Quaint, cozy and authentically Italian. Great salads, delicious thin crust pizza hot out of the wood-burning oven. Our dinner companions raved about the gnocchi and other pasta dish they ordered. Would definitely go back.

I went to Red Tomato last weekend with a group four - my second time there. Although we were trying stuff we haven't had before the food was excellent. We shared two orders of mussels(vino bianco and pesto - easily one of the best mussels I've had in Bethesda), sausage pasta, seafood pasta and two pizzas - red tomato special and the smokey.
My friends were very impressed with the overall experience and we will be back soon for sure.
P.S. They have a very nice selection of affordable Italian wines.

I loved the look of this place -- very warm and inviting. We were there on a very quiet Monday night and there was only one server, but we had no issues with the service. I ordered mussels and while they were good I don't think they were prepared as described on the menu. They had a lovely white wine sauce but I think there were a couple of items missing from the sauce that were described on the menu. The pizza was good, especially the crust.

My husband and I had pasta dishes (the orecchiette with sausage and pasta with bolognese, respectively) although the table next door was having pizza that also looked delicious. The pasta was prepared perfectly. We ate every bite!

A great little place for a family dinner or date night. I went with my parents and fiance and everyone loved it. We had a wide range of picky eaters and everyone found something they liked. The service was great, too. Highly recommended!
