  • "This was my second visit to Reds since the remodel and both times I found the environment too loud to be able to carry on a business lunch/dinner conversation. They have a very lively bar scene, and a nice selection of apps, which makes this a place more suited to meeting firends for a drink after work, but would probably not take clients there again and expect to be able to hear the person seated more than 3 feet away. Liked the wine selections, but the dinner menu was limited and offerrings a bit too "pubby" for a more formal event."

  • "We went on a Thursday night and the place was jumping, I got the impression that it's very trendy and buzzy right now. The kale salad was yummy as was the filet mignon. I recommend it, but know that it is loud and energetic. The wine list is very good and the food is very good as well."

Our server was very nice but slow to come to table ...we share 2 wonderful appetizers but didn't t really have time to breath before the dinner plate came...we both didn't t like the curry was too strong and the fish was smelly . But we will return as the tuna and lobster avocado was so yummy and wine superbe!!!"

  • "We have been to Reds several times before and always had an excellent time, but this time they outdid themselves. From the time we came in the door, to throughout the evening, they made us al feel special. EVERYONE was warm, welcoming, attentive and we could not have picked a better place to take our daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday. Whenever we are in Toronto, we make it a point to have dinner at Reds. There are many excellent places to eat, drink, and be merry - but this is by far our favorite. Never disappoints, always exceeds expectations. Thank you to Reds for making it another memorable evening!"

  • "The waiter brought the bill without us asking for it and they he kept coming by and looking for us to pay. We felt a bit rushed. We were celebrating a bday so was in no rush to leave. He came by with the machine so we decided to pay. I then asked if we had to leave and he said no but then he took off without taking the payment. He never came back until we called him."

  • "What a great venue for a business lunch. Waitresses and waiters were very friendly, helped recommend certain foods and wine. Servers were great and food was amazing - the pork special was recommended to us and we all went with it and had no regrets whatsoever. We were sat up on the mezzanine and enjoyed the atmosphere and décor. Recommend!"

They did a reno two or three years ago and it is more casual but not as good. The service is generally inexperienced and the servers have a poor knowledge of the wine list - even the wines by the glass."

  • "We arrived on time for our dinner reservation at 11 PM only to be told that the kitchen no longer serves dinner. There were only sharing plates available. This was not what we were planning. The food was good. The service excellent. We felt like we were eating in nice bar. It did not feel like a wine bar. This is a nice bar with nice munchies for late in the evening."

  • "Really enjoyed our meal at Red"s. Service was excellent as was the food. Loved the red wine we chose. I have dined at your restaurant several times and always enjoy it. I have recommended your restaurant to my friends as well. Only one suggestion for improvement. There was a large group of people seated in the middle of the restaurant and they were very loud. Perhaps you could improve your seating arrangement to accommodate all your diners as non-group patrons like to be able to converse at a normal speaking volume. Overall, love Red's, one of my favourite Toronto restaurants. Also, loved the classic rock music."

  • "I went to lunch with my boss who is retiring and another co-worker. I ordered the chicken dish with mushrooms - can't remember what it is called, my coworker also order the same thing. She is allergic to coriander and asked that her dish not have any in it. I however, am not allergic to coriander yet my dish was served without it even though I hadn't requested it. I was very annoyed at that assumption. Needless to say the chicken itself was bland and required more spice - not sure if the coriander would have made any difference. We both asked for some salt, pepper and hot sauce for the chicken."

  • "We won't be going back. The food was average at best. I had the filet mignon which was flavourless. The cut of steak was great and very tender, but it wasn't seasoned at all and the mushroom sauce that accompanied was bland. Our waitress just isn't in the right industry. She came across as completely "fake" and we found it extremely awkward interacting with her. It's never a good feeling when you get uncomfortable when your server approaches. Lastly I was quite disappointed with the wine list. In terms of bottle selections, there was very little in the $75-$100 range. I will say that for those looking for many reasonably priced options at $60 or less Reds has many bottles which is nice to see for a Toronto restaurant."

  • "My partner and I had a wonderful meal (seafood was fresh and food arrived at a good time). One thing though, the waiter took long to check up on us and also get back to us with the bill. It wasn't all that busy in the restaurant yet either... (if you'd like a more quiet, intimate experience, arrive before 8pm). Nonetheless, we appreciated the coat check service and friendly staff! Would go again."

The food was delicious, the price point was reasonable and it was not very loud. Not crazy about the communal tables which is where we were seated even though we had a reservation. It was fine as we were pretty much on our own but would not be a fan of that as don't want others listening in to my business conversation."

It was NYE but the restaurant was not overly busy so the long gaps between getting our dishes half warm was disappointing. Without ever seeing our server there were long waits for drinks as well. Their dessert menu is rather sparse - only 3 options, so might not be a great place for those with a sweet tooth. Will definitely keep this restaurant in mind for future visits!"

The flourless chocolate cake –mousse that we ordered for dessert was a little bit heavy that you would expect from a flourless mousse type of dessert, so wasn’t a good choice, but I should admit it was tasty."

Didn't get first round until 35 minutes after being seated. Was busy with large parties and we were not a priority. Food was excellent. People were very nice. Just slow out of the gate."
