Had a get together with family
there, Sunday around 2pm. Was pretty empty but our service was very slow. And didn't bring out appetizers or salads a few minutes earlier then the food. I understand if it was packed with ppl waiting to be seated and such but had only two tables our group and a couple in the whole place eating. That's why almost no excuses to be that slow at serving or making the dishes. But it was pretty inside and we really had good pizzas. The kids menus came had a personal pizza that was good for like two ppl, and came with a scoop of ice cream for them."

Good value near Mall of America.
Great service and good food at reasonable prices on a Friday night is a welcome experience."

Good and varied food, good
service. Very good experience for lunch with a smaller group and would return and recommend."

The food at RedRossa was
fantastic! Our group sampled a couple pizzas as well as the shrimp pepper pasta and caesar salad. To our delight everything was amazing. It appeared much detail was taken into creating the flavorful dishes. It's much appreciated and we look forward to visiting again soon!"

We had a party of ten. We had to
ask for bread, and it was nothing special. Parts of our meals came out cold. My mother-in-law got a steak dish that noted asparagus, and she found a single 1 inch section of asparagus in the whole dish. There was nothing "Mac n' Cheese" about their Triple Mac & Cheese, and was super skimpy on the prosciutto. Our waitress was also not very attentive. While the restaurant looked great, the food and service were very mediocre, especially for the price."

The service and food were great.
My friend and I were there for over 2 1/2 hours and had a wonderful time. Good happy hour specials crab cakes were so tasty!"

We had a bad experience waiting
for a table at a Cowboy Jacks on the 494 strip last year. I did not want our group to stand around holding drinks for an hour before getting seated. Another popular place, Lucky 13, does not take reservations. Maybe we are just too ornery after working all day to wait around. . .so looking for a Bloomington location that takes reservations, has a happy hour specials and good food. At Red Rossa, we found a spot at the bar for HH, and the table was set up and waiting for us for dinner. The dinners for the group - lasagna, pizzas had good review I found the rosemary chicken panini with a good flavor, but the bread was too crusty. I would have preferred a golden grilled crust, but it was very dry."

First of all the parking space is
terrible it took me almost 30 minutes to find a parking space and it was way far from the restaurant I had to walk almost 5 minutes and the service terrible I thought I could have a romantic dinner with my wife that day but I was very disappointed I wouldn't go back to red rosa.."

Had reservations booked through
OpenTable but when arrived was told to wait for about 25 minutes. However, once seated the server was attentive and nice. The food wasn't all that great, salmon was a bit salty and the lasagna was served cold. Not sure what happened there on the food, but certainly it was a downer. The place itself was nice and offered good ambience."

Visited during Restaurant Week
promotion. This was a lot of food for the price."

I really enjoyed my meal at
Redrossa. It has an open kitchen so you can see the chefs busy at work. The Seafood Diablo tasted fresh with the perfect amount of spice. The bread was small and disappointing, but tasted better when dipped in olive oil and black pepper. The booth was comfortable. Staff was friendly. A little bright in the restaurant, which isn't a huge deal, but not very romantic. Excellent portion size--not too much, not too little. Overall a great, casual restaurant for a weekend dinner with the spouse."

pretty good choices for restaurant
week. wish they would have spaghetti and meatballs since most people relate to that. service was slow since there was only one waiter. not his fault, could have prepared better. checks were messed up, waited a long time for to go box."

My husband and I met with another
couple for a nice dinner. We tried the restaurant week menu which was awesome. My husband is a picky eater but he tried the gnocchi, croquettes, AND some of my salmon flatbread and he liked them all. What I liked the most was how we were not rushed between courses. The waiter was attentive but did not interrupt us do often to break up our conversation. The atmosphere was perfect. I liked the decor and all the staff were friendly and kind. Thanks for participating in the restaurant week experience. Otherwise I hadn't heard of this place."

We set out to try some new
restaurants for Mpls Restaurant Week 2014. The menu selections were very limited for restaurant week, but would have hoped the entrees were some of their best to try to get people to come back. The appetizers were luke warm, the sweet potato kale had very little flavor and the portion was so small. The best part of the meal was they cooked the salmon filet well, but then had too much salt on it. The service was very slow and the lights were too bright for an evening meal."

Delicious food, great ambience,
wonderful service! Five stars out of 5 in everything! Definetly returning to dine there again! two thumbs up!"

Just a few quick helpful hints to
anyone wanting to give this restaurant a try. The menu online with the link through open table, was not the menu we had in hand. We reviewed the menu that open table had before we made reservations because my fiance is vegetarian and I wanted to make sure there where plenty of choices for him. Upon arrival the menus we received where not the same as what we viewed online and did not have a great selection for vegetarians. The restaurant did seem to have plenty of adequate servers but our glasses always seemed to be empty, even water glasses. We had to go with Pizza because of such a non-vegetarian friendly REAL menu we found when we arrived. Pizza was good, not what you REALLY want for a special nite."

