After going there and having a nice dinner, then going to Mortons the following weekend, I truely see why it is my favorite place to eat. The service is amazing. (Rusty is my favorite server). The food presentation is wonderful and the brisket is the by far the best in town. I heard about this place from following LeBron James on facebook and when him and the Miami Heat were in town they are here and mentioned that Red Star was their favorite place in Portland to eat. The race was held in the immediate vacinity of the restaraunt. Consequently, the restaraunt was beyond busy. We could see that our server was overwhelmed, so cut some slack about the length of time it took to get our food. Wished that the kitchen, number of staff was greater to accomodate the enhanced number of guests. Food was good, as usual. I'd like to come back on an non-event weekend and try the brunch again.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Red Star!This is our go-to spot for brunch after the Shamrock Run (since we live in Salem, we don't come to Portland too often) and we absolutely love it.
