  • Parking Details: $5 Valet parking is available on busy nights when parking is limited. Street parking is free after 6pm on weekdays and all day Sat & Sun. Weekday metered parking is $0.25/hr.

    After 6pm every night and all day Sat & Sun, free parking is also available in the HDMG parking lot (see parking map) as well as the Bank's Building parking lot.

Welcome! The Red Stag Supperclub blends old school Wisconsin supper club charm with a contemporary passion for delicious, sustainable, farm-to-table food (CLICK HERE to see our menus). Located in the "Nordeast" Arts District just across the river from downtown, the Red Stag Supperclub opened its doors in November 2007 as the first LEED-CI Certified restaurant project in Minnesota. Red Stag serves brunch, lunch and dinner and has late night live music several nights a week. We accept reservations for half of our dining room and leave the other half open for walk-ins.

  • "We went with another couple to celebrate a birthday. The food was great and cooked to order. Not a huge variety, but the salmon, the burger, and the green bean side were very good. The serve plain water or tonic water, which was unusual and a nice change. Our service was excellent! The down side was the noise level. It was difficult to carry on a conversation at times. We were unable to dine outdoors due to weather."

Great Idea, Red Stag!. Parking was a problem esp after the parking lot across the street in now an apt complex. Food was ok. The ribs were okay. The dessert was great. Of course the wine was good..2012 Chardonnay."

  • "We love this place. Good food, fair prices, nice atmosphere. Our only issue is that it is so LOUD that even leaning across the table, it's nearly impossible to have a conversation. We met with friends for dinner and even though we love, love, love the cheese plate, cheese curds, steaks and other menu items, it was just really hard carry on a conversation. It didn't help this time that there was a group of about 20 behind us...that included a surprise engagement and the ensuing mayhem. We are always seated in the middle of the room. Maybe we will ask to be seated by the windows next time. Service is usually good. This time was slower...I think from the big party."

  • "We've been meaning to come for awhile now, but Dad asked about a Fish Fry for Lent so it was the perfect opportunity. We had both cod and walleye and both were excellent. The truffle popcorn is also very good, but the bread served before the meal was outstanding. We'll definitely be back again and would highly recommend it."

  • "I love Red Stag. I take all of my client's there when I have a lunch meeting. The place is large and the food is excellent. Because of the size, you never have to worry about noise being an issue with a lunch meeting. Also, the food is excellent and reasonably priced for a business lunch. I could go on and on. Visit and you'll be a regular like I am."

  • "We went for the cheap date night deal. The food was good, but not super impressive. I would recommend red stag for the. bar experience and the cool ambiance, plus date night was a good deal. But overall I have never been terribly impressed with their menu. There's a lot more creative places around."

  • "Came here on a slow Sunday afternoon with a friend. Table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Service was awful! My friend and I had to ask a few times for another glass of wine or even to be noticed when we wanted the server's attention. Red Stag needs to fix their service!"

  • "We've been going to Red Stagg for years and will keep going back as long as the food and service keeps up! I made the reservations well in advance for a group of 6 on a Sunday for early dinner. There were plenty of tables available. The service was good, water came right after we sat down and the server took the drink orders & delivered the drinks in no time . The food for most of us was really, really good. The grilled chicken I ordered was the best I've ever had! Our group ordered 3 steaks, and 2 of them seemed to be a little overcooked. The hamburger for one of the group member was delicios and looked really good. Sweets were awesome! Good times! Will definately go back!"

  • "Just dined here a few days ago. The food was good but the service was awful. The waiter took 25 minutes to come over to the table once we sat down. Took another 20 minutes before he came back for our food order. Once we had our food he didn't check in on us once. I'm fairly sure the waiter refilling waters was more attentive. I would definitely go here again, just would make sure I don't have the same waiter."

  • "I love the Red Stag for dinner or a martini at the bar but I tried their brunch for the first time this past Saturday and it was awesome. I am a Benedict fan, so I was happy to see both a traditional and Florentine on the menu. They were decadent and scrumptious. Washed down with a spicy Bloody Mary and we were happy diners. My 3 year old loved it there as well and I am happy to add the Red Stag as another kid friendly restaurant in NE."

I had the veggie hash, which was phenomenal, and I love that they work with local farmers to bring the highest quality ingredients to their dishes. Also, the fabulous brunch cocktail menu went way beyond mimosa vs. bloody mary - I was tempted to order every drink on it! Alas, my sense of responsibility wouldn't allow me so I settled for a Red Beer. I love the dark wood and decorations, their beer list is outstanding, and our server was seriously awesome. Yay, yay, yay Red Stag!"

I was immediately greeted by the bartender, and selected a table. My two guests arrived shortly thereafter. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was very good.   • "We had a fab brunch! Jenn was our server and she was fantastic, checking back on us and making sure we were happy. I started out w a Campari/grapefruit juice and the lobster egg salad served w homemade chips and green salad. My companions had the corn beef hash w eggs and loved it. The complimentary coffee cake and sparkling or still water coasters is a nice touch! Good vibe to the place too. And by the way, the restrooms were ultra modern!"

  • "Full disclosure I am a bit picky because my family owned an upscale restaurant for a while. However, this place had a great atmosphere and pretty good drinks. But my meal was very very salty and the other 5 people I dined with had the same problem. Our waitress was average at best, she kept talking to a co-worker and was inattentive to our table. She also didn't have a clue what the specials were. I think I might give this place another try just because we did enjoy the atmosphere."

  • "The Red Stag has an interesting menu ranging from chicken liver schnitzel to standard steaks, scallops, pork tenderloin, and gnocchi. The three entrees I sampled all had lively accouterments. I'm a fan of the smelt appetizer, which reminds me a little of the boccherones you get in Madrid. Our waitress, a young woman from Berkeley, was friendly and not overly attentive. The $25 wine list is also a plus."

This time was for lunch and my lunch companion and I split the Braised Beef and the Lobster Egg Salad sandwiches because we both wanted both. And boy were they good. Heavenly. The food is a little high priced, but it's excellent and worth it."

  • "I have been here a couple other times and I thought I would give it another go during restaurant week. The food was ok, they have better dishes than what they served during restaurant week. The pork loin was a very small portion and the gnocchi was very salty. The worst part about going to the red stag has always been the inattentive and snobby wait staff. It seems like it's the norm as I've never had different. For that very reason I won't be going back. If I'm going to pay significant money for a meal I'd rather go somewhere that has superior service and makes me feel valued for being there."

  • "The waitstaff was quite attentive. I expected the food to be better for the price. My scallops were good but not much on the plate. My husband agrees that his dinner could have been better for the money. His, big plate, he said turned out to be a small plate and the steak was on the tough side. The dessert, on the other hand, was very good. I had cream brulee and my husband the flourless chocolate cake which we would recommend."

  • "This was our second time going to the Red Stag for dinner and the Cheap Date Night. The food was fabulous. I consider myself a foodie and the Red Stag is definitly up to par. The wine was great, the rosemary focaccia was warm and fragrant, the lamb for our entrees was very flavorful and desert was very much enjoyed by both of us. Desert was a scoop of blood orange sorbet on top of a square of vanilla cheesecake. We were enjoying our night so much we continued to have a few more beers at the bar. I had the Buffalo Sweat porter and we shared two Summit EPAs. Service at our table and at the bar was very friendly and professional. They have separate wait staff that fill up your water which makes me feel like a queen. We will be back again."
