, including a bottle of reasonably priced wine. Food was pretty good, although soup of the day was only average. The server was excellent, and accommodated one late guest very well and didn't make us feel rushed. Wine is best ordered off the regular menu, which has some good choices, as the "special" wine menu is very pricy, offering 3 oz servings for around $15. This restaurant is always dependable, and I have been several times, and always had a good experience."

  • "Redwater is a solid choice when you are looking for a consistently good meal at a reasonable price. Nothing too elaborate on the menu but lots to choose from and the service is great. We like to go here because it's close to where we live. I find it to be the best Redwater in the city, and I have been to three other locations. Given the limited amount of restaurants out west, this is a really popular spot."

  • "Slightly disappointed with the salads we received (beet and goat cheese salad); three of us ordered this salad and no one was impressed- there was only one but and very very little goat cheese on the salad Just a little feedback- if goat cheese is listed in the title there should be more if it in the salad!
