  • "We were greeted at the door by Jennifer who was very inviting and friendly. As we walked to the table, we noted it was clean and the ambience romantic and exciting. It was a Saturday night so people taking the time to enjoy with friends. Camille was our server who was informative of the menu and her timing in delivering food impeccable (don't like my dinner arriving when I'm eating salad). Bill the manager went to all surrounding tables, including ours to be sure guests were pleased with their experience. It was a very nice dining experience . Make reservations, the place was busy and the acoustics noisy, but vibrant. This place is not for guests who are "faint" when it comes time to pay the bill. It was pricey, but great food costs!"

  • "Apps and Salads good but not great, The kitchen had a few misssteps that the Server was able to fix.They made a mistake on my wife's special request for the salad, I ordered a NY strip which was prepared correctly but had quite a bit of fat on it, They over cooked my wife's Filet and did fix it. For a steak house it was somewhat of a dissappointment. The service was good but seamed forced, and not much passion."

  • "We started with the crisp calamari which had a nice aioli with it. I had the filet mignon with garlic sauce and chilies - in the future I wouldn't even order the chilies, the steak was so perfectly seasoned it was fine by itself. I ordered mine medium well, which I understand is not as common, and it came out a bit overcooked (the entire thing was definitely well done). However, my boyfriend's was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The side dishes we ordered were also great - broccoli sauteed with garlic, whipped potatoes, and the risotto of the day with mushrooms and Gruyere cheese. Because we had to be somewhere, our server packed up an order of powdered donuts for us to go which was a really nice touch."

  • "Hands down best steak joint in town. First visit to the downtown location and food was awesome! Perfectly prepped filets. Tater tots were great. Arugula salad - perfecto! Service was most excellent. Bit of a wine list mess - didn't have the first two we ordered and then told me about the 4 other they didn't have before I finally picked one that was in stock."

  • "This being my second time at the new location, I already had my high expectations. None the less they were met! My server Scott did an excellent job meeting all my needs as well as offered plenty of great suggestions. Awesome server! Normally when I go to Red, we always order the usda aged 12oz filet (wonderful as always) and a NY Strip. On this occasion, I opted for the USDA Aged Ribeye....When it arrived I was a bit confused as it appeared to be a NY Strip. I asked my server Scott & he quickly checked with the chef. Chef stated it was a Ribeye.... Basically, they were out of the "bone-in Ribeyes". A bit disappointed getting a Ribeye without the bone but everything else was so perfect that I decided not to complain."

  • "I treated my staff to Red the Steakhouse in Cleveland for our annual "We Made It Through Year-End" celebration lunch and it was the best restaurant we've been to in downtown Cleveland. Each year we choose a new restaurant so we've been around the block, but this experience was the best by far. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, as was the manager. We wanted to order everything on the menu; we could not find room for dessert - a mistake we won't make next time. From the freshly-baked bread loaves to the calamari and mussels diavolo and parmesan tater tots appetizers, to the entrees - steak frites, salmon, and fish du jour (haddock) - not one miss, Beautiful space. The whole experience is one we'll be sharing. Kudos!"

  • "My wife and I were enjoying a night out with dinner and a show. We began the evening with a warm greeting from the hostess, once we arrived inside. We were promptly seated and as well welcomed by our server, Judith, who recalled taking great care of us when we dined at Red a few weeks prior. She was warm, professional and she knew her kitchen. We ordered the lobster tail appetizer special, a prime ribeye medium rare, and the carbonara. Paired with a wonderful Red wine, our evening began with outstanding service and our foodie pallets were well satisfied. The GM, Stephanie, checked in on our experience. Her inquiry was genuine and she provided reasons for us to return. From the kitchen to the door, it was a masterful production. See ya soon!"

I make a reservation whenever I go here and at the other location We were still waiting 20 min+ and they didn't even apologize for our wait. At the new Location we got our table right away and the manager checked on us at least twice. We will definitely be back again!"

  • "Have had dinner here 3 times since their opening. Be prepared for a couple things: If you are dining in the main room, the noise level is unbelievable. There are no buffers in the dining room to reduce the noise level. Second, I had reservations to entertain business guests (they requested RED). I made reservations a week ahead. When arriving, our table was located next to the bar. One of my guests did not drink and the ambiance of being next to the bar is completely different than being in a dining room. It would have been nice if the reservationist had shared that with me since I would have then picked another restaurant. Finally, the food. All I can say it was nothing special. Predictable and ordinary."

  • "My husband and I took my mother-in-law out to dinner last week to "Red", The service was outstanding from the time we walked in until we left: the hostess, coat clerk, our waiter (Lucas) and the manager (Bill). The food itself was amazing. All three of us ordered the bone in rib-eye, the cut of meat was fabulous. Everything we ate, we loved. The doughnut holes were as good as everyone had said in previous reviews!! We will return!!!"

  • "This was our first time at Red. Overall our experience was very good, but there were a couple of issues. The noise level was so loud for most of the meal that we could barely hear each other across the table. For the food, the appetizers were a little disappointing. They have the standard fair that I expect at most restaurant but nothing really special. They tasted great but I always like to see something different or a signature item. The RED salad was good but the cheese and walnuts on it were almost non-existent. The steak was out of this world, as expected, as were the sides. Our server was one of the highlights of the restaurant as far as I'm concerned. She was attentive, responded to all of our requests and did an outstanding job."

  • "Friday night (3/14) my wife and I and friends ate dinner at Red The Steakhouse on Prospect in downtown Cleveland prior to a show at Playhouse Square. We knew this was an upscale restaurant before going at 5 PM as we entered it was apparent this was a special location. Yes, there was plenty of elegant glass and exquisite furnishings and we had a definite feeling of elegance. Members of the wait staff were there to greet guests as we arrived. I was completely impressed by their behavior and presence. Everyone of them created the atmosphere of elegance by their being and presence. This initial feeling was amplified by William Beck, manager, and Yohanna, senior host, set an elegant tone for this venue. Both their actions and dress set the tone."

  • "RED is my new favorite restaurant. The food and service is amazing. The filet came out perfectly cooked and all 4 of the side dishes our group ordered were delicious. From the fresh rolls with galic oil for dipping to the last bite of steak, everything was perfect. It is not a quiet atmosphere but upscale and relaxed at the same time. Very enjoyable evening. The Blue Point used to be my favorite downtown restaurant.....now it is RED, hands down!"

  • "Our seating was way too close to our neighbors and we had no choice to listen to their conversations, which were, at times, quite inappropriate. We also could hardly hear each other without yelling ourselves. I would not recommend for a first date. The food was okay, with my favorite part being the dinner bread with a homemade olive oil and parmesan dipping sauce. The CAB Braciole was questionable in both taste and appearance. In my opinion, it way too expensive a price to pay for the loud atmosphere and not exceptional food. However the restaurant itself was very aethestically appealing and clean."

  • "Tried Red Downtown for the first time during Downtown Restaurant Week. Had the Caesar Salad, Chicken Picatta and Pear Tart, all of which were great. Wine was a bit overpriced, but to be expected at a restaurant of this nature. Hostess and manager were both lovely and accomodating. Seating was comfortable and decor was nice. But our server seemed to be annoyed that we were there and he had to wait on us from the get go. So we rewarded his behavior with a 15% tip. You get what you give, jerk."
