Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I went on a Sunday night for dinner. We were quickly seated and our server Jordan was attentive and accommodating. However, there was nothing about the good that was exciting. Over priced and bland would be the best way describe it. Dessert was their only saving grace. Great place if you want to hang out for drinks but I'd avoid the entrees and stick with the appetizers."

  • "Enjoy the your selections, has great flavored not all garlic as many pour on. Always great flatbreads."

  • "We dined at Redstone as a party of 6 for an Anniversary celebration. Mike our server was very nice and came over right away. The food pot we ordered was fantastic for an appetizer, but unfortunately that was the only thing good. Several of our dishes came out missing ingredients (chicken on a chicken salad), my husbands burger was undercooked, and the walleye fish my Dad and I ate had bones in it. As the night grew on, the restaurant got more and more crowded and lively, and though we were tucked in a corner room, still could not communicate with each other. The patio looked nice, but did not have a chance to experience it first hand. The hostesses were helpful in accommodating a large table with a highchair."

  • "Great service and experience. The best restaurant I've been to in a long time."

  • "This was the third visit for me and it is always outstanding. Well worth the price. Have occasion to visit the area once a year and while there are many restaurants to try, if you want a great meal and with great service, visit Redstone. And save room for dessert ... the cookie with ice cream and chocolate topping is to die for."

  • "My friend and I had the ribs and chicken combo. Looking at the way it was presented, I didn't realize how many ribs and pieces of chicken came with it. Full rack and 2 quarters. I was disappointed that I left my leftovers on the table:(. Coleslaw was the only disappointment. Tooooo dry..no dressing. Did get something to replace it. Server was a but slow, but it was busy. Otherwise ..I'll be back."

  • "My wife and I wanted to go out for a nice meal for our anniversary... We were told that the food was good, but it exceeded our expectations!! Our server Mike was very attentive, but not overwhelming and his service was top notch!!! He gave is a brief run down of the menu and his suggestions were on point. Everything was fantastic!! From the appetizer, to the main dish!!! We have found a new place to add to our favorite places to dine list!!!"

  • "I have eaten at Redstone on many occasions. The food is very good and the service is attentive. I wish they would offer more meat dishes such as more steak options. Rarely do they serve lamb or pork."

  • "We had a reservation for an early Sunday evening dinner hoping for a chance to catch up and visit with some good friends. Wish we chose another restaurant. The noise level made conversation almost impossible. Service was painfully slow. Server was inattentive and would go missing for long stretches of time. We had to ask her for everything--water, drinks, coffee, cream for the coffee, dessert, etc. The manager apologized for the long wait, but it was too late. And why do you charge $40 for screw cap wine? Restroom door almost impossible to open. Poor lighting inside--so dim it was hard to see anything."

  • "The food was really good. As we waited at the bar, the bartender Mike was friendly and helpful. The waitress was lousy, we had to wait to order a long time, maybe because we brought drinks to the table. She was really poor. The martinis with pineapple were delicious. The food was excellent. We liked the ribs a lot! Just lousy service!"

  • "First time at Redstone. Pineapple martinis are very good. Had the Cheese Fondue, Prime Rib and pork tenderloin and all were very delicious and flavorful. Finished our drinks our by the fire pit on a beautiful night. Not rushed. Meal served timely but courses were nicely seperated."

  • "It took a long time to be greated and have our order taken. Our finished plates also sat in the table for a long time. Hostess had a hard time understanding why we didn't want five chairs at our table for a group of four. We ended up helping to remove the extra chair. Food/ambiance great. Service in outdoor bar area great. Table service and hostess seating us need improvement."

  • "It was ok. I had the prime rib, nothing special at all, though the garlic mashed potato's were quite good. Louder environment, could not escape the sound of kitchenware clanking together. Great "Stoli Dolli" even though it's made w/ Svedka."

  • "Four of us went to Redstone to dinner on a Friday night. We had a table outside which was great. Our waitress was very attentive with just the right amount of presence. They had a live music on the terrace and we heard them playing but it was not too loud. On the way out we stopped to check the band and spend another hour at the bar dancing. We really enjoyed it!"

  • "I was with my two children at 5pm on a Friday night, the meal was fine and our waitress was very nice. My toddler is learning to self feed so anyone could expect so food on the floor, at the end of the meal I see all the girls pointing and saying omg to my sons mess which was not bad, I apologized as I left but will never return, if kids are allowed at a place I think the staff should understand that a mess is a possibility, also would like to know I left a very big tip, will not return and will tell all my friends to boycott this place"

  • "my service suck there, the waiter was not customer service friendly she didn't attend to our table like she did the other table she was serving, I kept asking for water she was just walking by didn't ask did we need anything but I will see her at the other tables been very friendly maybe she didn't want to service us because were African American black."

