  • "Went to RedRossa during Restaurant Week. Since it is a hotel restaurant, I was not expecting much. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised! Remodeled a couple of years ago, it has a fresh face and inviting decor. It was not packed, but must be because people haven't discovered it! The service was good. The appetizers were great. We tried the Triple Mac and Cheese, so much better than the name implies! Also, the Spicy Chicken and Shrimp Romano was a hit. We all had leftovers, even though we were told the portions were smaller for the Restaurant Week menu. We finished the meal with tiramisu (light and not an overwhelming espresso flavor) and the caramel panna cotta; difficult to choose which was the best. Yum! Spread the word!"

  • "We had the mushroom app, suggested by the lovely waitress. It was great! Would be nice to have as a meal option with a bigger serving. My ceasar salad was really bland. I'm not sure why the onions were so soft (on all dishes)? My meatball panini was all bread and again, bland. My friend had the BBQ pizza which she liked but we both agreed, not very flavorful. RRIG has potential to be a popular place but the food needs some work. The staff was really nice and the place was well kept."

  • "I dined here this past Monday and I was pleasantly surprised to see a robust menu for their $15 3 course meal for restaurant week. For the appetizer, I had a fried mushroom with red sauce. The sauce tasted very fresh but I wished there was a little more mushroom flavor. For my entree, I had a shrimp and chicken penne with a creamy red sauce. The sauce had some heat to it where I was pleasantly surprised. Pasta was cooked perfectly, the chicken was tender, and you can't go wrong having shrimp in a dish. For dessert, I had their Tiramisu. I was surprised to see it come in a slice form, but nonetheless it was delicious. I would go again."

We loved the risotto appetizer and the decor is beautiful! :) we noticed another table had bread and wondered why we didn't get any however the rest of the meal was so filling we didn't need it anyway. I would definitely come back and it's a great location right across from MOA! :)"

  • "For being across the street from Mall of America I am so surprised it is not packed. I understand dinner times are busier, but it was half-full on a Tuesday night. I have been there a couple times on a Saturday afternoon and it was nearly empty. I enjoyed my wood-fired pizza and one person in my investment club had the mac & cheese (it looked good). We were all very pleased with our dinner. There was six of us, but they had tables for bigger groups. Parking is not an issue as well and the prices are good. A much cheaper eat than what you would find in the Mall."

  • "I was concerned as soon as I walked into the restaurant because there was no designated host or hostess. I watched several servers walking around the kitchen and the bar, glancing up at the front, but not coming to seat us. I was considering walking up to the front desk of the hotel to say something when a server finally came up to seat us. I ordered a side salad (which was huge!) and a pizza as well as a margarita (which was extremely disappointing and bland) and it was fairly tasty. By the time we were ready to leave it seemed there was only one server left in the whole restaurant and we considered leaving without paying because we couldn't get our check. ALSO never got checked in to get my Open Table points! Really mad about that!"

Atmosphere was pleasant and noise level acceptable as crowded with other brunch diners. Since buffet, difficult to measure service but staff was attentive to providing beverages and cleaning used plates. This was our 4th time at RedRossa and we'll return again at some future event. "

  • "Had a get together with family there, Sunday around 2pm. Was pretty empty but our service was very slow. And didn't bring out appetizers or salads a few minutes earlier then the food. I understand if it was packed with ppl waiting to be seated and such but had only two tables our group and a couple in the whole place eating. That's why almost no excuses to be that slow at serving or making the dishes. But it was pretty inside and we really had good pizzas. The kids menus came had a personal pizza that was good for like two ppl, and came with a scoop of ice cream for them."

  • "We had a party of ten. We had to ask for bread, and it was nothing special. Parts of our meals came out cold. My mother-in-law got a steak dish that noted asparagus, and she found a single 1 inch section of asparagus in the whole dish. There was nothing "Mac n' Cheese" about their Triple Mac & Cheese, and was super skimpy on the prosciutto. Our waitress was also not very attentive. While the restaurant looked great, the food and service were very mediocre, especially for the price."

  • "We had a bad experience waiting for a table at a Cowboy Jacks on the 494 strip last year. I did not want our group to stand around holding drinks for an hour before getting seated. Another popular place, Lucky 13, does not take reservations. Maybe we are just too ornery after working all day to wait around. . .so looking for a Bloomington location that takes reservations, has a happy hour specials and good food. At Red Rossa, we found a spot at the bar for HH, and the table was set up and waiting for us for dinner. The dinners for the group - lasagna, pizzas had good review I found the rosemary chicken panini with a good flavor, but the bread was too crusty. I would have preferred a golden grilled crust, but it was very dry."

  • "I really enjoyed my meal at Redrossa. It has an open kitchen so you can see the chefs busy at work. The Seafood Diablo tasted fresh with the perfect amount of spice. The bread was small and disappointing, but tasted better when dipped in olive oil and black pepper. The booth was comfortable. Staff was friendly. A little bright in the restaurant, which isn't a huge deal, but not very romantic. Excellent portion size--not too much, not too little. Overall a great, casual restaurant for a weekend dinner with the spouse."

  • "Had reservations booked through OpenTable but when arrived was told to wait for about 25 minutes. However, once seated the server was attentive and nice. The food wasn't all that great, salmon was a bit salty and the lasagna was served cold. Not sure what happened there on the food, but certainly it was a downer. The place itself was nice and offered good ambience."

  • "My husband and I met with another couple for a nice dinner. We tried the restaurant week menu which was awesome. My husband is a picky eater but he tried the gnocchi, croquettes, AND some of my salmon flatbread and he liked them all. What I liked the most was how we were not rushed between courses. The waiter was attentive but did not interrupt us do often to break up our conversation. The atmosphere was perfect. I liked the decor and all the staff were friendly and kind. Thanks for participating in the restaurant week experience. Otherwise I hadn't heard of this place."

  • "We set out to try some new restaurants for Mpls Restaurant Week 2014. The menu selections were very limited for restaurant week, but would have hoped the entrees were some of their best to try to get people to come back. The appetizers were luke warm, the sweet potato kale had very little flavor and the portion was so small. The best part of the meal was they cooked the salmon filet well, but then had too much salt on it. The service was very slow and the lights were too bright for an evening meal."

  • "This dining experience was fun and tasty. The food was outstanding, I can't think of a better way to put it. We had the calamari; those were the juiciest calamari we've ever had. Not chewy at all. The bartender was very knowledgeable about his drinks; wonderful conversation. The only complaint was the wait staff. We had reservations for 8:15. We arrived at 7:30 for drinks. I notified them that we were there. We weren't expecting to be seated before 8:15, I simply told them we had arrived in case something became available. We waited for an additional 15 minutes AFTER 8:15 for a table. Not a huge complaint but was a tad annoying. None the less, I'd return for more."