We had dinner here one night and
made the mistake of ordering steak. The steak here was the worst I have had. I'm not sure what they did to it but it didn't even taste like beef. The pasta we ordered was alright and was the only dish we actually ate. Service was terrible. The waiter only came to check on us once and I finally had to go find someone to ask for the check. Told them about the steak and all we got was a quick apology, then didn't see the waiter again. Although pasta was decent, I would not come back here for dinner."

Though I have had lunch here
several times, (which are very good), this was our first dinner experience - and we'll definitely repeat it. Food was excellent. I had the salmon and my wife the walleye. Both were very succulent and with appealing presentation. The risotto that was part of my meal was the best risotto that I can recall from any restaurant. The dining area is open to the bar. Thus, the noise level was noticeable, though not intolerable. But one should not go there expecting a quiet ambience."

This dining experience was fun and
tasty. The food was outstanding, I can't think of a better way to put it. We had the calamari; those were the juiciest calamari we've ever had. Not chewy at all. The bartender was very knowledgeable about his drinks; wonderful conversation. The only complaint was the wait staff. We had reservations for 8:15. We arrived at 7:30 for drinks. I notified them that we were there. We weren't expecting to be seated before 8:15, I simply told them we had arrived in case something became available. We waited for an additional 15 minutes AFTER 8:15 for a table. Not a huge complaint but was a tad annoying. None the less, I'd return for more."

I saw some excellent reviews on
the restaurant. The food did not live up to the reviews."
Dined on 2/5/2014
Disappointing. The first time we
ate at this restaurant, the food was great. This time, it was well below par. We ordered a pizza for an appetizer that was burnt on the bottom, Italian nachos which was mostly crumbs. I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, the Italian Strip and asked for it medium rare, it was purple in the middle when I cut into it, way underdone. It also took me more than 5 minutes to get a steak knife to cut into it."
Dined on 2/3/2014
Wait staff and management
attentiveness were better than five stars. Convenient parking across from Mall of America, relaxed, woodsy ambience and popular food and drink selections made for a very happy birthday party."

Had a reunion lunch here last
weekend. The food was amazefest! Our waiter rocked, I have nothing bad to say."
Dined on 12/22/2013
We had a group of 9 and also saw a
group of 14 when we were there. The service was superb and not rushed as we hadn't seen each other for a long time and enjoyed catching up. Once we ordered our food it came quickly and was hot and very flavorful."

Took a small group. Wasn't as good
as my first visit. Cold outside and cold inside (had to leave our coats on). Service was just ok. Slip was divine but the mushroom came out as a thin crust pizza and wasn't as good as I expected. The others liked their pasta. Will try again in summer."

Went for thanksgiving buffet. My
friend and I liked it a lot. Wanting to go again and taste their every day menu."

Spent three hours enjoying our
visit and meal , celebrating a friend's birthday.. Never felt rushed. Food was excellent, good recommendations from our server. She hadn't been working there long, but really knew the menu! Quiet - easy to have conversations"

The booths are comfortable, the
food is good and you are not rushed so you can talk with friends and enjoy a beverage, dinner and the company."
Dined on 11/10/2013
The dishes in general were very
good. The calamari passed my tenderness test. The nachos were very light. The Chicken Marsala was huge and the sauce was excellent. However, the seafood diablo was generally plain, and didn't have a lot of seafood."

Very low key and limited but
Excellent selection of foods. Fairly priced. We'll return."

The walleye was not very fresh -
fishy tasting. Others all really liked their food (pizza, salmon and spaghetti with meatballs."

Our group went for lunch during
restaurant week and it was fabulous! We will definitely be back!"
Dined on 10/24/2013
A group from work went to Redrossa
for lunch during restaurant week, and it was a great spot. The menu had a lot to offer although most of us went with the special restaurant week menu - $10 for soup/appetizer, entree salad/pasta/pizza & a bite of tiramasu for dessert - an incredible value. The shrimp & chicken penne with sun dried tomato & mushroom and a hint of spice in the cream sauce was rich & fantastic. The bite of tiramasu was a full piece that I intended to eat just a bite but ended up finishing it (in about 8 bites). The bar looked huge, and I'd love to go back for a glass of vino!"

We decided to give this place a
try after reading good reviews on Open Table. Not sure why this place got such positive reviews. We arrived at 7:45 on a Saturday night and the place was more than half-empty. But that wasn't our first clue. The restaurant is attached to a very large Best Western hotel. As we were walking in, the hotel shuttle driver was unloading passengers and one asked about the restaurant. The driver said...and I quote..."Meh. Fair." That about sums it up. The food wasn't horrible, but nothing special and a notch lower than an Applebee's or Chili's. It's in the same class of chain restaurant."