  • "This was a return visit for Sunday breakfast/brunch after an enjoyable visit about three months earlier. The first disappointment was that no space was available on the patio. As to the food, my ham and gruyere omelet was overcooked, rubbery and tasteless. My wife's selection was OK but nothing special. One the plus side was the terrific complimentary "breakfast bread" and mimosas. We probably will not return for breakfast/brunch."

  • "My husband and I tried this place on a whim, and we are glad we did! I had BBQ Salmon, and it was fabulous! My husband loved his steak. Both of are potatoes (mine sweet potatoes and his garlic) were super tasty! The Lobster Bisque soup was really good, too! Service was great! The only negative was it was a little dark inside, especially in the bathroom. It was a bit pricey, but so good! We will definitely go back!"

  • "We were disappointed in the whole thing.the drinks were terrible.I had a whiskey sour and it all whiskey.my friend sent her drink back.the mint seemed wilted.the appetizer seemed microwaved. The server practically threw our food down on the table. It seemed like we were being rushed out even though it was early.we ill not be back"

  • "I had not been to Redstone for a few years, and on this trip was reminded that, while the restaurant is pretty and has nice menu options, it is very noisy and the food is fine but never really great. We had a wonderful server who took good care of us, and nothing was wrong. Just nothing special. We would go back, but this restaurant just wouldn't be at the top of my list."

  • "The food and service were very good, I did not care for our table location, it was really a walkway with a loud group behind us."

  • "I've always enjoyed dining at Redstone. It's upscale with terrific food and service. However, I was surprised to see how little parking they offer. They were gracious enough to offer valet parking for $4. There are 4 other parking lots nearby, but none would allow Redstone visitors to park there. Something should be done by Redstone to broker a better parking relationship. After all, we're in Oakbrook Terrace, not downtown Chicago."

  • "My wife and I decided to eat here as a last minute choice. We arrived early, enjoyed a glass of wine sitting at the outdoor patio bar before moving to indoor seating. The staff was attentive to a request to be reseated, my wife not wanting a view of the waitstaff sink and bus area. There was an unexpected delay in receiving our main entrees, but we were told of this after some time. Apparently, the Prime Rib was overdone and was another one was being prepared. The meals were served at the appropriate temperatures, but the prime rib was very tough, I suspect was an inferior grade. Management "comped" our salads, which was appropriate. Our waitress, Keely, was attentive and friendly, meeting our needs well."

  • "We went on a friday night and able to sit down right away. The place was busy but accommodating. The food was above average. The service was average. The best part of the meal was the peanut butter chocolate royal dessert. All four of us ate it!"
    Dined on 7/26/2014
  • "Our server Michael and his assistance also named Michael were absolutely spot on....so professional, knowledgeable and at the same time fun! If I had one complaint is was that it was incredibly noisy in our area....since I have only eaten in a booth or outdoors I was unaware of the fact that the acoustics in the fireplace room make it almost impossible to have a conversation. Would love to see the acoustics in that room corrected! I just would not eat in that room again but you can be sure I will return again and again!!"

  • "I've been to Red Stone a couple of times before this visit. Decided to go back for my husband's birthday. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great as well. To have options of outdoor dining, eating at the bar, booth, or table are always nice options. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Our waitress wasn't top notched but she got better as time went by. Nothing to complain hugely about. One of my favorite appetizers at this restaurant is the cornbread. I've introduced it to everyone I've taken there."

  • "Had wonderful service and food and our special requests for accommodations were met perfectly."

  • "Our waiter Chris was AWESOME!! We limited ourselves to one glass of wine, and wanted it to be just the right one. Chris made great suggestions and let us try several wines before we committed ourselves to a particular glass of wine. He was attentive, friendly, and just all around great. And the food was delicious, as always. Caution: The music outdoors is loud. Although there were only two of us at our outdoor table, we had to raise our voices to hear eachother. Ended up hoarse that evening from "shouting" at one another. Regardless, I'll still go back."

  • "Sat in a booth with two colleagues - not too noisy, not too quiet. Food was amazing - wonderful specials - you must have their cornbread with maple butter. Waiter was fantastic - didn't interrupt but was accommodating and gave great attention. It is on my list to return!"

  • "Way to expensive for the quality of food and the type of restaurant. The waiter was one of the best we have ever had, he met every need before you thought of it. Iced tea arrived in fresh glasses with lemon whenever you were almost out, he was very pleasant didn't hover efficient. Very impressed."

  • "We moved from the Chicago area to Denver nine years ago. Every time we are back, we make sure to come to Redstone. Love all the menu items, but are especially find of the mac & cheese, grilled meat loaf, and banana cream pie! This time we chose our meal, starting with dessert so we'd have room - the peanut butter dessert was our choice and it was FABULOUS!!!! Two of us tried to share it, but it's enough for 6 people - yummy!!"
