Diner Reviews
  • "Redstone is my favorite special place to dine. I am never disappointed."

  • "We arrived at our reservation time on a Sunday at 1 p.m. and were seated immediately. Our server explained the menu since it was unfamiliar to most of our party. The food was delicious. There were lower calorie options and the prices were reasonable. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday so she enjoyed the complimentary Mimosa. She declined the sparkler candle. She was happy she had declined as it was quite large and showy at another table."

  • "Very nice menu and consistently great service at all the Redstone locations."

  • "Nice and dark but not too much of anything. Not too loud but not quiet. Ample sapace in the booths and tables look ok too for room. Had a special date night with my wife and we both loved it. Waitress was good, not great but she did her job so no complaints with her. Steak was amazing and my wife had the best piece of grouper we've ever tried. I would go back. Looks good for a romantic meal(although kind of loud) and good for groups too. Slightly upscale feel but not snooty at all."

  • "Red Stone used to be one of favorite dining spots. In the recent years the quality of their food had drastically declined. I ordered their Parmesan crusted walley, which used to be one of my favorites and it was well below average. We rarely go out to dinner these days and when we do I expect to eat good food. With that being said, I don't plan on dining at Red Stone again."

  • "Been here more times than I can count on both hands, and I've NEVER had a bad food experience. Today I tried something new and was blown away by the deliciousness of the dish - GRILLED meatloaf (amazing how grilling it takes the dish to a much higher quality) with marsala mushroom sauce. I'm not even the biggest fan of mushrooms (sometimes the texture is offputting to me), but this sauce was DIVINE! A handful of crispy onion strings added a bit of texture and flavor to the dish, and having the meatloaf atop a nice mound of delicious garlic (not too garlicky) mashed potatoes was the perfect way to deliver the entree. Our server Bodie was totally attentive and accommodating. Also appreciate the manager checking in with us."

  • "Our waiter, Alicia, was excellent. She was very competent and friendly. The food was excellent. We look forward to a return visit."

  • "We all enjoyed the food. The desserts are worth the visit alone!"

  • "First let me say I usually don't do these reviews but Red Stone is so awesome, I need to share. I brought my wife here for her birthday. We ordered the delicious buffalo shrimp for an appetizer. HUGE tasty shrimp nicely put together. I ordered the rib not chicken combo with red peeled garlic mashed potatoes with very tasty corn bread wedge. The wide orders the ribs and the same. First of all I could just live off the potatoes. DELICIOUS. Service was an 8 out of 10. The only issue was the music was to loud and had a hard time hearing my wife."

  • "very nice time. Good food. We had salmon, grouper and steak fillet. They were very all good."

  • "I've been to Redstone many times as both a special occasion destination as well as a regular lunch / drinks spot. The food (steak, fish, flatbread) is normally very good to near great and if something is off, it will usually be quickly fixed to satisfaction. I understand the challenge of good service when dining outside during busy summer evenings, but when inside with open tables, things should be "right" My dinner this time was reserved as an anniversary dinner (told at reservation and twice to waitress). Service was very slow, wine not poured, water, other drink refill not offered, no special gesture, check brought very early, $200 for that? Just really disappointing and honestly doubtful to repeat for anything important again."

  • "Celebrated my birthday there and had a great time. For appetizers, we ordered Fondue and it was so good. I had the Hot Turkey for my meal and my husband had the Simply Grilled Walleye. He went with the server's recommendation to add Old Bay like seasoning but next time he would avoid it as it completely overwhelmed the flavor of the fish and I personally thought it was a bit salty. For dessert, we had the Banana Cream Pie. I could eat that dessert everyday! The nut crust is really unique in flavor. They added a candle when they brought it to our table. I'm glad they didn't sing to me! The ambiance at lunch was fine to me. We had a great location which I think we got because we reserved in advance and mentioned we're celebrating a birthday."

  • "We celebrated our daughter's 26th birthday at Redstone and had family in from out of state. The group of 10 was handled beautifully and the service was exceptional. The restaurant was a little dark and noisy making it difficult to see the menu and visit with that large of a group but overall, we really enjoyed our time there."

  • "Me and my 12 year old daughter went to brunch here and the food was great! We both ordered our own meals but could have easily shared a plate! There was so much food that we ate leftovers for breakfast for three days after that! Our waiter was so nice and was always right there if we needed anything. This was the first time I had ever gone there and I will be back for sure!"

  • "I come here at least once a week and have never had a bad experience, great food and great staff!"

  • "We chose Redstone to celebrate a special birthday for my husband and I let them know ahead of time that we were celebrating a birthday.. When we checked in, the nice young man at the hostess desk commented that he heard it was a special birthday. Other than that comment, nothing was said - the waiter did not acknowledge the special occasion and he lacked personality. The noise level in the bar was very loud and even in the restaurant where we dined, conversation was not easy. On a brighter note, the food was very good - - but overall a disappointing evening."

  • "It's lunch time - it seemed that the Eden Prairie Redstone had never experienced a lunch rush before. The line at 11:28 was out the door - and moving very slowly. Seating people took forever. Seriously - are they new at this?Dav Thankfully, lunch was good as was the service. BUT you never get a second chance to make a first impression."

  • "It has been awhile since we were at Redstone. It was very nice. Wait staff very nice. Food was fine. Some dishes I think better than others. But, that is nor a criticism as we all have different opinions. My crab Benedict was okay, my husband loved his, my daughter loved hers and my Grandkids had pancakes. Banana bread was great. I had stated that it was my daughters birthday on my e reservation and that was overlooked. The wait staff person was nice enough to bring a flaming ice cream. Overall, we enjoyed."

  • "Filo crusted walleye, substituting garlic mashed potatoes for the wild rice - along with asparagus one of the specials. Red wine blend added back to the menu from a while ago , Pork tenderloin with black berry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the cornbread - always delicious. Our meals were outstanding - would certainly order again and look forward to return again soon to try some of the other menu items. Our server was very well informed, went out of her way to make our experience a good one and it was very obvious that she enjoys her work and working at the EP Redstone!"

  • "Suburban/urban cool environment. A real happening restaurant. A couple of the dishes are unparalleled (e.g. spit roasted chicken). I had a special, the Rigatoni Bolognese. Fantastic! One of the best Dirty Martinis in town. Excellent service. Perfect reason to use Open Table. This place books up and the waits can be 45+ without a reservation."

  • "Consistently good food and service. Glad to see the addition of grouper to the menu. The dish was excellent. A welcome addition would be a specialty cocktail menu."

  • "Server was horrible. She seemed to be annoyed to have to service our table and possibly other tables. We had a group of 7 and were celebrating a few birthdays. Never offered the brunch coffee cake or whatever they happen to have that day. We asked as we eat there fairly often. We asked for the mimosa and she seemed bothered by that as it is complimentary. She never offered that. We had to track her down a few times. I ordered the endless brunch which I often do. They brought a second helping of a few things and did not finish it all, so I asked if they could box it as it would have gone to waste. I got a nasty look but she said sure with attitude. I said to my husband that this was the 1st time we have asked that but for $17you get more."

  • "I wouldnt say that this restaraunt is good for going to get dinner cause your running late, but I would most definately say that this is a great spot for a big family get together or meeting or even just a casual date night with your significant other. It has the best strawberry lemonade I have ever tasted in my life!!! I will definately come back again!!"

  • "I went to dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday and it was one of our best meals together. The booths were private, lighting was cozy, and the food was not overpriced for how amazing the food was. Literally a perfect meal and environment."

    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "We had heard good things about this restaurant, but were disappointed by it. We got seated at a table that is right by their outdoor patio and the windows did not have a good seal, so we had a constant cold breeze on us. We were excited to try the cornbread but found it to be nothing to write home about. Especially for almost $10. Would not try this place again."

  • "We had the jerk-chicken fondue as an appetizer and it was absolutely fantastic. The chicken is perhaps the best in the cities. Always a hit with us and it is the most consistent item on the menu."

  • "Been there several times---do prefer dining on the patio/deck--not in Feb tho. will certinly come back."

  • "The food was good. However, I had to send my steak back twice to get it cooked close to how I wanted it. The lighting was so poor that it was difficult to read the menu. I'm sure the lighting is for ambience."

  • "It had been a couple of years since my last visit to Redstone. The food is still good, the service was a bit spotty. We were seated right away, but placed at a table right next to the bar. Was there with two of my employees and it was loud and hard to have a conversation. The waiter was very attentive at the start and then completely disappeared for most of the rest of the meal."

  • "Very good food and service. During this visit all from the group had lunch items to eat; with a variety of different foods no one ordered the same thing. All agreed that the food was delicious and made just the right way to suit their tastes."
